Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Behavior Safety (BBS) and identify factors related to Unsafe Actions and Unsafe Conditions in cadets at the General Workshop of Medan Aviation Polytechnic. The research method used was survey and observation, involving the active participation of cadets as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and direct observation of behaviors and conditions that could pose risks in the work environment. The results of the analysis showed that the implementation of BBS had a positive impact in increasing cadets' awareness and compliance with safety procedures. However, the findings also identified a high number of Unsafe Actions, such as inappropriate use of personal protective equipment or negligence in following safety procedures. In addition, Unsafe Conditions were also detected in several areas, such as unsuitability of work equipment and lack of preventive maintenance. This research provides in-depth insight into the factors causing Unsafe Actions and Unsafe Conditions so that concrete corrective measures can be taken to improve safety at the General Workshop of Medan Aviation Polytechnic. The implication of this research is expected to contribute to the development of a more effective security policy and improved work safety for cadets in carrying out activities in the workshop environment.

Abstract

Training skills and how the steps are learned as a learning activity for trainees, as well as starting from the theory about electric motors and practicing sequentially. Understanding each material given in the module is also needed to identify the coil winding of a 1 phase electric motor, especially a water pump. Learning activities are equipped with exercises or evaluations that become a benchmark for the training participants' mastery level. Trainees are expected to understand the explanation from the teaching team so that they can understand well the material that is the basis of repair planning, installing winding sleeves at Cern, winding copper email wire windings to mall boards, attaching windings to the grooves of water pump motors, connecting the main and auxiliary winding coils, tying the windings with nylon thread After finishing winding the wire coil, close the water pump motor that is ready to be rolled again and then test the motor that has been completed in rolling again. After participating in all learning activities in this training, participants are expected to follow the procedures from the planning stages of rolling, installing coil windings, and reinstallation for the quality of winding coils, with good quality and neatness.

Abstract

Community service activities aim to provide participants with experience using Canva to create more interactive learning media and increase participants' motivation in teaching. Canva is currently the most popular website application for graphic design and brand building. Participants can also use Canva as a learning medium; they can also use Canva for social media and to support school activities. Participants can take advantage of better and more templates with Canva Pro. This training was attended by 17 participants: school principals, teachers, and administrative participants. The methods include lectures, question-and-answer discussions, demonstrations, and group presentations. The evaluation showed participants could make PowerPoint presentations, flyers, and class schedules. In the results of the questionnaire recapitulation from 17 participants, the maximum score was 100, obtained from respondents with an average score of 92, with the highest participant score being 100 and a minimum score of 83. Apart from teachers, students can also use the Canva application.
