Abstract

The employee branding program is a forum formed by Grand Jatra Hotel Pekanbaru to create increasingly qualified employees in their profession. This program is formed by considering the relationship between the company and employees. The form of the employee branding program at Grand Jatra is training, evaluation, competition and awards. The awards applied by Grand Jatra Hotel are various types, namely best therapist, best room, best smile, best wine, best grooming, best ambassador, and the highlight is best employee of the year. The purpose of establishing an employee branding program is to make employees more comfortable working in Grand Jatra, so that employees can develop their talents, foster a healthy spirit of competition and employees are increasingly proactive in their work. The purpose of this study was to determine the form of the employee branding program and the form of Grand Jatra Hotel Pekanbaru's internal communication in implementing the employee branding program. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. The subjects involved in this study were determined based on a purposive technique, which consisted of HR Manager, HRD, SPA Manager, FO Manager, Senior Room Boy, Embassy Coordinator, GSA, and Senior Laundry. Data analysis techniques used are using the interactive data analysis model of Miles and Huberman, using the technique of checking the validity of the data, namely triangulation and extension of participation.       The results showed that the form of an employee branding program consisted of training, evaluation, competition and finally the award. The form of Grand Jatra Hotel Pekanbaru's internal communication the organization participates in paying attention to the people who work in the organization by creating a safe and comfortable communication and organizational climate for the company. Internal communication used is in the form of vertical, from top to bottom, from the bottom up, which is semi-informal depending on the conditions in the delivery of information and horizontally which is interpreted by communication between employees who tend to be informal, and information is easier to obtain. Keywords:  Internal communication, Employee branding, Implementation

Abstract

The Lion Air Airline was founded in 2000, is one of the pioneers ofcommercial aviation in Indonesia. Lion Air is one of the air transportation of non-governmental early generations who have managed to get through the crisis and hasgrown rapidly to face the competition by developing organizational, operationalcapabilities and also its fleet. The actual case is less rapid handling of the crisis wasmade by the Lion Air Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine how thepublic relations strategy in handling the crisis at the image of Lion Air in Pekanbaru,as well as factors related to the public relations strategy in handling the crisis at theLion Air in Pekanbaru.This study used qualitative methods with descriptive approach, which is aproblem-solving procedures are investigated, by describing / depicting the object ofresearch at the present time. Based on the facts that appear or as they are, while theframework uses a model of Strategic Communications.The results of this study indicate that public relations strategies conducted byLion Air Pekanbaru. They have a strategy for dealing with image crisis include:strategies to identify the issues that led to the crisis, map the needs of reporters duringa crisis, prepare information for management, and have the image enhancementstrategies include flight scheduling, fleet use of new, lower price , and using themethod of a press conference to facilitate imaging convey messages to the public.Lion Air branch of Pekanbaru also use existing media in the city of Pekanbaru, suchas Riau Pos, and electronic media such as aditiya FM, and in collaboration with aleading telecommunications company Telkomsel.Keyword : Communication, Strategy, Crisis

Abstract

This research based on social conflict society that occurred in Tesso Nilo National Park (TNNP). Conflict occured because of expansion of the area to 100.000 acres based by letter no 522. Ekbang /6630 date 21 November 2009 which included a tribal of Petalangan region. Tribal customs territory covers an area Petalangan is Sorek, Ukui, Langgam and Tesso. This study aims to determine how the shape of social conflict in the region Tesso Nilo, knowing the communication strategy Tesso Nilo National Park Authority (BTNTN) in resolving conflicts, and knowing BTNTN efforts in economic development alternative for people Tesso Nilo region.This research use qualitative methods that present descriptive analysis. Data collective technic that we use is observation, interview and documentation. To obtained validity data in this research, use participation extension and triangulation. Subject of this research is BTNTN Chief, Forest Police (Investigation), Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) Tesso Nilo Community Forum, People living in the area TNNP, The company (PT.RAPP).The result of this research showed the characteristics of conflict in the region TNNP form of cultural conflict, social conflict, economic conflict and conflict of laws. BTNTN communication strategy in dealing with social conflict in TNNP form analyst and research, policy formulation, program planning, and implementation of communication activities. BTNTN also receive feedback from the community and evaluation of the program activities. Communication Strategies Conflict Resolution BTNTN in the form of negotiation, mediation, facilitation and diplomacy, confrontation. Initiated the development of alternative economic development BTNTN on the utilization of natural honey, ecotourism program cooperation BTNTN and WWF Indonesia, the utilization of which there are many fish in the rivers in the area estates and TNNP and utilization of unused land.Key word: Communication strategy, Social conflict, Handling conflict, Economic development alternative , Tesso Nilo National Park Authority.

