Abstract

Limbah cair yang dihasilkan oleh pabrik kelapa sawit, atau Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME), umumnya dianggap sebagai limbah yang berbahaya. Terdapat beberapa parameter yang bisa diuji pada limbah cair pabrik kelapa sawit seperti pH, Total Solid dan Oil and Grease. Salah satu upaya untuk dapat mengurangi tingkat pencemaran pada limbah cair pabrik kelapa sawit adalah dengan cara biodegradasi menggunakan mikroorganisme seperti Microbe-Lift. Perlu dilakukan pengujian untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi Microbe-Lift dan waktu tinggal terhadap Nilai pH, Total Solid, dan Oil and Grease Pada Limbah Cair Pabrik Kelapa Sawit. Dimasukkan 500 ml sampel limbah pada 6  gelas piala dan ditambahkan masing- masing Mikrobe-Lift kedalam sampel 6 gelas piala tersebut dengan konsentrasi 0,00%; 0,10%; 0,20%; 0,30%; 0,40%; dan 0,50%. Kemudian diukur pH dengan mengunakan pH meter, Total Solid dan Oil and Grease dengan metode gravimetri. Pengujian ini dilakukan sampai hari ke-15. hasil pengukuran pH menunjukan kenaikan  hingga hari ke -15 disebabkan penguraian asam organik oleh Mikrobe-Lift. Setiap hari terjadi penurunan nilai Total Solid dan Oil and Grease sampai hari ke-15. Nilai Total Solid dan Oil and Grease sebelum penambahan Microbe-Lift adalah 6850 mg/L dan 15040 mg/L. Setelah 15 hari diperoleh Nilai Total Solid dan Oil and Grease paling rendah pada konsentrasi Microbe-Lift 0,50% sebesar 3900 mg/L dan 2900 mg/L, terjadi penurunan masing – masing 43% dan 80,71%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi konsentrasi Mikrobe-Lift dan semakin lama waktu tinggal maka  pH larutan akan semakin tinggi dan nilai Total Solid dan Oil and Grease limbah cair pabrik kelapa sawit akan semakin berkurang.

Abstract

Agricultural extension is undeniably very important for farmers in improving rice cultivation because it provides them with the information and activities needed to increase rice productivity and farmers' food independence. This study aims to analyze the level of competence of extension workers in improving food security. The competencies possessed by extension workers in this regard consist of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Food security in this study is examined from the aspects of availability, access, and safety quality. The research was conducted in Kuantan Singingi District, Riau Province, which has high rice production and adequate agricultural extension services for rice cultivation. The sample was selected using the purposive sampling method, resulting in fifty-eight extension workers being chosen. The Spearman Rank correlation test was used to assess the relationship between the competence of extension workers and food security in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The results reveal that all variables of the extension workers' competence (knowledge, skills, and attitudes) have a significant relationship with the food security of farmers, in terms of food availability, access, and safety quality. Extension workers indirectly play a crucial role in enhancing the food security of farmers’ households by sharing information and innovations that help improve rice production and overall household food security. Future researchers can develop sustainable, professional models and technology-based training modules to further improve the competence of extension workers.

