Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan sosialisasi kepada guru tentang penggunaan platform quizizz untuk evaluasi pembelajaran. Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini adalah mencakup ceramah variatif disertai dengan simulasi, kegiatan dikatakan berhasil apabila respon peserta yang menjawab sangat bermanfaat lebih dari 70%. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah berupa kecakapan guru-guru dalam menggunakan platform quizizz pada kegiatan pembelajaran. Sebelumnya guru – guru  SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Medan belum pernah menggunakan platform quizizz dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini mendapat respon sangat bermanfaat bagi guru sebesar 90%, artinya kegiatan PKM ini berhasil dilaksanakan. Kata Kunci: Sosialisai; Penggunaan; Platfrom Quizizz

Abstract

Educational tools are very important to be implemented in the learning process. This is because educational tools can increase students' learning motivation so that learning is more meaningful, innovative and creative. However, the reality in the field is that when the learning process is in the classroom, teachers do not use learning media such as educational tools. This results in low student interest in learning mathematics, which also makes students' mathematical abilities low. Therefore, the community service team carried out community service activities regarding the use of educational tools in classroom learning. This community service activity aims to increase students' interest in learning and also their mathematical abilities. This community service activity was carried out at MIS Nurul Hidayah Medan. Participants in this activity were grade IV students consisting of 32 students. This activity was carried out on May 7, 2025. The methods used in this community service activity were preparation and planning, implementation and evaluation. The results of this community service activity were that students were more interested and enthusiastic in using educational tools with picture cards (flash cards) and there was an increase in students' mathematical abilities after using the educational tool.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the computational thinking (CT) skills of elementary school students through unplugged coding activity sheets in mathematics learning. The research uses a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design pre-experimental design. The subjects of the study are 25 fourth-grade students from Muhammadiyah 18 Medan, selected through purposive sampling. Data was collected using a CT ability test administered before and after the learning session. Data analysis was conducted using a paired sample t-test and N-Gain calculation. The research results show a significant increase in students' CT ability with an average score rising from 54.48 (pre-test) to 73.32 (post-test), a t-statistic value of -86.782, and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The N-Gain value of 0.65 indicates the effectiveness of learning in the medium category. All CT indicators showed improvement, with generalization experiencing the highest increase (39.6%), followed by decomposition (39.3%), abstraction (38.9%), and algorithmic thinking (38.6%). However, the debugging and iteration indicators showed relatively lower increases of 28.7% and 23.6%, respectively. This research demonstrates that mathematics learning with unplugged coding activity sheets can be a solution to develop the CT abilities of primary school students with limited technological devices.

Abstract

Prevalensi kanker pada anak setiap tahun semakin meningkat. Salah satu gejala kanker pada anak adalah nyeri. Nyeri dirasakan hampir semua pasien kanker sebagai akibat berkembangnya penyakit dan efek terapi yang dapat mengganggu fungsi fisik, psikis, mental dan sosial. Orang tua merupakan orang terdekat anak yang akan mendampingi anak dalam menghadapi penyakit dan pengobatan. Dalam proses sakitnya, Rumah singgah diperuntukkan bagi pasien dan pendamping selama pengobatan maupun perawatan kanker. Manajemen nyeri menjadi penting bagi orang tua agar dapat membantu anak mengatasi nyeri dan meningkatkan kualitas hidupnya. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah melakukan edukasi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua terutama ibu dalam melakukan manajemen nyeri pada anak dengan kanker. Prosedur pengabdian masyarakat yaitu menggunakan kuesioner yang di berikan sebelum dan sesudah edukasi yang berisi pertanyaan kepada ibu tentang manajemen nyeri pada anak dengan kanker. Jumlah ibu yang mengikuti pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah 15 orang ibu dengan anak di rumah singgah. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada rata- rata tingkat pengetahuan ibu dari 4.67 menjadi 9.13. Kesimpulan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan ibu tentang manajemen nyeri pada anak dengan kanker setelah di berikan edukasi.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan salah satu pelajaran yang kurang disukai siswa karena dianggap sulit dan membosankan. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan aplikasi pembelajaran agar pembelajaran menjadi menyenangkan seperti aplikasi kalkulator grafik. Pada kalkulator grafik, siswa diberi kebebasan untuk mencoba berbagai pertidaksamaan garis, mengamati berbagai bentuk garis, arah arsiran sesuai dengan bentuk pertidaksamaan, dan titik potong yang terbentuk dari dua garis atau lebih. Melalui aplikasi ini, siswa akan lebih mudah memahami materi program linear dan tidak merasa bosan belajar di kelas. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah metode pendampingan dan praktik langsung. Setelah dilaksanakan pelatihan, 85% siswa telah mampu menggunakan aplikasi ini dan hasil angket menyatakan bahwa 95% siswa merasa pelatihan ini sangat bermanfaat. Pelatihan ini memberikan informasi yang baru kepada siswa bahwa belajar matematika tidak sesulit yang mereka bayangkan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model as the implementation of the independent curriculum in Kindergarten Aba 25 Medan. This research uses the type of research and development (Research & Development). The data collection method is observation and documentation. Techniques in data analysis Techniques in data analysis used are qualitative descriptive. The development stage consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results of the analysis show that in the first development stage when teachers implement the Project-Based Learning Model as the Implementation of the Independent Curriculum which is carried out reaches an average percentage of 83.33% with a very appropriate category while for child development during its implementation it reaches an overall average of 68.43% with a category that is still developing. The second development stage when teachers implemented the Project-Based Learning Model as the Implementation of the Independent Curriculum which was carried out reached an average percentage of 91.66% with the category being very appropriate, while for child development during its implementation it reached an overall average of 85.93% with the category of developing as expected

