Abstract

Memiliki tubuh proporsional sangat berpengaruh terhadap berat tubuh dan tinggi badan manusia, dalam menentukan tubuh yang proporsional dapat diketahui dengan menggunakan rumus BMI (Body Mass Index) atau index masa tubuh yang bermanfaat untuk dapat menentukan berat badan yang ideal bagi tiap orang yang telah diklasifikasi menurut WHO, apalagi dengan kemajuan zaman yang sangat modern saat ini maka diperlukannya alat yang dapat mempermudah dalam menentukan berat badan yang ideal tanpa harus menghitung secara manual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui cara alat ukur tinggi badan dan berat badan dapat bekerja dengan baik. Dengan menggunakan komponen utama yaitu arduino uno, sensor load cell sebagai pengukur berat badan, sensor ultrasonik yang berfungsi sebagai pengukur tinggi badan dan DF Player digunakan untuk menghasilkan output suara. Untuk cara penggunaannya, pengguna terlebih dahulu harus berdiri diatas kaca timbangan untuk mengukur berat dan sensor yang diatas kepala akan membaca tinggi badan dan kemudian ketika semua data telah terinput maka selanjutnya arduino uno akan memproses semua data dan kemudian menampilkannya pada layar LCD yang disertai dengan loudspeaker sebagai output suara yang menyatakan ideal atau tidak idealnya si pengguna.

Abstract

Penelitian ini termasuk kedalam penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi terhadap lalu lintas penerbangan untuk keberangkatan dan kedatangan pesawat di Bandara Kualanamu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghitung variable taxi time di Bandara Internasional Kualanamu Deli Serdang; (2) mengetahui penerapan variable time taxi dalam A-CDM di Bandara Internasional Kualanamu Deli Serdang. Variable Taxi Time (VTT) adalah perkiraan waktu yang digunakan oleh pesawat untuk melakukan taxi antara tempat parkir dan landasan pacu atau sebaliknya. Dalam Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) taxi time meliputi Actual taXi-In Time (AXIT) dan Actual Take Off Time (ATOT). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Bandar Udara Internasional Kualanamu Deli Serdang selama 2 (dua) bulan. Populasi penelitian adalah data traffic pesawat selama bulan Agustus dan September 2020. Metode analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: (1) Penghitungan VTT dalam penerapan A-CDM pada Bandara Internasional Kualanamu Deli Serdang dapat meningkatkan efesiensi dalam pengaturan traffic; (2) Nilai AXIT rata-rata menggunakan runway 05 tercepat 4 menit dan terlama 7 menit; (3) Nilai AXIT rata-rata menggunakan runway 23 tercepat 3 menit dan terlama 8 menit; (4) Nilai AXOT rata-rata menggunakan runway 05 tercepat 8 menit dan terlama 16 menit; (5) Nilai AXOT rata-rata menggunakan runway 23 tercepat 10 menit dan terlama 13 menit; (6) Perhitungan VTT dipengaruhi oleh letak posisi nomor parkir dari masing-masing pesawat.

Abstract

The background of this research was based on the continued development of international aviation in the world which was a challenge for the translator to find an equivalent sentence. The purpose of this thesis was to find the equivalence type used in translating the source language to the target language and find the dominant equivalence type used. For solving this problem, the writer used Nida and Taber theory that divided equivalence types into two types, namely formal equivalence or formal correspondence and dynamic equivalence. The method used was descriptive qualitative method. The data was obtained through systematic sampling method. Based on the analysis, the equivalence types of 53 of 66 samples (80%) were translated by using formal correspondence; 12 of 66 samples were translated using dynamic equivalence (18%) and only one sample (2%) did not neither involve in formal correspondence nor dynamic equivalence because SL text did not have translation in TL (reserved). The most dominant equivalence type used in the translation was formal correspondence.