Abstract

In this study, a modified polyethylene glycol modified cellulose acetate membrane was made. Cellulose acetate was synthesized from cocoa husk waste (Theobroma cacao L) with several steps, namely isolation of alpha cellulose from cocoa husk waste, synthesis of cellulose acetate from alpha cellulose, preparation of 10% cellulose acetate membrane with the addition of polyethylene glycol 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 & 25% . From the results of the research, it was found that the FT-IR analysis of -cellulose from cocoa shells showed an absorption peak at wave numbers between 3400 – 3500 cm-1 which indicated the presence of O-H stretch groups. At wave numbers 2800-2900 cm-1 indicates C-H stretching, then it can be seen at wave numbers 1160 cm-1 indicates C-O-C stretching, and at 1035-1060 cm-1 indicates C-O stretching. In the fingerprint area, we found absorption peaks at wave numbers around 1300 cm-1 which indicated the presence of C-H bending and around 1400 cm-1 indicating the presence of CH2 bending. The cellulose acetate obtained is white and smooth compared to alpha cellulose. At the membrane preparation stage, the results of the insoluble cellulose acetate & PEG using acetone as a solvent. So it is necessary to do a solubility test and find a suitable solvent to form polyethylene glycol modified cellulose acetate membrane for Pb metal ion filtration.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan alat pengeringan ikan tanpa sinar matahari telah banyak dikembangkan dan terbukti dapat menghasilkan produk ikan kering yang kualitasnya sama dengan ikan kering hasil pemgeringan sinar matahari, bahkan beberapa produk menunjukkan produk yang lebih baik. Melakukan pengawetan ikan dengan pengeringan menggunakan alat pengering ikan yang menggunakan bahan bakar Biomassa. Hasil pengeringan menghasilkan ikan kering yang lebih higienis dan mempunyai cita rasa tinggi. Hasil tangkapan ikan dari masyarakat nelayan diharapkan mempunyai nilai jual yang tinggi. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengatasi permasalahan mitra sasaran dalam hal produksi ikan teri kering, maka tim pelaksana pengabdian akan melatih mitra sekaligus menerapkan teknologi pengeringan ikan menggunakan alat pengering ikan alternatif tanpa menggunakan sinar matahari. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada kelompok tani nelayan di Kel. Pasia Nan Tigo Kec. Koto Tangah. Pelaksanaan kegiatan mencakup berupa Motivasi Usaha, Pelatihan Manajemen Usaha, dan Training penggunaan Alat Pengering. Hasil kegiatan berlangsung baik dan lancar, serta alat pengering ikan alternatif berfungsi dengan baik dan diharapkan dapat digunakan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) di Sirambang, Cubadak Air Utara, Kota Pariaman, Provinsi Sumatra Barat dengan judul "Pembuatan Cokelat Batang Melalui Proses Fermentasi dari Biji Buah Kakao." Mitra kegiatan ini adalah kelompok usaha petani Kakao, melibatkan 20 peserta petani dan 7 instruktur dari Politeknik ATI Padang. Saat ini, petani di daerah tersebut masih terbatas dalam mengembangkan hasil pertanian buah kakao menjadi produk pangan. Mereka cenderung hanya menjual biji buah kakao kering kepada agen pengumpul hasil bumi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pelatihan untuk mengajarkan cara mengolah biji buah kakao menjadi produk pangan berupa cokelat batang yang memiliki daya tarik tinggi di pasar konsumen, sehingga dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat. Proses pembuatan cokelat batang melalui fermentasi biji buah kakao dimulai dengan memasukkan biji kakao ke dalam alat fermentor dan mengfermentasinya selama 7 hari. Hasil fermentasi kemudian dijemur di bawah sinar matahari hingga kering, lalu biji kakao disangrai dalam kuali hingga benar-benar kering. Biji kakao yang telah bersih dimasukkan ke dalam blender dan dicampur dengan minyak goreng, susu, dan gula dalam perbandingan 1:1:1:1. Adonan di-blender hingga halus, membentuk pasta cokelat, yang kemudian dicetak dalam cetakan cokelat dan dibekukan dalam freezer. Cokelat batang yang telah terbentuk dikemas menggunakan aluminium foil dan dibungkus dengan kemasan cokelat. Kegiatan PKM dilaksanakan dengan baik dan lancar, diharapkan memberikan wawasan kepada mitra mengenai proses pembuatan cokelat batang melalui fermentasi biji buah kakao. Semoga hasil ini dapat digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari serta menjadi sumber penghasilan tambahan bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

Telah dilaksanakan kegiatan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) di Usaha Ladu Arai Pinang Bunda Kampung Perak Kota Pariaman, Provinsi Sumatra Barat dengan judul “Teknologi Tepat Guna Produksi Lilin Aromaterapi dari Minyak Jelantah”. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah pengusaha Ladu Arai Pinang Bunda Kota Pariaman dengan jumlah peserta 20 orang dan 07 orang instruktur dari Politeknik ATI Padang. Pengabdian dalam bentuk Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) merupakan program telah diimplementasikan pada pengusaha Ladu Arai Pinang Bunda yang telah mempunyai izin usaha P-IRT 2061377010159 – 26. Ladu Arai Pinang Bunda merupakan salah satu toko oleh-oleh yang cukup dikenal di Kota Pariaman. Ladu Arai Bunda memproduksi ladu arai pinang sebanyak 50 kg setiap minggu dan belum termasuk produksi panganan lainnya seperti rakik kacang, rakik maco, keripik balado dan lain-lain. Berdasarkan produksi tersebut, maka pengusaha tersebut juga menghasilkan hasil samping penggorengan berupa minyak jelantah sebanyak 5 liter dalam sebulan. Proses pembuatan lilin aromaterapi dari minyak jelantah terdiri atas beberapa tahapan yaitu proses penghilangan bumbu, proses netralisasi, proses penjernihan, dan tahapan akhir yaitu pembuatan lilin aromaterapi. Oleh karena itu, Tim PKM memberikan penyuluhan pembuatan lilin aromaterapi dengan memanfaatkan minyak sisa penggorengan produksi. Kegiatan PKM terlaksana dengan baik dan lancar serta sesuai dengan hasil yang diharapkan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan, ilmu dan masukan kepada pihak mitra mengenai proses pembuatan lilin aromaterapi dari minyak jelantah sehingga dapat digunakan untuk keperluan sehari-hari dan bahkan dapat dijual oleh pengusaha tersebut.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to create an Infaq Payment Information System using Delphi 7 to make Infak Data Payments contained in the Aceh Energy and Mineral Resources Office where there are advantages when compared to Microsoft Excel in terms of Infaq Payments including in terms of Output, where the system that will be the author developed can load more than one Output. In the process of the author's research regarding infaq payments at the aceh energy and mineral resources service, in the current system there are often obstacles or problems that arise. This happens because there are several things that quite interfere with the Financial Monitoring process, including; The length of the infaq payment process is one of the main obstacles, the use of microsoft excel is considered too complicated in terms of input, processing, information, the process of accessing / uploading data will take longer and waste more energy, and the possibility of errors or mistakes is more risky due to everything something that can manually interfere with the accuracy of the user. In application development, the researcher uses the prototype method. From the results of the research, the calculation application can be used as payment at the Aceh Energy & Mineral Resources Department and is designed using Delphi, then the results of the evaluation of the current desktop application display with prototype design are known that each category has an increase in usability value. Content, Organization and Readability previously had a value of 0.61 and increased to 0.66. The Navigation category was previously 0.62 to 0.67. The previous User Interface Design category was 0.63 to 0.70 and the previous Performance and Effectiveness category was 0.64 to 0.72.

