Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Cerpen Berdasarkan Nilai Dalam Hikayat Siswa Kelas X SMAN 1 X Koto Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini adalah Posttest Only Control Design. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut ini. Pertama, kemampuan menulis cerpen berdasarkan nilai dalam hikayat siswa kelas X SMAN 1 X Koto Kabupaten Tanah Datar tanpa menggunakan model Cooperative Integrated reading and composition (CIRC) memperoleh nilai 79,17 berada pada rentangan 76-85% dengan kualifikasi lebih dari baik. Kedua, kemampuan menulis cerpen berdasarkan nilai dalam hikayat siswa kelas x SMAN 1 X Koto Kabupaten Tanah datar dengan menggunakan model CIRC memperoleh nilai 84,17 berada pada rentangan 76-85% dengan kualifikasi baik. Ketiga, berdasarkan uji-t terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model CIRC terhadap kemampuan menulis cerpen berdasarkan nilai dalam hikayat siswa kelas X SMAN 1 X Koto Kabupaten Tanah Datar karena karena thitung > ttabel yaitu (5,21 >1,68), maka H0 ditolak H1 diterima. Dengan demikian penggunaan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis cerpen berdasarkan nilai dalam hikayat siswa kelas X SMAN 1 X Koto Kabupaten Tanah Datar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis lirik lagu "Diri" dari album Tulus. Tulus, seorang musisi Indonesia terkenal, tidak hanya menciptakan lagu untuk hiburan, tetapi juga menyampaikan pesan-pesan motivasi melalui karya karyanya. Lagu terbarunya pada 2022, "Diri," mengandung makna yang mendalam mengenai penerimaan diri sendiri. Komunikasi Tulus disampaikan melalui lirik lagu, yang membuat karyanya terus diminati oleh masyarakat. Makna asosiatif dalam lirik lagu seringkali berbeda dari makna sebenarnya, namun tetap memiliki kaitan dengan makna yang lebih dalam. Penelitian ini makna asosiatif yang di dapatkan pada keseluruhan lirik lagu tersebut, pesan yang disampaikan adalah tentang perjalanan pribadi untuk mencapai kedamaian batin. Mulai dari berdamai dan mengampuni diri sendiri, berbicara dengan diri sendiri secara positif, hingga memahami dan menghargai diri, lirik ini menyoroti pentingnya pertumbuhan pribadi dan kesembuhan emosional. Pesan tersebut juga mengajak pendengar untuk menjauhi rasa sakit, bersikap bijak dalam mendengarkan dan memahami batasan diri, serta merayakan kehidupan yang cukup bermakna.

Abstract

Practical activities are carried out to prove a concept being studied. Practical activities following 21st-century learning are a form of learning change, initially centered on educators to become student-centered. Learning tools that are designed and planned according to students' needs certainly create interest so that they can build a productive learning environment. This study aimed to see the student's needs for developing learning tools based on interviews and questionnaires distributed to students who took Praktik Jurnalistik media Televisi course. This type of research was Research and Development (R&D). This research was the initial stage of developing learning tools in Praktik Jurnalistik media Televisi course. The needs analysis results obtained data of 46% stating that learning Praktik Jurnalistik media Televisi can improve speaking skills. 39% of students stated that the journalistic practice module requires development; consequently, the journalistic activities' steps and work processes were structured. 37% of students read and used the module as a guide in journalism practice lectures. Furthermore, 42% of students stated the suitability of the activities of 16 meetings with the learning tools and course syllabus.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the videos uploaded on Andre Taulany's youtube which tend to have the language of someone who has a narcissistic tendency. so that it can be seen from the expressiveness of the language. This research will be discussed in a psychopragmatic study. This approach is deliberately used to examine expressive speech acts that are motivated by a person's psychology and psychological factors such as one's desire, willingness and desire to get something. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research. The data in this study are the words conveyed by Andre Taulany in the video on his youtube account based on the number of views and comments. Data were collected by using listening and note-taking techniques. Data analysis using the matching method and the agih method. speech acts that convey the contents of Andre's thoughts or feelings that are expressed or shown through his expressive language. The utterances that Andre expressed through his expressive language lead to the characteristics of someone who has narcissistic tendencies.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the large number of facebook users who express their discomfort with body shape and after further review, the discomfort expressed is included in the characteristics of people who have a tendency to anorexia nervosa. This study was conducted to describe the linguistic tendency of anorexia nervosa on facebook social media users, especially on the "MinuteVideos Indonesia" account based on the characteristics of anorexia nervosa tendencies seen from the form and meaning of the language conveyed. This type of research is a qualitative research using descriptive method. The data of this study is the linguistic expressiveness of facebook users who have anorexia nervosa tendencies in comments on the "MinuteVideos Indonesia" account. Data were collected using the free-of-charge listening technique (SBLC) and note-taking techniques. The data were analyzed using the matching method and the agih method. Based on the results of the study found thirteen types of expressive speech acts used by Facebook users who have anorexia nervosa tendencies in comments on the "MinuteVideos Indonesia" account and each of these utterances has a referential meaning. The tendency of anorexia nervosa is dominantly experienced by women. However, from the data obtained there are also men who experience anorexia nervosa tendencies.

