Abstract

The outbreak of the covid-19 outbreak made religious affiliation and the practice of church organizations transition to present stewardship and herding ministry virtually. The enactment of Social and Psychological distancing as well as the temporary closure of houses of worship have opened new patterns in online interaction. This has become a phenomenon in the process of church communication on online media called the internet. It is undeniable that humans with any religious background are still sociological creatures. This is consistent with Martin Heidegger's term that humans as Dasein, where Dasein's behavior is active involvement with everyday objects. Like relationships with other people, objects, and with himself (reflective). The purpose of this paper is to find out the relevance of the Pastoral mandate in the current pandemic and is it effective in the future? This study is a critical analysis to try to understand the meaning of a situation or event from a holistic perspective.Abstrak: Merebaknya wabah covid-19 membuat afiliasi agama dan praktik organisasi gereja bertransisi untuk menyajikan penatalayanan serta pelayanan penggembalaan secara virtual. Pemberlakuan Social dan pshyscal distancing serta penutupan sementara rumah ibadah secara public telah membuka pola baru dalam interaksi secara daring. Hal ini telah menjadi fenomena tersendiri dalam proses komunikasi gereja pada media online yang disebut internet. Tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa manusia dengan latar belakang agama apapun masih menjadi makluk sosiologis. Hal ini sesuai dengan sebutan Martin Heidegger bahwa manusia sebagai Dasein, dimana perilaku Dasein adalah keterlibatan secara aktif dengan objek keseharian. Seperti hubungan dengan orang lain, benda, maupun dengan dirinya sendiri (reflektif). Tujuan dari paper ini adalah untuk menemukan relevansi amanat penggembalaan pada masa pandemic sekarang dan efektifkah secara berkelanjutan untuk waktu yang akan datang? Penelitian ini bersifat Analisis kritis untuk mencoba memahami pemaknaan situasi atau peristiwa dari sudut pandang yang utuh.

Abstract

In the History of Ancient leadership, the Old Testament is a collection of books containing narratives with the largest collection of leadership case studies ever written. The author observes the significance of biblical leadership found throughout scripture because it is rooted in the way God chose to work with mankind. However, the role of leadership is undeniably determining the welfare and glory of those they lead. In this study, the author tries to specifically examine Yusuf's leadership. A leadership pattern that is widely discussed because it is full of spiritual and moral dimensions. The purpose of this study is to provide a historical analysis of (1) Spirituality and morality in Yusuf's leadership. (2) Application of Joseph's Leadership Experience to the Church Today? The method used is descriptive analysis in the book of Genesis 37-50. The result of this research is that Yusuf's leadership can be a model as a good lesson not only for individuals in leadership positions but for all those who want to improve their character.AbstrakDalam Sejarah kepemimpinan Kuno, kitab Perjanjian Lama merupakan kumpulan kitab yang berisi narasi dengan berbagai kumpulan studi kasus kepemimpinan terbesar yang pernah ditulis. Penulis mengamati signifikansi kepemimpinan alkitabiah ditemukan di seluruh kitab suci karena berakar pada cara Allah memilih untuk bekerja dengan umat manusia. Bagaimanapun peranan kepemimpinan tidak terbantahkan menentukan perihal kesejahteraan maupun kejayaan mereka yang dipimpin. Dalam Penelitian ini penulis mencoba untuk mengkaji secara khusus kepemimpinan Yusuf. Suatu pola kepemimpinan yang banyak dibicarakan karena sarat akan dimensi spiritual dan moralnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memberikan analisis historis mengenai (1) Spiritualitas dan moralitas dalam kepemimpinan Yusuf. (2) Aplikasi dari Pengalaman Kepemimpinan Yusuf Bagi Gereja Di Masa Kini. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif pada kitab Kejadian 37-50. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kepemimpinan Yusuf menjadi model berharga sebagai pelajaran yang baik bukan hanya bagi individu dalam posisi kepemimpinan tetapi semua orang yang ingin meningkatkan karakter mereka.

