Abstract

Permasalahan siswa belum terampil menulis teks anekdot. Serta kurangnya model dan media pembelajaran yang menarik, sehingga membuat siswa kesulitan dalam memahami dan menulis teks anekdot. Kurangnya minat siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis teks anekdot, hal ini disebabkan karena siswa merasa bosan dengan pembelajaran menulis teks anekdot, siswa juga masih sulit mengemukakan gagasan atau ide-ide ke dalam bentuk tulisan. Penelitian ini betujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan. model problem-based instruction berbantuan audio visual terhadap keterampilan menulis teks teks anekdot siswa kelas X SMA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran eksperimen. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA yang berjumlah 26 orang. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah skor keterampilan menulis teks anekdot sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model problem-based instruction berbantuan audio visual siswa kelas X SMA. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat efektivitas penggunaan model problem-based instruction berbantuan audio visual terhadap keterampilan menulis teks anekdot siswa kelas X SMA karena thitunglebih dari ttabel (2,71 lebih dari 1,71). Simpulan menunjukkan penggunaan model Problem Based Instruction Berbantuan Audio Visual efektif digunakan keterampilan menulis teks anekdot siswa kelas X SMA. Implikasi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa.

Abstract

Practical activities are carried out to prove a concept being studied. Practical activities following 21st-century learning are a form of learning change, initially centered on educators to become student-centered. Learning tools that are designed and planned according to students' needs certainly create interest so that they can build a productive learning environment. This study aimed to see the student's needs for developing learning tools based on interviews and questionnaires distributed to students who took Praktik Jurnalistik media Televisi course. This type of research was Research and Development (R&D). This research was the initial stage of developing learning tools in Praktik Jurnalistik media Televisi course. The needs analysis results obtained data of 46% stating that learning Praktik Jurnalistik media Televisi can improve speaking skills. 39% of students stated that the journalistic practice module requires development; consequently, the journalistic activities' steps and work processes were structured. 37% of students read and used the module as a guide in journalism practice lectures. Furthermore, 42% of students stated the suitability of the activities of 16 meetings with the learning tools and course syllabus.

Abstract

enelitian ini betujuan untuk mendeksripsikan keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi sebelum dan sesuadah menggunakan model Open Ended Problem siswa kelas XI SMAN 9 Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan model eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini adalah one group pretest-postest desain. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas SMAN 9 Padang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMAN 9 Padang berjumlah 31 orang. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah skor keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi sebelum dan sesuadah menggunakan model Open Ended Problem siswa kelas XI SMAN 9 Padang. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut ini. Pertama, tingkat keterampilan menulis teks Eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMA N 9 Padang sebelum menggunakan model Open Ended Problem memperoleh nilai rata-rata 57,85 dengan klasifikasi 56-65% yaitu Cukup (C). Kedua, tingkat keterampilan menulis teks Eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMA N 9 Padang sesudah menggunakan model Open Ended Problem memperoleh nilai rata-rata 73,76 dengan klasifikasi 66-75% yaitu Lebih dari Cukup (LdC). Ketiga, berdasarkan hasil uji-t disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model Open Ended Problem terhadap keterampilan menulis teks Eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMA N 9 Padang karena 7,88>1,66 Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan menulis teks Eksplanasi siswa kelas XI SMA N 9 Padang sesudah menggunakan model Open Ended Problem lebih baik dibandingkan dengan sebelum menggunakan model Open Ended Problem. Penggunaan model Open ended problem terbukti dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa, hal ini terlihat dari antusias siswa selama mengikuti proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model sehingga berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan siswa dalam menulis teks eksplanasi.