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the independent learning curriculum in the context of students' mathematics learning outcomes. The type of research used is quantitative with an ex-post facto design. The sample determination technique was carried out by random sampling. Primary data collection is in the form of midterm exam results in mathematics subjects as well as population and research samples, namely class III B students with a total of 33 students. The data was analyzed in a quantitative descriptive manner. The results of the study show that the implementation of the independent learning curriculum is no longer based on themes but subjects that are effective by each teacher based on an agreement on what field of study to be taught, the application of the independent curriculum has begun to be well adopted by students. Based on the results of data analysis, there was a significant difference in the results of the mid-semester exam in the ganji semester (the implementation of the 2013 curriculum) and the results of the mid-semester exam in the even semester (the implementation of the independent learning curriculum) after the paired sample t-test was applied which showed a significant difference in the comparison of mathematics learning outcomes of grade III B students at SD Karya Bakti I Medan.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Pertumbuhan fisik bayi yang optimal sangat penting. Jakarta Timur mencatat 132.350 kelahiran pada 2023, tertinggi di wilayah lain. Banyak kader dasawisma di sini belum pernah mendapat pelatihan pijat bayi dan sangat tertarik. Oleh karena itu, Prodi DIII Keperawatan Universitas Bhakti Kencana PSDKU Jakarta mengadakan penyuluhan dan pelatihan baby massage. Metode: Kegiatan dilakukan melalui survei wilayah, dialog dengan pejabat, promosi kesehatan, pelatihan baby massage, dan evaluasi. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 20 kader dasawisma. Hasil: Pelatihan meningkatkan pengetahuan dari 7,15 menjadi 9,55 dan sikap dari 32,10 menjadi 35,15. Analisis menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan (p=0.000). Kesimpulan : Pelatihan baby massage meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap kader dasawisma di Jakarta Timur. Upaya berkelanjutan diperlukan untuk memastikan dampak jangka panjang, termasuk pengukuran pertumbuhan fisik bayi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam Program Bank Sampah Mutiara (The Gade Clean Gold) yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Tuah Madani, Kota Pekanbaru. Program ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan sampah dan memberikan manfaat ekonomi melalui manajemen Bank Sampah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah berjumlah sampel 80 orang Nasabah Bank Sampah. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah Usia, Pendidikan, Pekerjaan, Penghasilan, dan Lamanya Tinggal (Domisili). Data dianalisis dengan korelasi Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa tingkat partisipasi masyarakat terhadap program Bank Sampah Mutiara (The Gade Clean Gold) adalah rendah dengan jumlah 30 orang (37,5%), tingkat partisipasi sedang dengan jumlah 19 orang (23,75%), tingkat partisipasi tinggi dengan jumlah 31 orang (38,75%).

Abstract

Purpose – This research compared students’ understanding of mathematical concepts when taught through two different approaches: conventional instruction and the ICARE model (Introduction, Connect, Apply, Reflect, Extend) supported by the Desmos application in the topic of quadratic equations. Despite growing evidence on the individual benefits of the ICARE learning model and the Desmos application, limited empirical research has examined their systematic integration within each ICARE phase to improve secondary students’ conceptual understanding of quadratic equations.Methodology – The study adopted a quasi-experimental design with a posttest-only control group. A total of 45 ninth-grade students from SMP Manunggal Medan participated in the 2025/2026 academic year, comprising 23 in the control class and 22 in the experimental class. The instrument was a conceptual understanding test consisting of open-ended questions, validated by experts. Data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test.Findings – The results showed a significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.001). The experimental class obtained an average score of 76.09, while the control class reached only 59.65. Distribution analysis also revealed that 86.4% of students in the experimental group were categorized as good to very good. In comparison, 78.2% of students in the control group were categorized as poor to very poor. These outcomes suggest that the ICARE model, combined with Desmos, is efficacious in improving students' conceptual understanding of mathematics and in narrowing individual achievement gaps.Contribution –In practice, the findings underscore the importance of preparing teachers to integrate technology into their teaching practices, thereby making learning more interactive, collaborative, and student centered.
