Abstract

Tanaman, termasuk Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA), tumbuh subur di kebun maupun halaman rumah, namun sering kali kurang mendapat perhatian padahal memiliki beragam manfaat dan fungsi yang dapat dikembangkan serta dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Tanaman berkhasiat ini dapat digunakan untuk pertolongan pertama atau obat-obatan ringan seperti demam dan batuk selain itu juga dapat diolah menjadi sebuah makanan yang kaya akan manfaat dan nutrisi. Tema dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah Pemberdayaan Masyarakat “Pemanfaatan TOGA pada Masyarakat RT 17 RW 03 Desa Bangah Kecamatan Gedangan Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kreativitas warga dalam pemanfaatan tanaman TOGA yang dikelola menjadi beberapa produk. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, olahan makanan dari TOGA yang dibuat oleh Ibu-Ibu sangat cocok untuk generasi muda yang tidak suka sayur-sayuran karena makanan yang dibuat oleh Ibu-ibu seperti nuget, stik, dan sebagainya. Jadi anak-anak dapat tertarik dengan olahan TOGA tersebut. Plants, including Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA), thrive in gardens and yards, but often receive little attention even though they have various benefits and functions that can be developed and utilised optimally. These efficacious plants can be used for first aid or mild medicines such as fever and cough; besides, they can also be processed into foods that are rich in benefits and nutrients. The theme of this community service activity is Community Empowerment "Utilisation of TOGA in the Community of RT 17 RW 03 Bangah Village, Gedangan District, Sidoarjo Regency. The purpose of this activity is to increase the creativity of residents in utilising TOGA plants, which are processed into several products. From the results of the research conducted, processed foods from TOGA made by mothers are very suitable for the younger generation who do not like vegetables, because the foods made by mothers, such as nuggets, sticks, and so on. So, children can be interested in these TOGA preparations.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning achievement as an effort to achieve competency through the development of learning media in social science material at MINU KH. Mukmin Sidoarjo in grade V and aims to design and develop Panasia (Map of Flora and Fauna in Indonesia) learning media in social science material for grade V at MINU KH. Mukmin Sidoarjo. The type of this research is development research in the form of a 4-D model which is carried out through 4 stages, namely defining, designing, developing and disseminating, but the researcher did not reach the fourth stage because there is no distribution, but it is implemented in a school. The object of this research is grade V students in social science material with the aim of optimizing learning for teachers and students at MINU KH. Mukmin Sidoarjo. The results of this research show that Panasia learning media has a very big influence on the student learning process as seen from the validation results of media experts and material experts. Media expert validation was 84% ​​and material expert validation was 91%, as well as the product trials carried out by researcher at schools from the teacher response questionnaire results was 84% ​​and students response questionnaire results were 86.6%. The results of this research show that Panasia learning media is very suitable for use in supporting the learning system in schools in order to make it will be better.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan peserta didik kelas III Sekolah Dasar dalam memahami materi Hak dan Kewajiban. Peserta didik belum bisa membedakan konsep antara Hak dan Kewajiban. Permasalahan ini ditemukan selama observasi dan wawancara di Sekolah Dasar Ketegan Tanggulangin Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan media, kelayakan dan respon peserta didik tentang pengembangan media Ludo berbantuan model Numbered Head Together (NHT) pada muatan PKn materi hak dan kewajiban untuk peserta didik kelas III sekolah dasar. Penggunaan media dalam proses pembelajaran menggunakan metode belajar sambil bermain. Pembuatan media permainan didasarkan anak seusia sekolah dasar kelas III memiliki karakteristik senang bermain, belajar sambil bermain dan senang bergerak dan menyanyi. Jenis penelitian yang dipakai dalam media ini adalah pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D). Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap yaitu: analyze (analisis), design (desain), development (pengembangan), implementation (implementasi) dan evaluation (evaluasi). Teknik pengumpulan data yang akan dilakukan yaitu pengumpulan data berupa angket dan lembar validasi. Angket akan diberikan kepada peserta didik dan guru kelas untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai media pembelajaran Ludo sedangkan lembar validasi akan diberikan kepada validator ahli materi dan ahli media untuk mendapatkan kevalidan suatu produk yang akan ditujukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validasi ahli materi mendapat jumlah skor 50 dengan persentase 83,3% yang termasuk kategori “valid”. Sedangkan hasil validasi ahli media mendapat skor 38 dengan persentase 84,4% yang termasuk kategori “valid”. Hasil respon guru dan respon peserta didik mendapat tingkat validitas “sangat baik” dengan persentase respon guru 87,5% dan respon peserta didik 95,3%. Dengan demikian media pembelajaran Ludo dinyatakan layak digunakan delam pembelajaran PKn.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media big book terhadap keterampilan membaca peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas IV SD Plus Cahaya Budaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif, penelitian ini menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen (Kelas IV) bisa disebut metode penelitian pre-experimental design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes berupa pretest dan posttest, dan analisis data menggunakan uji t teknik independent sample t-test dengan taraf signifikansi 5%mengggunakan program SPSS 16 for windows. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan terhadap hasil belajar siswa sebelum diberikannya treatment dan setelah diterapkannya tretment media big book dengan peningkatan rata-rata 91,894. Hal tersebut di ketahui melalui output test statistic uji paired T-TEST (2 tailed) yang menunjukkan signifikansi (2. tailed) 0.000 < 0.05 dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa media big book berpengaruh dalam keterampilan membaca peserta didik kelas IV SD Plus Cahaya Budaya. This research aims to determine the effect of big book media on students' reading skills in the Indonesian language subject for fourth-grade students at SD Plus Cahaya Budaya. This research uses quantitative research, using one experimental class (Class IV), which can be called a pre-experimental design research method. The data collection technique uses tests in the form of a pretest and posttest, and data analysis uses the independent sample t-test technique with a significance level of 5% using the SPSS 16 for Windows program. This research showed a difference in student learning outcomes before and after the big book media treatment was implemented, with an average increase of 91.894. This is known through the output of the paired T-TEST statistical test (2-tailed), which shows a significance (2. tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, and it can be concluded that big book media affects the reading skills of fourth-grade students of SD Plus Cahaya Budaya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the make a match learning model for understanding the concept of natural resources material for fourth grade students of SDN Tanggul Wonoayu. This research is included in quantitative research. This quantitative research uses a pre-experimental design that uses the One Group pretest-posttest design method. The results of data analysis using the help of SPSS software 26 for windows. The results of pretest and posttest data processing calculated using SPSS show a 2-tailed sig value of 0.260 and 0.053. The significance results show more than 0.05. This means that the data is normally distributed. Therefore, the hypothesis test used is the paired sample t-test. The results of the paired sample t-test test obtained a significance value of 0.000 (0.000<0.005) then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that the hypothesis states that there is an effect on understanding the concept of natural resources material between before and after being given the make a match learning model. The N-Gain test obtained a value of 56.9085 with a fairly effective category. It can be concluded that the influence of the make a match learning model for understanding concepts can improve the understanding of class IV students at SDN Tanggul