Abstract

Process of selecting outstanding cadets is a multi-criteria problem, so get objectively achieving cadets, a decision support system with multiple criteria is needed. As an appreciation for achievement, a few universities provide scholarships for high achieving students. However, a few universities choose outstanding students based only on GPA. This study aims to analyze the application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method in the Decision Support System for the selection of cadets so that objectively achieving candidates can be determined. Because the number of prospective cadets with many achievements, Random Index (IR) value is obtained from IR table > 15. This study uses 4 criteria, namely the GPA criteria with eigenvectors = 0.111, Scientific works with eigenvectors = 0.563, extracurricular (Achievement) with eigen vector = 0.246 Foreign language proficiency with eigenvector = 0.08. From the research results obtained the value of CR = -0,987 <= 0.1, then the value of the comparison criteria is consistent. The results showed that there were differences in the ranking of outstanding cadets at the Medan Aviation Polytechnic according to the GPA and the AHP method

Abstract

The research aims to: (1) give comprehension of the concept of E-Learning as an instructional media; (2) develop E-Learning based instructional media for English; (3) know the effectiveness of E-Learning as an instructional media to improve cadets’ skill in English. E-Learning based instructional media was developed in Learning Management System (LMS) of Medan Civil Aviation Academy consisting of applicable features to be used easily and effectively by lecturer and cadets based on Elementary English lesson plan. The research was conducted at Medan Civil Aviation Academy in the odd semester of 2019/2020 academic year. The population was 144 cadets of first year and 24 cadets were taken as the sample through cluster random sampling technique. The method used in this research was research and development method and the technique of collecting data were by test and questionnaire.The results of the research concluded that: (1) cadets conducting E-Learning based instructional media achieved higher score (70,10) than conventional method (56,67); (2) development of E-Learning based instructional media showed high effectiveness in learning process gained from valid and reliable questionnaire (r11 = 0.8205); (3) development of E-Learning based instructional media was stated in “ a very good category” in term of usability aspect.

Abstract

Abstract: The Effect Of Linguistic Intelligence, Learning Motivation, And Self-Trust On Communication Performance Taruna Air Traffic Guide In The Tower Lab The Air Traffic Control Program at the Medan Aviation Polytechnic aims to produce students who are able to become professional Air Traffic Controller (ATC) personnel at airports that provide air traffic control services. In doing their duties, the air traffic controller communicates with the pilot to guide the aircraft in accordance with aviation safety rules. In conducting flight communication, there are several aspects that need to be considered such as self-confidence, learning motivation and language intelligence. The research conducted at the Medan Aviation Polytechnic involved 103 cadets as the research sample. Retrieval of data using measuring instruments from each aspect that had previously been tested for validity and reliability. The result of the study indicates that there is a positive and significant influence between language intelligence, self-confidence, learning motivation on communication performance. Keywords: Communication Performance; Linguistic Intelligent; Motivation; Self-Confidence Abstrak: Pengaruh Kecerdasan Linguistik, Motivasi Belajar, dan Kepercayaan Diri Terhadap Communication Performance Taruna Pemanduan Lalu Lintas Udara di Lab Tower. Program Pemanduan Lalu Lintas Udara di Politeknik Penerbangan Medan bertujuan menghasilkan peserta didik yang mampu menjadi tenaga professional Air Traffic Controller (ATC) di bandara udara yang memberikan layanan pengaturan lalu lintas udara. Dalam tugasnya pemandu lalu lintas udara berkomunikasi dengan pilot untuk memandu pesawat sesuai dengan aturan keselamatan penerbangan. Dalam melakukan komunikasi penerbangan terdapat beberapa aspek yang perlu diperhatikan seperti kepercayaan diri, motovasi belajar dan kecerdasan bahasa. Penelitian yang dilakukan di Politeknik Penerbangan Medan melibatkan 103 orang taruna sebagai sampel penelitian. Pengambilan data menggunakan alat ukur dari masing-masing aspek yang sebelumnya telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan bahasa, kepercayaan diri, motivasi belajar  terhadap communication performance. Kata Kunci: Communication Performance, Kecerdasan Bahasa, Kepercayaan Diri, Motivasi Belajar

