Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is given to infants aged 0-6 months, because the best nutrition for babies is only obtained through breast milk (WHO, 2020). According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO) worldwide exclusive breastfeeding coverage is only around 44 percent during the 2015-2020 period. Based on data from the 2019 Indonesian health profile, it is stated that the percentage of exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Indonesia for infants 0-6 months is 67.74 percent. Exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Prabumulih City in 2019 was 65.8 percent. The results of a preliminary study at the Prabumulih Timur Health Center covered only 43.1 percent of exclusive breastfeeding. The results showed that from 78 respondents. It was found that those who gave exclusive breastfeeding were 38 (48.7%) and those who did not gave exclusive breastfeeding were 40 (51.3%), low level of education 44 (56.4%) and higher education 34 (43.6%). working mothers 44 (56.4%) and mothers who did not work 34 (43.6%), low parity 30 (38.5%) and high parity 48 (61.5%), normal delivery 59 (75.6% ) and CS 19 delivery (24.4%). chi-square results 4 (four) significant variables with p-value <0.05, namely education level variable p-value = 0.013, OR = 0.280 (95% CI = 0.109-0.714), employment status p-value = 0.002 , OR = 0.193 (95% CI = 0.073-0.514), parity with p-value = 0.023, OR = 3.333 (95% CI = 1.279-8.688), delivery process with p-value = 0.012, OR = 5.100 (95% CI= 1,509-17,237). The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between parity and the process of giving birth simultaneously with exclusive breastfeeding in the working area of the Prabumulih Timur Health Center, Prabumulih City in 2021. It is recommended that the community give exclusive breastfeeding to their babies in order to prevent infant morbidity.

Abstract

Anemia in pregnant women is one of the most common health problems experienced by pregnant women. Causes of anemia in pregnant women include maternal compliance in consuming FE tablets, parity, age of pregnant women, number of Antenatal Care (ANC) visits and gestational spacing. This study aims to determine the relationship between age, parity and pregnancy distance with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women. The study used an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The population of all multiparous pregnant women was 186 respondents. The sampling technique used systematic random sampling with a sample of 65 respondents. Collecting data on the variables of anemia, age, parity and pregnancy interval using a checklist. The research was conducted at the Independent Midwife Practice of Sukajadi Village, Banyuasin Regency in July-August 2021. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. More than half of pregnant women with anemia (66.2%), more than half of pregnant women with high risk age (55.4%), more than half of pregnant women with low priority (52.3%), and most pregnant women with low-risk pregnancies (75.4%). There is no relationship between age and the incidence of anemia, p value 0.052 and odds ratio 3.267, there is a parity relationship with the incidence of anemia, p value is 0.004 and odds ratio is 5.200, there is a relationship between pregnancy distance and the incidence of anemia, p value is 0.007 and odd ratio is 11.250. In this study is that the age of pregnant women has no relationship with the incidence of anemia, parity and distance between pregnancies has a relationship with the incidence of anemia in multiparous pregnant women.

Abstract

Nausea and vomiting in pregnancy is a physiological thing, the influence of hormones in pregnancy Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) causes nausea and vomiting. The purpose of this study is to know the relationship between education, age and parity simultaneously with Hyperemesis Gravidarum at Bhayangkara Hospital Palembang in 2020. This research is a quantitative research type of descriptive analytic research with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all pregnant women who were recorded in the medical records of Bhayangkara Hospital in 2020 amounted to 162 respondents. The sample size is determined by the slovin formula and obtained by 62 respondents. Samples were taken using simple random sampling technique. The results of the univariate analysis were 43 (69.4%) respondents who experienced hyperemesis gravidarum and 19 (30.6%) who did not experience hyperemesis gravidarum, 33 (53.2%) low educated respondents and 33.2% high educated respondents. 29 (46.8%), age respondents who are at risk are 36 (58.1%) and those who are not at risk are 26 (41.9%). mothers with low parity amounted to 40 (64.5%) and mothers with high parity amounted to 22 (35.5%). The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between education with a p value of 0.000, age with a p value of 0.049 and parity with a p value of 0.001 simultaneously with hyperemesis gravidarum at Bhayangkara Hospital Palembang in 2020. The suggestions for health workers from this study It is hoped that health workers at Bhayangkara Hospital Palembang, can be alert to provide information and education to pregnant women regarding their pregnancy.
