Abstract

The mangrove forest is a unique and distinctive form of forest ecosystem, especially in the Indonesia area, because the mangrove forest is found in the ebb and flow of coastal, coastal, and small islands, and it is a potentially rich and competitive nature's resources. The mangrove forests have great economic and ecological value especially in coastal society, but they are particularly vulnerable to damage when the care of the society for the preservation and maintenance of the mangrove forest it self is reduced. The study was to find out the extent of the society understanding of the mangrove forest in the Pangkalaseang Village, North Balantak District, Banggai Regency. The study is carried out for 2 months, from June to August 2020. The method was used to identify the level of human understanding of the mangrove forest found in the Pangkalaseang Village, analysed using a descriptive method, with a scale of 1-3-5 (likert scale modification). The data-collection technique used in this research is observation, interview and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the level of understanding of the people in the pangkalaseang village is in high levels, indicating that the knowledge levels in the village of pangkalaseang are already familiar with the importance of the mangrove forest. The society understood that the presence of mangrove forests opened the way for society to manage so as to care for the life and economic needs of the families resulting from the manage of the mangrove forest.Keywords: Mangrove, Forest, Society

Abstract

Private forest is a concept of forest management that places society as the main sector in maintaining and using forest function, while the government has role as facilitator that supports the farmers community. The management and the development of  private forest in Sintuwu village Palolo subdistrict is a collaboration of Forestry and Plantation Department of Sigi District. The research was conducted for three months, began on April  up to the month of June 2015, located in Sintuwu village Palolo subdistrict Sigi district.  The research aimed to find out of how the process of Private Forest Management was done by the society. Data gathering was done by observing and interviewing with questionnaire. The data gathered analized descriptively. The result of the research showed that the management program of the private forest that made by Forestry and Plantation by full involvement of farmers community of Sintuwu village that established, and based on the result of interviewing the respondents of the farmers community who said that less attention from Forestry and Plantation Department then the Private Forest management was done individually without any coordination. All farmers community did the private forest management that included infrastructure, planting area management, planting, maintaining and supervising by their own ways without monitoring by the government, therefore at the end of the planting the plant, it was ignored for them less of information and no coordination of  the Forestry and Plantation Department about the next step that should be done in relation to the Private Forest management itself.Keywords: Institution, Society and Government, Private Forest

Abstract

Understanding Tourism, basically the scope of tourism consists of 3 elements, namely: human as a human element of tourism activities, place as a physical element that is actually covered by the activity itself and time as an element of time spent on the trip itself and while staying at the destination tour. The Tourism Sector is broadly a recreational activity outside the domicile of breaking away from routine work or seeking another atmosphere. Tourism has become an important part of the basic needs of developed countries and a small part of developing country society. Tourism is increasingly developing in line with social, cultural, economic, technological and political changes As a human activity, tourism is a very complex phenomenon of the movement of people, goods, and services. Tourism is closely related to organizations, institutional and individual relationships, service needs, and so on. The purpose of this study is to find out the factors that influence the intensity of visits and calculate the economic value of Nupabomba Waterfall Nature Tourism Objects based on the method of travel costs. The location of this research was carried out in the Natural Tourism Object of Nupabomba Waterfall in Tanantovea District, Donggala Regency. The sample used in this study was purposive sampling using the analysis of the Travel cost method. Based on the results of the research conducted the magnitude of the economic value of the Tumanggu Indah Waterfall Tourism Object using the trip cost method was 189,632 / visit with Visit Intensity 3 times.Keywords: Economic Value, Waterfall Nature Tourism, Nupabomba Village.

Abstract

Population growth around the protected forest will increase the threat damage caused by uncontrolled land clearing which can damage the ecosystem environment. This study aimed to know people motivation in Mire Village, Ulubongka Sub-district, Tojo Una-Una Regency of protected forest area. Method of this study was qualitative descriptive, through collecting primary and secondary data. Both of these data were obtained from interview result with the respondent and some supporting data such as village government and literature study. Data analysis used Likert Scale 5-3-1, to find out how far community motivation toward protection forest in protected forest area in Mire. The result of this study indicated that ecological motivation is still quite dominant with a percentage (98,82%) by being in the motivated category compared with economic motivation by (62,35%) and social motivation (97,84%) in relation to regional safeguards of protected forest area in Mire. Ecology motivation is encouraged by the strong desire of people in Mire to preserve its forest area, including the preservation and ecosystem stability that will be maintained in the future. In an effort to protect the forest in Mire, people do replanting of critical lands and establishing village regulations along with the strict punishments for people violate the rules. Keywords: People Motivation, Protection Forest