Abstract

This paper is a theological affirmation of the concept of Christ's redemption in Pentecostal theology. This article aims to answer misconceptions about the concept and results of Christ's atoning work on the cross for believers. The method that the authors use to achieve the objectives in this study is to use a descriptive qualitative approach. Through the process of study and analysis, the writer concludes the following points: First, the redemptive work of Christ is a manifestation of God's grace to sinful humans. Second, Christ's death was the act of paying the penalty for human sin. Third, the terms used in redemption affirm that everyone is free from all the wrath of God. Fourth, Christ's redemptive work reconciles man to God, so that every believer has the assurance of eternal life.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of humility and exemplary of a leader based on John 13:4-5 on church growth in Batam. The respondents of this study were church members who had been active for more than one year. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. It used a quantitative method with primary data sources obtained directly by using a questionnaire. The results showed that partially the leader’s humility based on John 13:4-5 had a positive effect but not significant on church growth in Batam. Meanwhile, the exemplary of a leader based on John 13:4-5 had a positive and significant effect on church growth in Batam. Simultaneously, it was found that the humility and exemplary of a leader based on John 13:4-5 had a significant positive effect on church growth in Batam.

Abstract

Abstract: The integration of Christian values with technological advances in Christian leadership practice is a relevant challenge in today's digital era. This research aims to explore this combination and identify practical strategies and implications in the context of Christian leadership theory and practice. The research method used is literature analysis and qualitative data collection through literature study. The research results show that, although there is conflict between Christian values and technological advances, there are also opportunities to utilize technology as a tool for strengthening community and spiritual growth. The implications of this research are the need for further research on practical strategies for overcoming these conflicts, longitudinal studies to understand the development of Christian leadership practices in adopting new technology, as well as research on how transformative Christian leadership can influence spiritual and community growth in the long term. Thus, this research makes a significant contribution to the development of Christian leadership theory and practice in the digital era.     Keywords: Christianity, digital era, leadership, technology,  transformative.     Abstrak: Integrasi nilai-nilai Kristen dengan kemajuan teknologi dalam praktik kepemimpinan Kristen merupakan tantangan yang relevan di era digital saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi perpaduan tersebut dan mengidentifikasi strategi praktis serta implikasi dalam konteks teori dan praktik kepemimpinan Kristen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis literatur dan pengumpulan data kualitatif melalui studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, meskipun terdapat konflik antara nilai-nilai Kristen dan kemajuan teknologi, terdapat juga peluang untuk memanfaatkan teknologi sebagai alat untuk memperkuat komunitas dan pertumbuhan rohani. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah perlunya penelitian lebih lanjut tentang strategi praktis untuk mengatasi konflik tersebut, studi longitudinal untuk memahami perkembangan praktik kepemimpinan Kristen dalam mengadopsi teknologi baru, serta penelitian tentang bagaimana kepemimpinan Kristen yang transformatif dapat memengaruhi pertumbuhan rohani dan komunitas dalam jangka panjang. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan bagi pengembangan teori dan praktik kepemimpinan Kristen di era digital.   Kata Kunci: era digital, kepemimpinan, kristen, teknologi, transformatif.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan penyuluhan moderasi beragama bagi warga binaan Lapas perempuan di Batam. Latar belakangnya adalah kurangnya pemahaman dan penerapan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama di lingkungan lapas, yang dapat mengakibatkan ketegangan antar warga binaan dan mempersulit proses rehabilitasi. Melalui penyuluhan yang diselenggarakan, tujuannya adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan penerapan moderasi beragama, sehingga menciptakan lingkungan lapas yang lebih harmonis dan inklusif. Hasil dan pembahasan menyoroti definisi dan prinsip-prinsip moderasi beragama menurut Kementrian Agama Republik Indonesia, serta seacara khusus penerapannya di Lapas khusus perempuan. Ditemukan bahwa penerapan moderasi beragama memiliki dampak positif dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih aman dan memperbaiki kesejahteraan spiritual narapidana. Namun, tantangan dalam implementasi juga perlu diatasi, termasuk pengawasan yang lebih intensif. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi yang berharga dalam memperbaiki kondisi kehidupan narapidana dan membangun masyarakat yang lebih inklusif dan harmonis

Abstrak: Keterlibatan agama dalam politik telah menjadi topik yang semakin relevan di tengah dinamika politik kontemporer. Dalam konteks ini, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami peran keterlibatan Kristen dalam transformasi politik saat ini. Latar belakangnya terkait dengan pergeseran pandangan terhadap agama dalam politik dan kompleksitas isu-isu politik global yang terus berkembang. Permasalahan yang muncul adalah bagaimana keterlibatan Kristen memengaruhi pembentukan kebijakan publik, serta tanggapan mereka terhadap tantangan-tantangan politik kontemporer. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi pola perilaku politik Kristen, dampaknya dalam dinamika politik sosial, dan implikasinya terhadap stabilitas demokrasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang kompleksitas keterlibatan umat Kristen dalam politik serta menawarkan wawasan tentang langkah-langkah yang dapat diambil untuk memperkuat kontribusi positifnya dalam membangun masyarakat yang inklusif dan demokratis.

