Abstract

Rice pest control is a critical challenge in the agricultural sector that requires a deep understanding of rice pest management. Regression analysis is a statistical method capable of describing and predicting cause-and-effect relationships between individuals. In real-life applications, not all relationships exhibit a known curve pattern, and non-identifiable curve forms are often observed. Additionally, a single cause may affect more than one outcome, and the outcomes themselves can have interrelationships. Such relationships can be approached through a multi-response semiparametric regression using a truncated spline multi-group model. This study aims to develop a multi-response semiparametric multi-group regression model using the truncated spline approach to understand the variables influencing rice pest control under light and dark conditions. This model is applied to secondary and simulated data with various scenarios to determine the best model. The study results indicate that the optimal model for secondary data is a semiparametric regression model with a linear order and a single knot point, achieving a determination coefficient of 89.17%. Simulation results show that the scenario 1 model (linear with a single knot point) produces a high determination coefficient. This multi-response regression model proves more optimal when error variance and multicollinearity levels are kept low to moderate.

Abstract

Waste is generated from the activities of living organisms and is divided into organic, inorganic, and hazardous categories. Proper disposal of waste is crucial for minimizing environmental pollution. One effective approach is educating people about Zero Waste principles and implementing the 3Rs: reduce, reuse, and recycle. This activity involved repurposing mineral water gallons as bins for organic and inorganic waste. The PkM activity took place at SD YBPK Kota Kediri on April 26, 2024, targeting all students from grades I to VI, totaling 70 participants. The PkM was conducted using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method and work performance evaluations. The outcomes of this PkM activity included increased knowledge among participants about identifying organic and inorganic waste, as well as heightened awareness of proper waste disposal according to waste classification.

Abstract

HR is beginning to focus more on workers' quality of life, particularly in the Islamic banking business, where service requirements and performance expectations are high. According to its Islamic goal, Bank Syariah Indonesia must create a caring environment that fosters employee health and happiness. Bank Syariah Indonesia employees in Bandar Lampung are examined for how quality of work life influences job satisfaction using perceived organizational support as a moderator. Structured surveys with five-point Likert scales yielded 130 valid responses. Data were analyzed using SEM-PLS, a partial least squares structural equation modeling approach. Data shows that work life quality boosts job satisfaction considerably. Organizational support mediates this relationship, suggesting that workers' feeling of value and employer support boost work-life balance's happiness impact. Good work-life balance, appropriate salary and benefits, competent leadership, and good job placement are all important, according to descriptive data. These findings suggest Islamic banking management should improve HR practices to promote morale and long-term productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the strategy of digitalisation and product innovation in improving the sustainability and competitiveness of MSMEs in Indonesia. This research uses mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative) to obtain comprehensive data. The research involved 10 MSME players representing various sectors, such as culinary, fashion, computer, and services. The research was conducted on MSMEs in the Bojonegoro area. Data Collection Techniques 1) Questionnaires, 2) In-depth Interview, 3) Field Observation. Data Analysis Technique using SWOT analysis to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced by MSMEs. A total of 8 out of 10 MSMEs claimed to have made product innovations, both in the form of packaging, variations in taste/colour, and development of services based on customer needs.Innovations are based on direct customer feedback or through social media. However, only 4 MSMEs conducted regular and structured innovations. Most MSMEs reported an increase in turnover and market reach after implementing digitalisation and product innovation. For example, three culinary MSMEs managed to increase their daily transactions by 40 per cent through QRIS. Another fashion MSME managed to reach buyers from outside the region after uploading a product catalogue on a marketplace. The results of the SWOT analysis indicate that :1. Strengths Unique and locally-based products, proximity to local markets: Emotional and social relationships with local consumers create customer loyalty, High spirit of innovation. 2. Weaknesses: Limited digital literacy: Most MSME players do not understand digital platforms such as e-commerce and digital payments. 3. Opportunities Growth of internet users and e-commerce: Increased online shopping behaviour opens up new markets for local products. 4. Threats: Competition from products outside the region or abroad: Cheaper mass products from outside can threaten the local market. Conclusion: Digitalisation and product innovation are proven to improve the competitiveness of MSMEs in Bendo, Bojonegoro Regency. Despite uneven implementation, preliminary results show an increase in turnover, market expansion, and positive contribution to the local economy.