Abstract

This community service aims to help students become skilled at writing negotiation texts. This activity was carried out at UNP Laboratory Development High School. The implementation of learning to write negotiation texts in Community Service applies learning with a differentiated approach. Efforts are made to implement differentiated learning by paying attention to learning activities that can accommodate students according to their needs and learning styles. The method used in Community Service is a learning method with the application of differentiated learning. Learning differentiates learning pressure according to students' learning styles, namely visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. The results of the service implementation show that students in the auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learning groups can follow the learning process well. Negotiation text learning activities became interesting, students were actively involved, and the results of students' negotiation text writing skills showed an average score of 84 at a mastery level of 76-85% in the Good category.

Abstract

This study explores how international students perceive Indonesian culture while participating in the Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) program at Padang State University. Framed within Cross-Cultural Understanding (CCU), the study investigates how students’ cultural backgrounds, prior experiences, and exposure to cultural content in language teaching shape their engagement and motivation. Using a descriptive qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation. The findings show that most students positively perceive Indonesian culture, particularly appreciating traditions, hospitality, and food. However, challenges arise with abstract cultural values, such as indirect communication, hierarchical relationships, and concepts of politeness, which sometimes contrast with students' native cultural norms. Students from Southeast Asian countries reported smoother cultural adjustment than those from Western countries. Furthermore, students favored experiential learning—such as field trips, cooking classes, and cultural performances—over theoretical cultural instruction. These insights reinforce the importance of integrating cultural content into language instruction but also highlight the need for culturally responsive pedagogy that considers learners’ diverse cultural frameworks. The study suggests incorporating CCU models (e.g., Byram's ICC Bennett's DMIS) to support intercultural reflection, identity development, and deeper engagement. Future research should explore the longitudinal impacts of cultural learning and implement structured tools to evaluate intercultural competence development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya memahami tingkat kesadaran metakognitif siswa dalam menginterpretasikan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam teks hikayat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kesadaran metakognitif siswa dalam memahami nilai-nilai tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, yang melibatkan siswa kelas X Fase E di SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang sebagai subjek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran angket kesadaran metakognitif, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesadaran metakognitif siswa dalam memahami nilai-nilai teks hikayat tergolong sangat baik. Tingginya tingkat kesadaran metakognitif ini turut mendukung terciptanya proses pembelajaran yang efektif dan kondusif di kelas, karena siswa mampu berpikir reflektif serta mengembangkan strategi belajar yang sesuai, sehingga proses pembelajaran berlangsung tanpa hambatan yang berarti. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, disarankan agar pendidik terus mendorong pengembangan kemampuan metakognitif siswa melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada refleksi dan kemandirian belajar.
