Abstract

The evaluation of learning media in fine arts education is essential to ensure the achievement of students’ psychomotor learning outcomes, particularly at the elementary school level. However, systematic evaluation models that focus on skill-based learning remain limited in classroom practice. This study aims to examine and guide the evaluation of fine arts learning media for fourth-grade elementary school students using Scriven’s formative–summative evaluation model. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed to analyze the effectiveness of learning media in supporting students’ psychomotor development. Data were collected through observations, assessment instruments, and documentation of student performance, and were analyzed descriptively to capture learning progress and final outcomes. The results indicate that the formative–summative evaluation model consists of four key stages: needs assessment, program planning, formative evaluation, and summative evaluation. Formative evaluation provides continuous feedback during the learning process, while summative evaluation assesses students’ final performance and skill mastery. The findings demonstrate that this model enables teachers to systematically assess both learning processes and outcomes in fine arts instruction. This study contributes theoretically by strengthening the application of formative–summative evaluation in psychomotor learning and practically by offering a clear evaluation framework and assessment instruments that can assist teachers in improving fine arts learning media and student skill assessment.

Abstract

This study aims to present a current literature review on the role of unplugged activities in improving elementary school students' computational thinking skills. The study used a structured narrative review method for 10 key articles. Analysis was conducted by identifying and coding data from each article to generate key themes. The results of the analysis indicate that unplugged activities are effective in improving students' computational thinking skills based on the findings of quasi-experimental studies and meta-analyses. Unplugged activities also have a holistic impact, not only improving cognitive outcomes but also strengthening students' motivation and self-efficacy. Furthermore, the study highlights the unplugged-first model as an effective pedagogical practice, discusses the use of computational thinking assessment instruments such as TechCheck, and emphasizes the importance of teacher professional development and adaptation of unplugged activities in the context of artificial intelligence. This study provides practical implications for teachers, curriculum developers, and policymakers, particularly in the integration of unplugged activities and the balanced allocation of learning resources. Furthermore, this study proposes a future research agenda that includes longitudinal studies, instructional differentiation, cross-disciplinary transfer, ethical literacy in artificial intelligence, and the development of computational thinking learning models.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the “WECARE” Character Education Website as a digital innovation solution to improve the independent character of dyslexic students based on the characteristics of kinesthetic, visual learning styles, and psychological needs of students. The features are designed to support the formation of independent character according to the reference of student independence. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Alessi and Trollip development model consisting of three stages, namely planning, design, and development. The research subjects involved 25 dyslexic children phase D at MTs Al Hamid with consideration of the intensity of digital device use. The development was carried out using Google Sites software as the main cloud-based platform. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and expert validation questionnaires (media, materials, and inclusive education). Feasibility data were analyzed using expert validation. Effectiveness was obtained through the N-Gain score from the comparison of pre-test and post-test scores using 10 statement items. The results showed a feasibility level of 91.6% and an average N-Gain score of 0.706 with a medium to high category.