Abstract

The Mempura River Tourism Village is a tourist village located in Siak Regency. This tourist village has quite good natural potential and is still beautiful, and cultural arts are still very awake. This study aims to determine community participation in developing the Mempura River Tourism Village and to find out the barriers to community participation in developing the Mempura River Tourism Village.This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research subjects were the Tourism Office of Siak Regency, the tourism conscious group (pokdarwis) of Mempura River, the Mempura River community and the chairman of the Malay traditional institution. Data collection is done through observation, document study, interviews and documentation. While data analysis is done by reducing data, presenting data, drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the Mempura River Tourism Village has natural attractions such as the beauty of the river, agro-tourism such as durian gardens, cultural arts such as silat, zapin and kompang which are still maintained. However, community participation in the Mempura River Tourism Village is still low in advancing their villages. Accessibility to the Mempura River Tourism Village is very easy with good road conditions. Keywords : community participation, tourist village, the Mempura River

Abstract

Interpersonal communication is very important upon improvingachievement athletes. One of the way for that by new coach is two way andsupportive relation and that called interpersonal communication. This researchaims to determine the effectiveness and resistance of coaches in conductinginterpersonal communication in The Ministry For Youth and Sports in Riau.This research uses descriptive qualitative method with the selection ofinformants using purposive sampling technique that selects five selectedinformants, namely 1 badminton coach and 4 badminton athletes whoparticipated in the event of National Students Sports Competition in September2015 ago. The data collecting techniques were by interview, observation anddocumentation. Meanwhile, the techniques of data analysis refer to the interactivemodel of Huberman and Miles. To check the validity of the data, the extension ofparticipation and triangulation techniques have been applied.The results of this study show that the effectiveness of interpersonalcommunication between coaches and athletes badminton is quite effective. Theexplain about quite effective in the results was found barriers, nevertheless theaims still apllied. As for barriers in interpersonal communication betweencoaches and athletes badminton in improving achievement are human andpsychological barriers. As for human barriers concerning human intelligence andthe intelligence of the athletes in interpreting and applying the message given bythe coach, while, for the psychological barriers regarding the various charactersof each and every athlete. As for physcial barriers concerning facilities daninfrastructure scant fulfill provision rule from badminton.Keyword :Interpersonal communication, badminton, athletes, coach.

Abstract

The da’i program at SD IT Az-Zuhra Islamic School is a program whose goal is to develop the character and lecturing abilities of the students. Fostering and training elementary school students is not an easy matter, because they are very young and had never lectured in public before. The new students learned lecturing after they joined the da’i group until they get sufficient expertise in public speaking. The purpose of this study is to determine the methods, media, and communication obstacles that occur in the training process at the Az-Zuhra Islamic School. This study used qualitative research methods. The research was conducted at the SD IT Az-Zuhra Islamic School Pekanbaru. Informant selection is done by purposive technique. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis technique use descriptive analysis according to Miles and Huberman. This study used the Extension of participation, Triangulation and Adequacy of references for the validity checking technique of the data.            The results showed that the instructional communication of the teacher in teaching children the da’i program was very adequate to foster and train students. It can be seen from the teacher’s expertise in lecturing and also from the ability of the teacher in teaching students so that the teacher gets the trust of the students. The teacher also applies visual and audio-visual media to facilitate the teaching and learning process. There are various methods used by the teacher in teaching and improving students abilities, including the lecture method, the command method, the training method, and the question and answer method. Then there are several types of obstacles. Obstacle in the communicator is the differences in memory and comprehension of each student. Obstacle to the channel is the absence of projector and speakers in the teaching and learning process, and obstacle to the communicant is they are not focus and causing the learning atmosphere to be disturbed. Abstract

The social media Instagram is a new media that is very popular with Indonesians. The Instagram @ Rachelvenya social media as an example of an account that is considered viral and is followed by millions of teenagers in Indonesia can influence the activities, interests, opinions and lifestyle of its users. Her followers often pay attention to Rachel Venya's fashion style, be it her personal clothes or her endors' clothes, and are always the center of attention. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Rachel Venya's endorsement on Instagram social media on her followers on women's clothing products using the Stimulus Response (S-R) theory as the basis.This type of research is explanative research with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire with a sample size of 100 respondents who were taken using the Slovin formula with random sampling techniques. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis, t test, F test and coefficient of determination with the help of SPSS version 24.The results of hypothesis testing in this study using multiple linear regression analysis showed the results of endorsment (X1) = (4,915), while the results of Social Media (X2) = (4.185) with T-table 100 = (1.984). It is known that X1> T-table (4,915> 1,984) while X2> T-table (4,185> 1,984), it can be concluded that each independent variable affects the dependent variable because t-count> t-table. Then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It is known that F count (43,721)> F table (3,06). This means that the independent variables (endorsment and social media) together have an effect on the dependent variable (purchasing power). Then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. From the results of this study also obtained r square of 0.474 which indicates that the variable purchasing power is affected by 47.4%, while the remaining 52.6% is influenced by other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