Abstract

Contemporary churches exist in a transitional phase marked by paradigmatic shifts, digital disruption, and institutional trust crises. This condition demands a reconstruction of Christian leadership models capable of functioning in transformative ways amid ambiguity. This article constructs the concept of "liminal capacity" as a leadership competency framework that integrates Victor Turner's insights from ritual anthropology with biblical theology on wilderness experiences and eschatological existence. Through a qualitative approach employing a constructive-integrative literature review, this research identifies four dimensions of liminal capacity: the theological foundation of liminality, kenotic-apophatic spirituality, pastoral phronesis, and communal habitus formation. Findings demonstrate that liminal leadership is not merely an adaptive strategy but an authentic expression of Christian spirituality rooted in biblical traditions of God's people being formed through threshold experiences.   Abstrak Gereja kontemporer berada dalam fase transisional yang ditandai oleh pergeseran paradigmatik, disrupsi digital, dan krisis kepercayaan institusional. Kondisi ini menuntut rekonstruksi model kepemimpinan Kristen yang mampu berfungsi secara transformatif dalam situasi ambiguitas. Artikel ini mengonstruksi konsep "kapasitas liminal" sebagai ke-rangka kompetensi kepemimpinan yang mengintegrasikan wawasan antropologi ritual Victor Turner dengan teologi biblis tentang pengalaman padang gurun dan eksistensi eskatologis. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka konstruktif-integratif, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi empat dimensi kapasitas liminal: fondasi teologis liminalitas, spiritualitas kenotik-apofatik, phronesis pastoral, dan formasi habitus komunal. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan liminal bukan sekadar strategi adaptif, melainkan ekspresi autentik dari spiritualitas Kristen yang berakar pada tradisi biblis tentang pembentukan umat Allah melalui pengalaman ambang.

Abstract

The increasing number of suicides among young people is a serious concern that requires the involvement of various parties, especially the family as the closest environment. This phenomenon is triggered by the pressures of life, identity crises, loneliness, and lack of mental resilience in facing the challenges of the times. This study aims to examine the role of Christian religious education in the family as an effective shield for young people in facing the increasing cases of suicide. Spiritual education in Christian families is expected to be able to form a strong character, give meaning to life, and build emotional closeness that can withstand destructive urges. The importance of this study lies in efforts to save the younger generation from the threat of an existential crisis by re-emphasizing the role of the family in instilling Christian values in a real and consistent manner. The benefits of this study are expected to be a practical guide for parents, church leaders, and educators in creating a safe, loving, and spiritually constructive environment. The method used is qualitative with an in-depth literature study approach to Christian families, young people, and relevant church figures. The results of the study show that families who apply the principles of Christian religious education in their daily lives tend to have better spiritual and emotional resilience, and cope with the pressures of life without losing meaning and hope. Thus, Christian religious education in the family has been proven to have a vital role in protecting the younger generation from the increasingly rampant acts of suicide.

Abstract

The church has a very important role in the formation of early childhood faith, which is the foundation for their spiritual life. This study aims to examine how the church environment can function as a main pillar in the formation of early childhood faith from a theological and practical perspective. This study will examine the theological aspects that underlie children's faith education and how the church can implement practical strategies to create a positive environment and support their spiritual development. The research method used is a qualitative approach with analysis of theological literature. The results of the study show that the church has a great responsibility in introducing children to the Christian faith and providing them with an environment that supports spiritual formation. The church and family complement each other in forming children's character and faith, where the active involvement of both is essential. Keywords: spiritual formation; children's faith; Christian education; theology Abstrak  Gereja memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam pembentukan iman anak usia dini, yang merupakan fondasi untuk kehidupan spiritual mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana lingkungan gereja dapat berfungsi sebagai pilar utama dalam pembentukan iman anak usia dini dari perspektif teologis dan praktis. Penelitian ini akan mengupas aspek-aspek teologis yang mendasari pendidikan iman anak-anak dan bagaimana gereja dapat mengimplementasikan strategi praktis untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang positif dan mendukung perkembangan spiritual mereka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis literatur teologis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gereja memiliki tanggung jawab besar dalam memperkenalkan anak-anak pada iman Kristen dan memberikan mereka lingkungan yang mendukung pembentukan spiritual. Gereja dan keluarga saling melengkapi dalam membentuk karakter dan iman anak, di mana keterlibatan aktif keduanya sangat diperlukan.
