Abstract

Any difficulty in analyzing sales transaction data is often faced by a company due to the huge number of sales transactions and the limited tools to process the data. It results in losses for the company since it is difficult to estimate the goods supply for subsequent sales. In this paper a data mining application is designed to analyze sales data. Market Basket Analysis is a data mining application that aims to determine most purchased or used products at once by the consumer. The process of Market Basket Analysis is to analyze consumer buying habits by finding associations among products purchased by different customers. The method used in Market Basket Analysis is a method of Fuzzy c-Covering, which is one method to classify the elements of a universal set into partitions of fuzzy sets. This study found that the value of support and confidence is part of the Market Basket Analysis, computed using the Fuzzy c-Covering. The higher the limit, the more selected the analytical results obtained are.

Abstract

This study developed a model of batch scheduling involving the unavailability machine to minimize setup costs, cost of preventive maintenance and the cost of rework in a stable machine. This model is considered necessary in order to understand the effect of the unavailability machine for production runs and to understand the effect on the batch production schedule. The results of this study indicate that the first and last run will not give single batch. Given a hypothetical example of how the model and algorithm developed solve the problem instance.

Abstract

Development of today's manufacturing systems leads to the getting shorter in product life cycle, more variety of products, as well as increasing in consumer demand for quality and timeliness. Thus the accuracy and speed of decision-making within the manufacturing system becomes important. This paper proposes an integrated model of batch scheduling and preventive maintenance scheduling, in assumption no non-conforming parts to the criteria of minimizing the total saving cost, setup cost, preventive maintenance cost in minimizing the actual flow time on a machine with increasing failure rate. An example is provided to show how the model and algorithm work.

Abstract

To take the employees’ absences in a company, a variety of invented tools or technologies are and already used, for example, attendance cards, fingerprints attendance tool, and attendance tool that uses facial recognition. Attendance tool with a facial recognition uses iris recognition of those employees. Iris code has many properties that hard to forge. Thus, the detection and iris recognition is one of the most secure and accurate for identification.

Abstract

This paper examines batch scheduling problem that has batching and sequencing in single formulation for multiple-item case. The first step is to develop a model for single item single resource discussed in Zahedi (2008). The model determined batch sizes and their schedule simultaneously in single item case. This paper develops the model and algorithm for multiple-item case. The model functions to minimize total actual flow times. An algorithm for the model is developed using a relaxation of the binary constraints. The binary values for the decision variables are obtained from steps provided in algorithm. A numerical experience showing characteristics of this problem is presented.

Abstract

The increasing number of road user causing traffic jam finds out a way, busway. However, in its implementation, the number of fleet available does not enough to take the passengers. It results in the an amassed of passengers at several bus stops. This leads to passenger dissatisfaction satisfaction which eventually causes Transjakarta users to reuse private cars. Definitely this situation may builds up traffic jams. Stochastic Bus Dispatching Model is used to simulate public transportation that operates regularly.
