Abstract

The nation's intellectual life may be realized via education, which is a tool that is significant for all spheres of society. All pupils must be taught the same material using tactics or procedures that are effective in the educational process. In line with the subjects covered in the classroom, educators can also make use of a variety of learning media. It is believed that using learning resources would improve how effectively pupils understand the material. One of the learning tools that will be utilized in this research is the Secret box. The following are the goals of this study: (1) Fostering students' creativity and curiosity for artifacts created in line with the study topic. (2) Foster a greater sense of cooperation among students when they work in groups. The data processing methods were discovered through field research and helpful conversations with associated parties.

Abstract

The teaching and learning process is a process where there is two-way communication with the aim that the learning material delivered can be well received. In this process as an educator, it is appropriate to try to find and use various ways so that the material being taught can be well understood by students. The mind mapping learning model is an effective way to use in English courses, especially at the undergraduate level of applied environmental health POLTEKES KEMENKES Kabanjahe third semester. Based on the results of the survey analysis in the field, the use of the mind mapping learning model made a very positive contribution. There are also benefits, including first, it is very useful in learning, especially in English courses. It can be seen from 62 respondents 100% agree that this learning model is very useful for English courses. Second, increasing student concentration in the teaching and learning process, it can be seen from 62 respondents 92.6% agreed that their concentration increased by using this model. Third, it can increase student imagination, 93% agree on this. And fourth, it can make the learning atmosphere more interactive. It can be seen from 62 respondents, 88.7% of them agree that the mind mapping learning model can liven up the learning atmosphere.Keywords: Learning mode; Mind mapping; English.

Abstract

Sebagai pendidik guru juga memiliki peran yang cukup penting dalam membangun motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti proses belajar mengajar di ruang kelas. Ada kalanya para siswa sering melupakan motivasi mereka saat berada di sekolah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh banyak faktor, baik dari faktor eksternal dan internal. Maka dari itu tugas seorang guru tidak semata-mata hanya berfokus pada penyampaian materi pembelajaran tetapi juga harus bisa menjadi motivator bagi para siswa.Menciptakan sebuah kompetisi diyakini mampu memacu semangat para siswa agar lebih semangat dalam mengikuti proses belajar mengajar di kelas. Hal ini dilakukan untuk menyadarkan para peserta didik akan tujuan dan target yang hendak mereka capai di masa depan mereka nantinya.Maka dari itu cukup penting dalam proses pembelajaran sebagai pendidik mampu memahami tahapan-tahapan dalam membangun motivasi para siswa khususnya dalam mendorong mereka untuk mendapatkan tujuan yang hendak mereka capai. Pada kesempatan ini proses pembagunan motivasi ini dilakukan di SMP RK Xaverius 2 Kabanjahe dengan siswa kelas VII B dengan menggunakan strategi kompetisi Breakten. Hal ini dilakukan dengan tujuan agar siswa dapat lebih terdorong dan bersemangat dalam mencapai target capaian mereka melalui pembelajaran yang nantinya akan di berikan di ruang kelas.
