Abstract

The purpose of education is essential to form a complete human being, especially as a divine-human being. This study aims to determine the habits of students in the formation of their religious character. The method used in this research is quantitative in the form of a survey. The data collection technique was carried out using an online questionnaire in the form of a Google Form which was analyzed quantitatively descriptively. Sources of data are students of grade 3 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) State Preparation (PN) Rupit, Musi Rawas Utara as many as 25 students. The results of the study revealed that the application of school culture was emphasized on Islamic culture and its religious character was instilled through school culture, some children had implemented their religious culture at school such as reading the Koran, maintaining cleanliness, praying before and after studying, respect for teachers, and tolerance. This research is unique because it has never been done before at MI PN Rupit. The contribution of research can provide understanding for other schools that want to implement a school culture based on religious character, provide references for other researchers who want to conduct research related to the religious character of students formed through school culture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and test the significance of the role and effectiveness of the Storytelling method in enhancing students' Emotional Intelligence (EQ) in the Islamic Cultural History (SKI) subject at MTs Babussalam Bengkulu Utara. Employing a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach, the research utilized a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design, involving an experimental group receiving Storytelling treatment and a control group using conventional methods. The population consisted of all eighth-grade students at MTs Babussalam Bengkulu Utara, with a sample of two classes (N=60, 30 students each) obtained through cluster random sampling or purposive sampling. Data were collected via Likert-scale questionnaires for pretest and posttest EQ measurements, supplemented by observation and documentation. Analysis employed inferential statistics, preceded by normality and homogeneity tests, and primary hypothesis testing used independent sample t-test or ANCOVA to compare posttest EQ score differences between groups (α=0.05). Results indicated a significant difference between the experimental group (mean 92.15) and control group (mean 83.40), with Sig. 2-tailed at 0.000 (0.000 < 0.05), demonstrating Storytelling's significant role in EQ development through internalization of exemplary values from SKI, particularly in empathy and self-management. Recommendation: SKI teachers at MTs Babussalam should adopt Storytelling as a primary strategy to bridge historical knowledge with affective character formation in students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui permasalahan kesulitan pembelajaran Mufrodat pada pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Azhaar II Purwodadi Kabupaten Musi Rawas. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian disimpulkan bahwasanya kesulitan santri dalam penguasaan Mufrodat dikarenakan kurangnya kemampuan santri dalam memahami dan membaca tulisan Arab lantaran latar belakang pendidikan santri yang berasal dari sekolah dasar bukan dari madrasah ataupun pondok pesantren, hal ini mengakibatkan santri mengalami kesulitan ketika berhadapan dengan mata pelajaran bahasa Arab yang sangat mengutamakan Mufrodat. Faktor lain yang mempengaruhi yaitu kurangnya motivasi belajar, dukungan keluarga, lingkungan, dan kurang menariknya metode pengajaran guru bahasa Arab sehingga menimbulkan rasa bosan santri. Adapun upaya sekolah mengatasi permasalahan ini adalah dengan mengadakan hafalan Mufrodat sebelum memulai pelajaran yang diamanahkan kepada guru pengajar dan melakukan evaluasi bersama dalam memperbaiki kekurangan dalam pengajaran Keywords: Identifikasi, Kesulitan, Pembelajaran Mufrodat, Santri