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the representation of science process skills in science learning tools from a neuropsychological perspective uses tools that are valid, practical, and also effective in training science process skills which will later produce an image or representation of science process skills. This study uses three stages of the 4-D model, with the stages of definition, design, and development. This research is only limited to development. The representation of the learning device was tested in the fifth grade of elementary school with a one group pretest-posttest design. The results showed that the representation of science process skills was interesting and easy to understand. By showing learning practicality data, device validity data, and also device effectiveness data in representing science process skills. Assisted by a very positive student response, it shows that the neuropsychology of students looks good. Overall, the representation of science process skills using this learning tool can help students process thinking more logically, and balance behavior better.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila materi hak dan kewajiban melalui penggunaan media interaktif PowerPoint di kelas III SDN Gelam 1 Candi. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi, dengan melibatkan 10 peserta didik sebagai subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada tiga aspek utama. Aktivitas guru meningkat dari 50,32% pada siklus I menjadi 88,67% pada siklus II. Aktivitas peserta didik juga mengalami peningkatan dari 45,57% menjadi 86,29%. Selain itu, ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik meningkat dari 54,69% pada siklus I menjadi 86,51% pada siklus II, yang berarti telah melampaui indikator keberhasilan klasikal yaitu 80%. Secara keseluruhan, temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa media interaktif powerpoint efektif dalam meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar peserta didik. This classroom action research aims to improve the activeness and learning outcomes of students in the Pancasila Education subject of rights and obligations through the use of interactive PowerPoint media in class III of SDN Gelam 1 Candi. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages, involving 10 students as research subjects. The results showed a significant increase in three main aspects. Teacher activity increased from 50.32% in cycle I to 88.67% in cycle II. Student activity also increased from 45.57% to 86.29%. In addition, the completeness of student learning outcomes increased from 54.69% in cycle I to 86.51% in cycle II, which means it has exceeded the classical success indicator of 80%. Overall, these findings indicate that interactive PowerPoint media is effective in increasing student activity and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Natural Science (IPA) learning in elementary schools is required not only to be oriented towards mastering concepts, but also to be able to train students' higher-order cognitive skills. However, science learning practices in elementary schools still tend to be teacher-centered so that they are not optimal in developing higher-order thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model with a scientific approach on higher-order cognitive skills in elementary school students' science subjects. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research type and a pretest–posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of two classes of students at Gelam 1 Elementary School, Sidoarjo, designated as the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class received learning using the Project Based Learning model with a scientific approach, while the control class used a scientific approach without PjBL. The research instrument was a science learning outcome test oriented to higher-order cognitive skills (C4–C6). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, and t-tests. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class (82.10) was higher than the control class (71.30), with an increase in N-Gain of 0.62 in the experimental class and 0.36 in the control class. The t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), which indicated a significant difference between the two groups. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Project Based Learning model with a scientific approach is more effective in training students' high-level cognitive skills in science learning in elementary schools

Abstract

Student engagement is a crucial aspect of elementary school learning, yet in practice, participation levels are often low throughout the learning process. The use of digital media is seen as a potential pedagogical strategy to increase active student engagement. This study aims to examine the effect of digital media use in science learning on elementary school student engagement. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. The subjects consisted of fifth-grade students divided into an experimental class and a control class. The research instrument was a student engagement questionnaire covering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions, supported by observation sheets. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that the average student engagement score in the experimental class increased from 55.00 in the pretest to 85.00 in the posttest, while in the control class it increased from 50.00 to 65.00. The increase in student engagement in the experimental class occurred across all dimensions of engagement, with the highest increases in the psychomotor and cognitive dimensions. The prerequisite test results showed normally distributed and homogeneous data, while the mean difference test indicated a significant difference in student engagement between the experimental and control classes (p < 0.05). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of digital media in science learning has a positive and significant effect on increasing elementary school student engagement. Therefore, it is recommended that digital media be pedagogically integrated into science learning to create more interactive, meaningful, and student-centered learning in the digital age.