Student savings (SimPel) are savings intended for schoolchildren from Paud level to Junior High School level and bank bjb Pekanbaru branch focuses this program at the junior high school level (SMP) focusing on SMPN13 Pekanbaru. This program is implemented in collaboration with SMPN13. Bank bjb Pekanbaru branch chose SMPN13 because SMPN13 is a favorite school in Pekanbaru. Bank bjb Pekanbaru branch is a bank from the Java region that can stand even growing rapidly in the city of Pekabaru . Proven from the data obtained that in 2016 bank bjb Pekanbaru Branch recorded has increased the profit by 60% compared to achievements made in 2015. By Therefore, the writer decided to choose bank bjb as the object of research, because although bank bjb is a bank from Java area but this bank can grow rapidly and even have the above profit from this bank area that is Bank Riau and also have many achievement.This research uses qualitative method with descriptive approach, with research location at SMPN13 Pekanbaru and bank bjb Pekanbaru branch. Subject of research consist of 9 informant chosen by purposive and accidental technique. Data collection is done through observation, interview and documentation. To determine the falidity test of the author data using the method of extension of participation and trinagulasi.The results of this study indicate the credibility of the bank bjb Pekanbaru branch as a communicator, they have expertise (expertness) and trustworthiness (trust wortness). Dalan convey the message bank bjb Pekanbaru branch deliver verbal messages that include clarity, kelugasan and accuracy and nonverbal messages in the form of use of devices in the form of savings books and ATM SimPel. Bank bjb Pekanbaru uses personal channels in the form of direct, non-personal communication in the form of cooperation with the mass media. Pesuasif communication effect from bank bjb Pekanbaru branch to students of SMPN 13 Pekanbaru is an increase and understanding of saving on student self and action follow program of SimPel by bank bjb branch Pekanbaru.Key words : Bank, bjb, Persuasive

Abstract

Dalang Collection rubbish Bank is a rubbish recycling center in the city of Pekanbaru, it is useful to recycle therubbishbecomes some economical things and marketable so that it can help the communities’economy. The purpose of this research was to find out the communication innovation process of Dalang Collection rubbish bankin empowering communities through creativity treatment and determine the impact of innovation in the communications community empowerment through creativity in Rejosari kulim subdistrict pekanbaru.This study was a qualitative research method that emphasizes the descriptive approach. The subject of this studywere four informants who consisting of managers, employees, customers and RW were selected through purposive sampling technique. Technique authenticity of data in this study using the extension of participation, triangulation and the adequacy of triangulation.The results of this study show that first, the communication innovation process of Dalang Collection rubbish bank in empowering communities through creativity sewage treatment has three stages as disseminate to the public, to convey the message about the mechanisms of rubbish management, then monitoring and evaluation. Second, the impact of innovation in the communitis communications empowerment through creativity in the Rejosari kulim subdistrict pekanbaru which were consisted of social impact and economic impact. The conclusion of this study is Dalang Collection rubbish bank has been successfully utilized in disseminating the communication innovation to the public of Pekanbaru city, especially in Rejosari kulim subdistrict.

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility or corporate social responsibility is one of the obligations that must be undertaken by the company in accordance with the contents of article 74 of law number 40 of 2007 concerning limited liability company (UUPT). The Company is guided to exercise and grant community and environmental rights mandated by law in the company. CSR is the logical consequence of the state-funded human rights to the company to survive and develop within an environmental area. As a large company PT Arara Abadi conducts natural exploration in an environment, either directly or indirectly in contact with local ecosystems. It states that PT Arara Abadi must be responsible for all consequences that are deliberate or unintentional to the stakeholders. The purpose of this research is to know and analyze the implementation of community development program as social responsibility form of PT Arara Abadi Sorek district in Improving Community Welfare.The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The subjects were determined based on purposive techniques consisting of the head of the community development team of PT Arara Abadi Sorek District, the chairman of Mitra Abadi, and 3 members of Mitra Abadi institution. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use Miles and Huberman's interactive model. While the data validity checking technique includes triangulation and reference adequacy.The results of the study on the implementation of community development programs as a form of social responsibility of PT Arara Abadi in Improving Community Welfare concluded that it was quite good. PT Arara Abadi has done its social responsibility through a partnership program between the company and the community, especially local people. The partnership is realized in the Makmur Peduli Api Village program (DMPA) to assist in the improvement of the welfare of the long-term local community by providing production facilities to the community for 2 years the capital will beReturned to the company to be restored to other communities where the village of Lubuk Keranji Timur where the partnership program was conducted.
