Abstract

This research to design a smaller and easy to operate meatball maker machine. This design will simplify, speed up and minimize the energy expended in the meatball maker machine. Simulation of frame strength using Solidwork 2018. The simulation value of von Mises stress on the frame is with a maximum stress of 10,550,430.00 N/m2 and a minimum of 90,629 N/m2 with a yield strength of 250,000,000.00 N/m2. Displacement in the simulation of displacement is with a maximum value of 0.154 mm and a minimum of 0.000 mm. The value of the safety factor from the simulation results is 24. Static simulation results of the strength of the meatball printing machine frame using ASTM A36 Steel L 30 mm x 30 mm 3 mm thick with a load of 25 kg, the frame is able to withstand engine performance during operation.

Abstract

Sistem informasi merupakan sebuah wadah yang efektif dan praktis dalam menyebarkan informasi, literasi dan modul pembelajaran terutama di sektor pendidikan. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada pencarian internet mengenai literasi di bidang teknik mesin maka banyak sekali informasi yang ditampilkan, namun informasi ini kebanyakan hanya berdasarkan asumsi tanpa dilakukan pengujian secara ilmiah, tentu hal ini dapat menyesatkan para siswa dan guru dalam mencari literasi dibidang teknik mesin. Perancangan sistem informasi MGMP SMK teknik mesin kota Padang berupaya menciptakan sebuah sitem informasi terpusat yang kredibel, sesuai standar bahan ajar, dan sesuai hasil pengujian ilmiah untuk seluruh anggota  MGMP SMK teknik mesin sekota Padang. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah merancang sebuah sistem informasi untuk MGMP SMK teknik mesin kota Padang serta  memberikan pelatihan bagaimana cara mengoperasikan sistem informasi MGMP berbasis website dengan menggunakan metode sosialisasi dan demonstrasi langsung kepada anggota MGMP SMK teknik mesin sekota Padang yang dilakukan di SMKN 1 Sumbar. Hasil pengabdian ini berjalan dengan baik hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil evaluasi angket yang dilakukan yaitu hampir 100% peserta sosialisasi menyatakan SS (Sangat Setuju) dan jumlah trafik  website pada bulan pertama sebayak  90 tampilan dan 59 pengunjung

Abstract

Sampah merupakan barang tidak berguna yang harus dihabiskan/dikurangi karena menganggu kehidupan lingkungan. Menurut sifatnya ada dua jenis sampah yaitu dapat terbakar dan tidak dapat terbakar, kalau dibakar menghasilkan abu yang bisa dimanfaatkan untuk tanaman, sedangkan yang tidak terbakar perlu daur ulang. Budaya masyarakat kebanyakan belum memperhatikan kesehatan lingkungan sehingga membuang sampah sembarangan, terutama sampah organik dan platik, terlihat di sepanjang jalan banyak sampah berserakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang, membuat dan menguji kereta pembakar sampah yang dapat didorong di jalanan. Kereta pembakar sampah diharapkan dapat memisahkan abu sisa pembakaran (tempat pembakar dibuat tirus bercelah), bertemperatur tinggi, panasnya terpusat (ditutup dengan pelat besi, serta cerobong asap diatasnya) dan dapat menelusuri jalanan (memakai roda). Untuk dapat mempertahankan temperatur yang tinggi (dimasukkan kayu yang menyisakan bara apabila dibakar). Sisa pembakaran pun tidak memerlukan lahan pengumpul dimana sampah plastik memerlukan waktu lama untuk lapuk menjadi tanah (50-100 tahun). Hasil pengujian memperlihatkan bahwa 15 kg sampah dapat terbakar dalam jangka waktu 1 jam, dengan temperatur berkisar antara 500-620 oC, abu sisa pembakaran 1,1 kg dengan kondisi yang cukup bersih dari sisa pembakaran. Radiasi sebaran panas tidak terlalu mengganggu dimana tanaman berjarak satu meter tidak menjadi layu, sedangkan asap dapat mengalir pada ketinggian dua meter lebih.

