Abstract

This research aims to (1) find out the effect of the combination of chicken blood meal and rice bran on the quality of broiler chicken feed, (2) find out the best combination of chicken blood meal and rice bran on the quality of broiler chicken feed, and (3) find out that the research results can be used as a source of study in biology. The type of research used is quantitative, using experimental methods and random sampling techniques. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), applying 4 treatments and 5 repetitions with P1 (10 grams of chicken blood meal, 190 grams of rice bran, 150 ml of pumakkal formula), P2 (15 grams of chicken blood meal, 185 grams of rice bran, 150 ml of pumakkal formula), P3 (20 grams of chicken blood meal, 180 grams of rice bran, 150 ml of pumakkal formula), and P4 (25 grams of chicken blood meal, 175 grams of rice bran, 150 ml of pumakkal). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is a real influence of protein content on the quality of the feed combined with chicken blood meal and rice bran, but there is no real influence of fat, water, and crude fiber content. With the best research results, the protein content in P4 = 21.941%, the fat content in P1 = 9.513, the water content in P1 = 14.009%, and the crude fiber content in P1 = 4.949%. The results of this research can be used as biology teaching material in the form of a student worksheet on biotechnology material for high school class XII. The results of the validation of learning resources by material experts, design experts, and language experts concluded that the student worksheet was suitable for use as a learning resource, with an average score of 95% for material experts, 80% for design experts, and 83.3% for language experts.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out which dose of waste affects the levels of N, P, K in solid compost of chicken feather waste and rice husk, to find out the pumakkal formula and the dose of waste that was by the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) as a composting material to support learning biology. This type of research was experimental research by using the dose of chicken feather waste P0 (1.50kg), P1 (1.50kg), P2 (1.75kg), and P3 (2kg). The parameters observed were the content of Nitrogen (N). Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K). Analyzed using a qualitative method by comparing the results with SNI solid compost. Based on the results of the study, there was an effect of the dose of chicken feather waste on compost. testing with solid compost SNI shows that (P0) is 35.503%, then in treatment 1 (P1) is 35.012%, treatment 2 (P2) is 35.947% and in treatment 3 (P3) is 36.941%. The results of this study can be utilized as a learning resource in the form of Learner Activity Sheets and are suitable for use as a class XII biology learning resource. With a validation value in the material aspect of 71.1%, the design aspect of 87.5%, and the language aspect of 70%.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the impact of different doses of cow urine with the addition of bamboo shoots and Pumakkal on the growth of Pondoh eggplant plants. The researchers also sought to determine the most effective dose among these treatments. Additionally, the study aimed to utilize the research findings as a resource for biology learning through Learner Worksheets (LKPD). The research followed an experimental design using a completely randomized design (RAL), and the data were analyzed using Anava. The results indicated that the stem height and wet weight of pondoh eggplant fruit were significantly influenced by the treatments. Further analysis using the BNJ test identified treatment 3, comprising a dose of 300 mL of cow urine with bamboo shoots and Pumakkal, as the most effective. The research outcomes were utilized to create a biology learning resource called Project Based Learning (PjBL) based LKPD. The validation of the material, language, and design by experts yielded highly favorable results. The study concluded that the mixture of cow urine with bamboo shoots and Pumakkal positively impacted the growth of cow urine.

Abstract

Maggot scum is a by-product of the maggot cultivation process (Hermetia illucens). Maggot can be used as organic fertilizer because it contains some nutrients needed by plants such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and also potassium. The objectives of this study are 1) to determine whether there is an effect of giving varying doses of ex-maggot (Hermetia illucens) on the growth of kale plants (Brassica oleracea var. Achepala), 2) to determine the best treatment of giving varying doses of ex-maggot (Hermetia illucens) on the growth of kale plants (Brassica oleracea var. Achepala), 3) to develop learning resources in the form of Learner Worksheets on class XII Senior High School growth and development material. This research is an experimental research using the Complete Randomized Design method. In the research conducted, there were 1 control and 3 treatments with dose information, control (only soil), treatment 1 (100 g of ex-maggot), treatment 2 (200 g of ex-maggot), and treatment 3 (300 g of ex-maggot). The growth parameters of kale plants (Brassica oleracea var. Achepala) observed were plant height, number of leaves (strands), and wet weight of kale plants (Brassica oleracea var. Achepala). Based on the results of the research and ANOVA test, there is an effect of giving variations in the dose of former maggot on the growth of kale plants (Brassica oleracea var. Achepala). The further test used gives the result that the variation of the dose of ex-maggot 300 grams are the best treatment that gives effect to the growth of kale plants (Brassicca oleracea var. Achepala). The results of this study can also be used as a biology learning resource in the form of Learner Worksheet class XII Senior High School growth and development material.