Abstract

he purpose of this study was to describe the relationship between critical reading ability and the ability to write expository texts for class X students of SMA N 3 Solok Selatan. This type of research is quantitative research using correlational methods. The sampling technique for this research was purposive sampling technique. Sampling is done based on the class that has the lowest standard deviation. The research sample is one class, namely class X-2, totaling 32 people. Research instruments in the form of questionnaires and performance tests. The questionnaire was used to collect students' critical reading scores while the performance test was used to collect exposition text writing skills scores. Based on the research results, the following conclusions can be drawn: First, the critical reading ability of class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Solok Selatan obtained an average score of 75.84 in the range of 76-85% on a scale of 10, with a Good qualification (B). Second, the ability to write expository texts for class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Solok Selatan obtained an average score of 78.33 in the range of 76-85% on a scale of 10, with a Good qualification (B). Third, there is a significant relationship between vocabulary mastery and the ability to write exposition texts of class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Solok Selatan. This shows that critical reading skills affect students in writing expository texts. This can be seen from the test results which prove that tcount > from ttable, namely 4,86 > 1.70.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe how grammatical cohesion is used in the news about the Ferdy Sambo case and to reveal the meaning of the news through the use of grammatical cohesion. This research is qualitative and uses the content analysis method. The data used are sentences containing grammatical cohesion in the news of the Ferdy Sambo case from the online news site detik.com. Based on the analysis of data from detik.com between July 2022 and March 2023, it was found that the grammatical cohesion that is often used is reference, substitution, ellipsis, and conjunction. Conjunction is the most widely used type of cohesion, while ellipsis is the least frequent. However, all these types of grammatical cohesion play an important role in maintaining the continuity of the news and helping readers understand what the writer is saying. In addition, these four types of grammatical cohesion help explain the chronology of the shootout that resulted in Brigadier Yoshua's death. The news also explained the role of Ferdy Sambo and the investigating team in uncovering the truth that Ferdy Sambo was the brain behind the murder.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model AIR (Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition) terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas X SMA N 1 Koto Salak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan model eksperimental. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 28 siswa kelas X SMA N 1 Koto Salak. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah skor keterampilan menulis puisi sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model AIR (Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition) siswa kelas X SMA N 1 Koto Salak Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari hasil analisis diperoleh hasil thitung>ttabel (5,94>1,70). Dengan kata lain, terdapat efektivitas penggunaan model AIR (Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition) terhadap keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas X SMA N 1 Koto Salak.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability to write biographical texts without, with, and how the effect of using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning strategies on the ability to write biographical texts in class X SMA N 2 Lintau Buo. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The results of the study are described as follows. First, the students' biographical text writing skills before using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) strategy of class X students of SMA N 2 Lintau Buo with an average of 57.47. Second, students' biographical text writing skills after using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) strategy of class X students of SMA N 2 Lintau Buo with an average of 70.97. Third, the skill of writing biographical texts using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning strategies in learning is better than before using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning strategies. Fourth, there is a significant effect of the use of learning strategies on the skills of writing biographical texts for X grade students of SMA N 2 Lintau Buo because tcount > t table (4.32 > 1.67), so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that there is an effect of using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning strategies on the ability to write biographical texts for X grade students of SMA N 2 Lintau Buo. So, it can be seen that there is a significant effect between the use of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) strategies on learning the skills of writing biographical texts for the tenth graders of SMAN 2 Lintau Buo.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the comparison of using Treffinger model to rewrite anecdotal and short story folklore texts for class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Padang. The type of the research is quantitative research with experimental method. The population of this research are 255 students of class X of SMA Negeri 6 Padang 2022/2023 academic year. Sample of the research was taken by using simple random sampling technique. The instrument of the research was writing test of anecdotal and short story folklore text. After treating the sample classes by using Treffinger model, X IPA 2 and X IPS 4 was tested to write anecdotal text, X IPA 1 and X IPS 3 was treated to write short story folklore text. The results of the research were as follows; first, students’ average score in writing short story folklore text who taught by using the Treffinger model were of 82.67 with good category (range of 76% -85%). Second, students' average score in writing anecdotal text by using Treffinger model were 75.50 with more than adequate category (range of 66%-75%). Third, there is a significant comparison between students’ ability to rewrite anecdotal texts and short story folklore text by using Treffinger model at class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Padang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan citra Perempuan dalam Novel Jemput Terbawa Karya Pinto Anugrah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah Novel Jemput Terbawa Karya Pinto Anugrah. Data yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini berupa monolog dan dialog yang mendukung aspek citra diri Perempuan dan citra sosial Perempuan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu dengan analisis teks dalam novel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa citra diri perempuan dan citra sosial perempuan terhadap tokoh perempuan. Citra diri Perempuan dikelompokkan menjadi dua bagian yaitu citra dalam aspek fisik dan citra dalam aspek psikis terlihat pada tokoh Nurselah dan Laya yang mendeskripsikan sebagai seorang perempuan yaitu mandiri, cerdas, dan berkepribadian kuat, berusaha menyeimbangkan tradisi dan modernitas dalam konteks masyarakat Minangkabau, dan citra sosial perempuan juga terbagi dua yaitu: citra perempuan dalam keluarga dan citra perempuan dalam masyarakat menyoroti kekuatan batin, kemandirian, serta peran Perempuan sebagai istri, ibu dan anak dalam keluarga dan masyarakat.