Abstract

The source of the orphanage's well water is low quality, so the orphanage does not use the water for drinking purposes and only for other purposes such as bathing, washing, toileting and cooking. The purpose of this study was to analyze the well water quality of the Aisyiyah Orphanage, Koto Tangah based on chemical parameters including pH, iron and manganese levels according to the Regulation of Health Minister Republic Indonesia Number 32 of 2017. Sampling was carried out at two well sources with a sample point distance of about 150 m with purposive sampling method. As for testing pH, iron and manganese levels are in accordance with SNI: 06-6989.11-2019 and SNI: 06-6989.4-2019. The results of testing the quality of the well water are 1) pH testing for all points ranging from 7.18-7.72 which is still within the maximum limit level between 6.0-9.0. 2) Testing the iron content of well sample 1 (0.156 g/mL) and well sample 2 (3.371 mg/L), it was found that sample 1 was still below the threshold value while well sample 2 exceeded the threshold value set by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia number 32 of 2017. 3) Tests for manganese levels were found to be <0.038 mg/L and were still below the threshold of 0.5 mg/L. It is hoped that this data will become additional valuable information for the managers and children of the Aisyiyah Orphanage, Koto Tangah Padang

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the mechanical properties of nickel-based superalloys with variations in alloy chemical compositions using the Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) method with the assistance of the pandas profiling library on Google Colab. In this study, data from 312 tensile tests of nickel-based superalloys were used as research samples, with alloy chemical compositions including carbon (C), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo), vanadium (V), nitrogen (N), niobium (Nb), cobalt (Co), tungsten (W), aluminum (Al), and titanium (Ti), as well as mechanical properties such as yield strength (YS), tensile strength (TS), and elongation (EL). The methodology used in this study was the EDA method with the assistance of the pandas profiling library on Google Colab, which enables the automatic creation of a dataset report, presenting information on various aspects such as data structure, descriptive statistics, correlation, distribution, and missing values. The results show that yield strength has a fairly high correlation with titanium (0.51), medium correlations with nickel (0.25), vanadium (0.2), and cobalt (0.2). Tensile strength in nickel-based superalloys has a fairly high correlation with yield strength (0.88), carbon (0.49), and cobalt (0.55), and medium correlations with titanium (0.25) and vanadium (0.25). Elongation in nickel-based superalloys has a negative and fairly high correlation with tensile strength (-0.62) and yield strength (-0.58). Some warnings for missing data and zero values in some variables were identified. These results indicate that the pandas profiling library can be used as a tool to analyze the data of mechanical properties of nickel-based superalloys quickly and easily, and provide clear information on data patterns, data structure, and correlation among data.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of differences in tire pressure on brake testing at the Unit Pelaksana Teknis Daerah (UPTD) Motor Vehicle Testing, Solok Regency, the implementation of this analysis is to find the efficiency and deviation of the braking force on the tool. Test Brake Tester as well as the condition and calibration of the Brake Tester optimally so that the results of the test equipment are accurate so as to reduce errors in the test results. This research was conducted at the Motor Vehicle Testing Building, Solok Regency, with this research it is expected to be able to find the effect of differences in tire pressure on the efficiency and storage of the braking force. From the analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that different tire pressures affect the efficiency and deviation of the braking force on the Brake Tester, so it is necessary to check the tires regularly and once a year calibration of the test equipment must be carried out correctly.

