Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) is a form of implementation of the University Islam Negeri Raden Fatah Palembang of Higher Education that plays a strategic role in community empowerment, especially for women. This study aims to analyze the role of the KKN program in improving family welfare through training in pineapple dodol business based on local potential, digital financial literacy using QRIS, and social education. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The results of the study show that the integration of these three program components can enhance entrepreneurial skills, understanding of digital transactions, and social awareness among participants. This program also strengthens the capacity of women as economic agents for their families and communities. The findings confirm that the KKN model based on integrated empowerment is effective in promoting sustainable village development. This research recommends strengthening continuous mentoring and collaboration between universities, village governments, and communities to expand the program's impact.

Abstract

Women’s empowerment is a key strategy to enhance rural economic independence through the development of local potential-based enterprises and the utilization of digital technology. In Petanang Village, Lembak District, Muara Enim Regency, women process cassava into crackers; however, product innovation and marketing remain limited to conventional methods. This community service program aimed to improve women’s capacity through cassava sponge cake innovation and the optimization of social media with the assistance of the local youth organization (Karang Taruna) as digital facilitators. The method applied was a participatory approach involving observation, product innovation training, and digital marketing assistance. The results indicated an improvement in participants’ skills in producing value-added products and utilizing social media for promotion. This program has the potential to serve as a sustainable empowerment model for women-led MSMEs based on local resources and digital literacy. Abstract

This study aims to comparatively analyze the philosophical foundations of Islamic education and Western philosophy, particularly in terms of the objectives and the nature of education. This research employs a library research method with a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach. The data sources are derived from various academic literatures such as books, journals, and scholarly works relevant to the study. Data collection is conducted through documentation techniques, while data analysis uses content analysis and comparative methods. The results indicate that Islamic education is grounded in revelation (the Qur’an and Hadith) and reason, with a theocentric orientation emphasizing the balance of spiritual, intellectual, and moral aspects. In contrast, Western educational philosophy is based on rationalism, empiricism, and humanism, with an anthropocentric orientation focusing on the optimal development of individual potential. In terms of objectives, Islamic education aims at achieving both worldly and hereafter happiness, whereas Western education emphasizes progress, freedom, and worldly well-being. Regarding its nature, Islamic education is viewed as a form of worship and moral development, while Western education is seen as a process of humanization. Despite these fundamental differences, both share similarities in developing human potential. Therefore, an integration of spiritual and rational values is necessary to create a comprehensive educational system that is relevant to contemporary challenges