Abstract

Shortening is a solid plastic fat product that is widely used as a raw material in the production of food products such as biscuits, cakes, bread, and pastries. PT X produces shortening from the interesterification reaction of Refined, Bleached and Deodorized Palm Oil. (RBDPO). In the shortening production process using the interesterification method, it will be influenced by the amount of catalyst added and the heating time. The objective of this research is to analyze the effect of the amount of sodium methoxide catalyst and heating time on the interesterification process of RBDPO on the quality of shortening products. By considering the parameters of Solid Fat Content (SFC) and Slip Melting Point (SMP), an optimal method can be developed to improve the quality and stability of the shortening product. The variations of sodium methoxide catalyst used are concentrations of 0.050%; 0.100%; 0.125%; 0.25%; 0.375%; 0.500%, while the variations in heating time are 50 minutes, 40 minutes, and 30 minutes. The results of the research conducted show that the interesterification process of RBDPO into a shortening product with very good quality is achieved by using sodium methoxide catalyst with a concentration of 0.250% and a heating time of 40 minutes, in accordance with the standards set by PT X for Solid Fat Content (SFC) and Slip Melting Point. (SMP).

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to design an information system for car and motorcycle washing services that will be used by doormeer business users, which is expected to assist doormeer entrepreneurs in recording every transaction, queue, payroll management and can be used with various platforms both desktop and mobile. In the process of designing an information system for doormeer car and motorcycle washing services, we use the DevOps software design method. From the results of research and observations that have been made on Doorsmeer CV. XYZ, it can be concluded that from the results of the design of an information system for car and motorcycle washing services at Doorsmeer CV. XYZ web-based parties make it easy to inform washing services that are ready to use through the ordering system. With the website, customers can access and get information and order services quickly from their homes, and can choose the services they want to use according to the customer's plan, and Applications information system for car and motorcycle washing services at Doorsmeer CV. XYZ can handle and control and supervise service transaction data, create invoices that can avoid delays and in making contract reports for each transaction activity.

Abstract

Webinars and surveys have been widely used. Popular applications such as ezTalks, Zoom, Demio, Google Meet, LiveStorm have been used in seminars and online meetings. For every webinar activity, the organizers often carry out survey activities to see feedback from participants, google forms applications, survey monkeys, typeforms, zoho surveys, and gizmo surveys are used to see responses from all participants. In addition, several organizers also gave appreciation in the form of certificates. However, the management of many webinars is often an obstacle to seeing the results of each activity and the participants who take part in the activity. Although the use of google forms has been very good and effective, the lack of features in the management of webinar activities is a problem in itself in making reports in a short time. Therefore, we need a service application that can assist in the management of webinar activities and has survey features from registration, attendance to certificates. Where later application users (organizations, committees) can fill out webinar activities and can propose surveys for each activity carried out. In software development, Agile Development Methods (ASD) are used, Event Management System for Webinars and Survey applications that the researchers built using CodeIgniter and React-Js. In the test, we plan the data analysis to be divided into three parts, namely Demographic Analysis Results, Reliability Test Results Analysis, Validity, and Data Processing Analysis. Analysis Data processing includes Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). So far, webinar and survey management applications have completely fulfilled needs such as making a number of questions in the form of multimedia and sharing research data, but webinar management applications with survey services in an application have not been carried out. It is hoped that the development of research on webinar and survey management applications will produce more visualitative applications and be able to manage webinar activities and reporting related to surveys, reporting participants for each activity carried out. Based on the results of the Importance Performance Analysis, it is known that the average value of the level of expectation or importance for usability is 3.97, and the average value for the level of performance is 3.68. the average value of the level of expectation or importance for information quality is 4.07, and the average value for the level of performance is 3.70. the average value of the level of expectation or importance for service interaction is 3.94, and the average value for the level of performance is 3.71.