Abstract

Community service activities aim to provide participants with experience using Canva to create more interactive learning media and increase participants' motivation in teaching. Canva is currently the most popular website application for graphic design and brand building. Participants can also use Canva as a learning medium; they can also use Canva for social media and to support school activities. Participants can take advantage of better and more templates with Canva Pro. This training was attended by 17 participants: school principals, teachers, and administrative participants. The methods include lectures, question-and-answer discussions, demonstrations, and group presentations. The evaluation showed participants could make PowerPoint presentations, flyers, and class schedules. In the results of the questionnaire recapitulation from 17 participants, the maximum score was 100, obtained from respondents with an average score of 92, with the highest participant score being 100 and a minimum score of 83. Apart from teachers, students can also use the Canva application.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan prototipe sistem monitoring daya yang digunakan pada Lampu Apron Floodlight, dengan tujuan utama memungkinkan para teknisi untuk mendeteksi dengan cepat lampu mana yang mati atau mengalami gangguan. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan pelayanan ter-hadap keselamatan dan keamanan penerbangan dapat ditingkatkan secara efektif. Prototipe ini menggunakan perangkat NodeMCU ESP8266 dan PZEM-004T untuk mengukur arus pada lampu Apron Floodlight, dengan hasil pengukuran berupa data arus, tegangan, dan daya. Untuk memungkinkan monitoring secara real-time, data pengukuran tersebut dikirimkan ke database server sistem monitor-ing melalui perangkat Internet of Things (IoT). Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menghasilkan prototipe sistem monitoring penggunaan daya lampu Apron Floodlight yang berbasis IoT, memungkinkan deteksi dini terhadap lampu yang mati atau men-galami gangguan, dan memperkuat aspek keselamatan dan kea-manan penerbangan.

Abstract

Pelatihan Bahasa Inggris penerbangan (Aviation English) dan Pengukuran Minat Bakat diberikan di SMK Penerbangan Angkasa Nasional (SPAN) Medan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman Bahasa Inggris yang digunakan dalam dunia penerbangan serta mengukur minat bakat siswa untuk membantu mengarahkan siswa dalam mengetahui minat yang sesuai dengan bakatnya. Pelatihan dilakukan secara tatap muka dan melibatkan metode yang atraktif dan interaktif dalam penyampaian materi. Evaluasi pelatihan dilakukan melalui pretest, posttest, dan kuesioner untuk mengukur keberhasilan pelatihan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa peserta pelatihan dapat menerima materi dengan baik. Hal ini terbukti dari peningkatan pemahaman peserta sebesar 9,75% antara nilai pretest dan posttest. Kuesioner mengenai penyelenggaraan pelatihan mendapatkan nilai 4,225 dalam kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan Aviation English dan Pengukuran Minat Bakat di SMK Penerbangan Angkasa Nasional (SPAN) Medan mampu memberikan pemahaman yang baik dan dampak positif kepada pesertanya.

Abstract

An e-module aviation speaking preparation test has been developed to support cadets of aviation vocational schools in preparing English language proficiency tests. This research aimed to assess whether there was an improvement in cadets’ aviation speaking preparation test scores after studying the E-Module. A sample of 120 cadets participated in the study to examine the effect of E-Module aviation speaking preparation test to enhance aviation speaking abilities. The validation test score of 89.5% indicates that the E-Module aviation speaking preparation test is very valid for usage. Independent sample T-test results revealed differences between pretest and posttest scores of the e-module aviation speaking preparation test for cadets at both aviation polytechnics. Paired T-test results indicated that cadets who utilized the E-Module achieved higher learning with a significance value of (0.000)<α (0.05). The correlation between pretest and posttest scores and the learning outcomes of the E-Module aviation speaking preparation test showed a relatively high level of correlation, with a coefficient of 0.480 and a significance value of Sig (2-tailed=0.000)<½ α (0.025). These findings suggest that the E-Module aviation speaking preparation test effectively enhances the aviation English speaking abilities of cadets.
