Abstract

This study examines the influence of financial and macroeconomic factors on stock returns of palm oil companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2018-2024. Using a panel data analysis of 9 palm oil companies, this study investigates how Earnings Per Share (EPS), Price to Earnings Ratio (PER), Return on Equity (ROE), and inflation affect stock performance in the context of the Indonesian economy. The research methodology applies a causal quantitative approach with data from the IDX quarterly financial reports and BPS inflation data. The sample was selected through a purposive sampling method based on the following criteria: listed on the IDX during the study period, consistency of financial report publication, and completeness of variable data. The strategic position of this sector in the Indonesian economy, which contributes to foreign exchange and rural employment, the importance of understanding its investment dynamics. This study integrates the perspective of development economics, analyzing how capital markets can support national economic development through the palm oil sector. These findings are expected to provide insights for investors, companies, and policy makers.

Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACT The use of QRIS has significantly changed student consumption behavior. Through the adoption of QRIS, students tend to choose QRIS over other payment methods. This study aims to analyze the effect of QRIS use on the consumption behavior of students of the Faculty of Economics, class of 2021–2024 at Campus II, Achmad Yani University, Banjarmasin. The methods used are validity, reliability, classical assumptions, simple linear regression, t-test, and coefficient of determination (R²). Of the 122 students, 86 respondents were selected through purposive sampling with QRIS user criteria. Primary data were obtained through questionnaires. The results show that QRIS use has a positive and significant effect on student consumption behavior. The regression equation Y = -0.405 + 1.229X shows that an increase in one unit of QRIS use increases consumption behavior by 1.229 units. The significance value of the t-test of 0.000 (<0.05) confirms a statistically significant effect. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 35.4% indicates that QRIS explains most of the variation in consumption behavior, with the remainder influenced by other factors. A total of 83.7% of students use QRIS for basic needs such as groceries, stationery, and entertainment (streaming, cinema), while 80.2% use it for food and beverages at cafes, restaurants, or food stalls. The ease and accessibility of QRIS encourages increased consumer behavior. Educational institutions and financial planners can consider digital financial literacy programs to encourage wiser consumption.

Abstract

This study analyzes the economic feasibility of Sebuku Market development through demand-side analysis in a disadvantaged archipelago region of South Kalimantan. Using a cross-sectional survey design with 262 respondents through stratified random sampling, the research employs multiple linear regression to identify spatial demand determinants. Results reveal exceptionally high public support (a 97% approval rate) and strong shopping interest (a mean score of 4.52/5.0). The regression model demonstrates excellent explanatory power (R² = 0.717, F = 71.342, p < 0.001), with seven market attributes and two control variables significantly influencing demand. Product quality exhibits the highest elasticity (β=0.243), followed by service quality (β=0.221), price affordability (β=0.198), and physical infrastructure (β=0.189). The distance variable shows negative elasticity (β = -0.112), confirming the presence of spatial constraints. Economic projections indicate annual turnover of Rp60 billion, aggregate income multiplier effect of Rp16.3 billion/year, and benefit-cost ratio of 1.63 in year one. The study validates market infrastructure as an effective growth pole for inclusive regional development, providing evidence-based policy recommendations to optimize investment in archipelagic contexts.
