Abstract

Penyakit Gout Arthritis merupakan salah satu jenis penyakit rematik yang disebabkan oleh penumpukan kristal asam urat di dalam sendi, yang sering kali menimbulkan rasa nyeri yang hebat dan peradangan pada sendi-sendi tertentu. Keluarga merupakan unit terkecil dalam masyarakat yang memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung individu yang menderita penyakit. Oleh karena itu, upaya edukasi kesehatan dalam keperawatan keluarga menjadi sangat penting dalam penanganan penyakit Gout Arthritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun program edukasi kesehatan dalam keperawatan keluarga tentang penyakit Gout Arthritis di Unit Pelayanan Teknis Tunagrahita (UPT YANSOS) Tuna Rungu Pematangsiantar. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keluarga sebagai unit terkecil dalam masyarakat memiliki pemahaman yang minim mengenai penyakit Gout Arthritis dan cara penanganannya. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya program edukasi kesehatan dalam keperawatan keluarga yang berfokus pada penyakit Gout Arthritis di UPT YANSOS Tuna Rungu Pematangsiantar. Program ini mencakup informasi tentang penyebab, gejala, penanganan, dan pencegahan penyakit Gout Arthritis, serta peran keluarga dalam mendukung individu yang menderita penyakit tersebut.Diharapkan dengan adanya program edukasi kesehatan ini, pemahaman keluarga mengenai penyakit Gout Arthritis akan meningkat, sehingga mereka dapat memberikan dukungan yang lebih baik dalam penanganan dan pencegahan penyakit ini bagi anggota keluarga yang terkena dampaknya.

Abstract

Range of motion (ROM) is an exercise that moves joints and allows contraction and movement in muscles. The aim of the research is the Effect of Range of Motion (ROM) Actions on Pain in Dextra Femur Fracture Patients at the Pematang Siantar Army Hospital in 2023. The research method uses a quantitative research design with a quasi-experimental type. This research is a quasi-experimental design using a pre-test and post-test with a one group pre-test post-test design approach. The population of the study was 40 people and a sample of 36 people with inclusion criteria: the patient had a right femur fracture, willing to be a respondent. The research results showed that the p-value = 0.000 < a = 0.05, so the research hypothesis was accepted, so it could be concluded that there was an influence of Range of Motion (ROM) measures on pain in right femur fracture patients at the Pematang Siantar Army Hospital in 2023. Conclusion: pain in right femur fracture patients before being given the Rango of Motion (ROM) procedure with severe pain was 36 people (100.0%). Pain in right femur fracture patients after being given the Rango of Motion (ROM) procedure with "mild" pain was 6 people (16.7%), and the number of respondents with "moderate" pain was 30 people (83.3%).

Abstract

Stroke is a functional brain disorder in the form of death of neurological nerve cells due to disruption of blood flow in one part of the brain. Hemorrhagic stroke is a ruptured blood vessel in the brain which results in intracranial bleeding. The prevalence of stroke cases every year is 13.7 million and around 5.5 million deaths occur due to stroke. One of the nursing problems that arises in cases of hemorrhagic stroke is impaired physical mobility. Efforts that can be made to overcome physical mobility disorders are passive range of motion (ROM). This research design uses the Case Study method. The sampling method used is purposive sampling. The samples taken were 2 respondents, namely patients with hemorrhagic stroke who were hospitalized at Vita Insani Hospital, Pematangsiantar. The results showed that there was an increase in mobility experienced by hemorrhagic stroke patients, a decrease in muscle strength, Mr. U scales (3) to (4) and in Mr. S scales (2) to (3). Passive range of motion (ROM) is effective in cases of hemorrhagic stroke in increasing physical mobility. Nurses are expected to be able to accompany patients to apply passive range of motion (ROM) in an effort to increase physical mobility in hemorrhagic stroke patients.