Abstract

Boraks pada saat sekarang ini banyak digunakan oleh produsen makanan dalam mengolah makanannya seperti alam pembuatan mie basah, lontong/ketupat, baksi, sosis dan bahkan ada yang digunakan dalam pembuatan kecap. Penyalahgunaan boraks sebagai bahan aditif pada pangan ini banyak dilakukan para pengusaha kuliner yang ingin mengambil banyak keuntungan dari konsumen-konsumennya. Adapun tujuan dari penambahan boraks pada makanan adalah meningkatkan daya awet dan menciptakan tekstur yang kenyal. Borakspun mudah didapatkan dipasaran yang dikenal dengan sebutan bleng, pijer ata gendar. Mengkonsumsi makanan yang mengandung boraks memang tidak serta berakibat buruk secara langsung, tetapi penumpukan boraks yang diserap oleh tubuh akan menyebabkan gangguan otak, hati dan ginjal. Oleh karena itu perlu kita mengadakan pengabdian kepada mitra pengabdian kita yaitu ibu-ibu yang bergabung dalam Ikatan Keluarga Koto Laweh yang berdomisili dikota Padang dengan tujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan mitra pengabdian ini mengenai bahaya boraks pada makanan. yang termakan secara terus menerus, ciri-ciri makanan yang mengandung boraks, dan pencegahan kita supaya tidak mengkonsumsi makanan yang mengandung boraks. Metode yang digunakan yaitu ceramah, tanya jawab dan diskusi serta pemberian angket sebelum dan sesuda sosialisasi. Adapun hasil yang didapatkan dalam kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkannya pengetahuan mitra mengenai bahaya boraks terhadap makanan dari 50% ke 91.50% dan diharapkan mitra bisa berusaha untuk lebih teliti lagi membeli makanan jajanan serta lebih mengupayakan untuk memakan makanan yang diolah sendiri dengan bahan-bahan yang alami tanpa pengawet agar terhindar dari penyakit-penyakit yang disebabkan oleh penumpukan bahan aditif terutama pengawet pada tubuh.

Abstract

This research focuses on the design of a rotary table hydroponic device for effective, efficient, and space-saving plant growth. With machine dimensions of 1570 x 600 x 2360 mm, a frame made of 2 mm thick 30 x 30 mm galvanized hollow steel, and a 1.5 HP electric motor, the machine is engineered to maximize land utilization in hydroponic methods. Stress analysis on the frame reveals maximum and minimum values of 3,631e+01 MPa and 2,064e-03 MPa, respectively, while the safety factor reaches 1,211e+05 and 6,886e+00, surpassing the safety factor range for static loads. The results of this experiment confirm the effectiveness and safety of the design, demonstrating that this rotary table hydroponic device can be optimally utilized in hydroponic plant cultivation.

Abstract

Cafes have become a favorite place for various groups by providing a variety of food and drinks. However, challenges such as worker fatigue and human error often interfere with service. To overcome these problems, this research developed an intelligent waiter robot named Deqorel. Deqorel is designed to improve restaurant service efficiency through trajectory sensor-based automatic navigation and optimization algorithms. Deqorel is equipped with a 15-inch interactive screen, an energy-efficient DC motor, and a lithium-ion battery that supports operations for long periods of time. The robot frame uses 304 stainless steel with stress calculations to ensure strength and safety. The results show that Deqorel is able to provide accurate, fast, and responsive service in a dynamic restaurant environment, thereby increasing customer satisfaction as well as restaurant productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of two types of thermal insulation materials, namely polyurethane (PU) foam and basaltwool, in reducing heat transfer from the engine compartment to the passenger cabin through the bus bulkhead structure. Optimal thermal insulation is essential to maintain cabin thermal comfort and enhance safety within the vehicle interior. The testing methods included measurements of thermal conductivity and evaluations of each material’s resistance to extreme temperatures. The results indicate that PU foam exhibits lower thermal conductivity (±0.020–0.028 W/m·K) and achieves heat retention efficiency of 95–98% at temperatures around 100°C. On the other hand, basaltwool shows slightly higher thermal conductivity (±0.035–0.040 W/m·K) with efficiency ranging from 90–95%, but significantly outperforms in terms of heat resistance, withstanding temperatures as high as 600–1000°C. Based on these findings, PU foam is considered more suitable for applications that require thermal efficiency at moderate temperatures, while basaltwool is better suited for environments exposed to continuous high temperatures. Therefore, the appropriate selection of insulation material should be based on specific operational conditions to optimize both thermal comfort and cabin safety.
