Abstract

Primary school children are included in the vulnerable group because they are still in a growth and development phase. In Indonesia, many accidents involve children due to their lack of knowledge, excessive energy, and high curiosity. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the application of safety values in formal education material, in order to evaluate how adequate the current teaching materials in encouraging children to practice safety culture.Petompon 2, one of the primary school used in this study, showed that 60% subjects in grade 1 contain application of safety values, and subjects from grade 2 to 6 showed that 14.3%, 90%, 100%, 87.5%, and 50% subjects, consecutively, already contain safety education. The solutions offered are improving teacher’s capacity in learning process and integrating the safety values into education subjects, such as: in sport education, natural science, social science, citizenship education, Islamic religion, mathematics, and Indonesian language. Other methods available are integrating safety values into extracurricular activities and introducing educative game on safety values to primary school students.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of uchikomi movement exercise using kettler rubber to improve male judoka's physical abilities. This study uses an experimental method. A total of 22 male judoka participated as study samples and were randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group (21.8±1.78 years, 1.70±0.06 m, 71.1±13.5 kg) and control group (21.4±2.30 years, 1.72±0.05 m, 67.4±7.76 kg). The exercise program was carried out for 8 weeks with a frequency of 3 times/week. After warming up and before core judo training, the experimental group was treated with uchikomi movement training using kettler rubber. Meanwhile, the control group continued regular judo training. The statistical analysis procedure used an ANOVA test to determine the difference and comparison of pre-test and post-test mean values in experimental and control groups with a significance level (p<0.05). The results showed that parameter difference in the average value of experimental and control groups was significant on the performance of leg power and VO2Max endurance. In comparison, no significant differences occur in handgrip strength, flexibility, and speed. This study concludes that uchikomi seoi-nage movement exercise using a Kettler rubber produces changes in the performance of judoka physical abilities. However, a significant difference occurred in the performance of leg power and VO2Max endurance

This experimental research uses randomized controlled group pretest and posttest design. The tests were bleep or MFT test to measure the maximum aerobic capacity (VO2 Max) and RAST test to measure the anaerobic endurance. The conclusion of this research is hyperbaric with 1.5 ATA and 2.4 ATA significantly influenced the maximum aerobic capacity improvement (VO2 Max) and anaerobic endurance. Hyperbaric oxygen with 1.5 and 2.4 ATA did not have any differences in improving the maximum aerobic capacity (VO2 Max) and the anaerobic endurance.

Abstract

Badminton Movement Training is a compulsory subject that each scholar in the faculty of Sport Science, Sport Trainer Education, and Physical Health and Recreation Education at FIK UNNES Semarang must pass. The basic techniques in badminton movements training includes the technique of holding rackets, behavior and position, forehand stroke, backhand stroke, smash preparation, and stroke variation. Badminton is full of complex abilities and skills. Therefore, it is important to a badminton player to have best physical performance, and this can be gained only through a well and continuous programmed physical training so that the badminton player can have his or her best physical performance. This will give positive effect to his or her mental and psychic condition, and eventually affects to the performance of his or her playing technique directly. Training will affect both nervous and muscles system. To the nervous system, the effect of the training is to repair and to develop the structure and the function of synapses so their physiology grows better. Training movement pattern will also be recorded in the brain nervous system as motor-engram. The motor-engram will control muscles’ activities, especially those which need high skill. Motor engram can be increased by repeated training and can be decreased at the retirement from an exercise.

Pembagian kelompok menggunakan pola matching by subject (M-S). Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of applying intensity so that exercise has high effectiveness on agility. This study aims to partially determine the effectiveness of exercise intensity on the agility of badminton players and the difference between the two. This research is an experimental study using two groups of samples obtained by matching subject designs. The population and samples used were 12 badminton athletes in the Under-13 male group. One group received moderate-intensity exercise, and the other group received low-intensity exercise. The distribution of exercise intensity was done randomly. After 16 exercises, the two sample groups were tested for agility. The research revealed that the data prerequisite test was not met, so a non-parametric quadratic model was carried out. The results of non-parametric data show that exercise using moderate intensity on the agility of U-13 badminton players has an effectiveness of 92.40%, and exercise using low intensity on the agility of U-13 badminton players has an effectiveness of 90.70%. The difference in the effectiveness of low and moderate-intensity training on the agility of Under-13 badminton players is 1.70%. An important finding in this study is that it is better to practice using moderate intensity to improve the agility of the men's Under-13 badminton players.