Abstract

Forest and land rehabilitation is intended to restore, maintain and improve forest and land functions so that the carrying capacity, productivity and role in supporting living systems is maintained. The reduced quality of the environment can lead to natural disasters such as floods and landslides and other natural disasters that can harm living things. This study aims to determine public perceptions of protected forest rehabilitation activities in Sarumbaya Village. The study was conducted for three months, from November 2016 to January 2017. The research location was located in Sarumbaya Village, Banawa Selatan District, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. Data collection techniques through interviews using questionnaires, with in-depth interviews, which are expected to provide information that supports the validity of data obtained from the questionnaire results. The number of respondents taken was 32 people, respondents were chosen deliberately using a Likert scale analysis with scaling modifications 1-3-5. The results showed that the perception of Sarumbaya Village community towards the rehabilitation of protected forest activities carried out by the Donggala District Forestry Service can be categorized high. This is evident from the community's knowledge of the existence of rehabilitation activities and community involvement in rehabilitation activities starting from the planning, implementation and maintenance stages which are classified as high.Keywords: Perception, Rehabilitation, Protection Forest.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi nilai tambah dari segi lingkungan dan ekonomi, hasil penelitian dapat diambil kebijakan yang tepat untuk melestarikan lingkungan secara berkelanjutan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat sekitar daerah penyangga Taman Nasional Lore Lindu. Hasil penelitian ini menyajikan nilai biodiversitas sebagai nilai kompensasi yang akan didapat dari penurunan eksploitasi lahan atau penggarapan lahan menjadi lahan pertanian pohon kemiri, dengan tidak melakukan pengelolaan secara berkelanjutan pada hutan kemiri tersebut, maka nilai biodiversitas akan meningkat. Hal ini tentu akan mengembalikan fungsi utama kedua desa tersebut sebagai daerah penyangga kawasan Taman Nasional dari gangguan-gangguan luar serta sebagai penyangga kehidupan bagi manusia maupun hutan itu sendiri. Pendapatan rata-rata petani kemiri Desa Sigimpu dan Desa Bakubakulu dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu berada pada kisaran angka >Rp.1.500.000 sampai dengan Rp. 2.500.000/Bulan. Sedangkan Nilai rataan WTA/nilai kompensasi yang diinginkan responden, pada Desa Sigimpu yaitu Rp.4.450.000/Ha/Bulan dan Rp.5.293.717/Ha/Bulan untuk Desa Bakubakulu. Nilai tambah ekonomi yang mampu diidentifikasi yang cukup tinggi yaitu sebesar ±Rp.11.280.000/bulan. nilai tambah dari segi lainnya berupa, meningkatnya nilai biodiversitas hutan, berkurangnya kerusakan lingkungan seperti hilangnya habitat  flora maupun fauna, menurunnya angka penebangan liar, dan secara tidak langsung kita akan memperoleh nilai tambah pada keseluruhan nilai ekonomi total.

Abstract

Forests, as a gift and mandate from Almighty God, which were bestowed upon the Indonesian nation, are a natural wealth that is priceless, therefore we must be grateful for it. This research was carried out for 3 months, from June to September 2021. This research was located in a production forest in the Dampelas Tinombo Model KPHP area, which is included in the Parisian Agung Village area, Dampelas District, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. The composition of vegetation types in the production forest of Parisian Agung Village consists of 28 types of vegetation. at the tree level in the plot there were 165 individuals from 25 types of vegetation, while at the pole level vegetation, there were 140 individuals from 25 types of vegetation, at the sapling level there were 145 individuals from 28 types of vegetation and at the seedling level there were 154 individuals from 28 types of vegetation. While the potential volume of trees in the observation plot is 162.53 m3 from 165 individuals, the bayas type has the largest volume with 13.17 m3 and the pole level volume in the observation plot is 17.89 m3 from 140 individuals, the prupuk type has the largest with 1.63 m3.

Abstract

Introduction: Forests have an important role in meeting the needs of human life. In addition to having benefits for life, forests also have many benefits, one of which is benefits in the economic sector. Development in the forestry sector is directed at optimal and sustainable utilization of forest resources and strives to improve the welfare of people's lives. Utilization of forest resources, especially timber forest products to be used as sawn timber. sawn timber is semi-finished goods because it will be further processed into other products, for example, sawn products are processed into molding products, flooring furniture, and others that are specific. This study aims to determine the financial aspects of sawn timber processing at Buana Alam Trading Business. This research was conducted for two months from March 2023 to April 2023, which took place at the Buana Alam Trade Business in Palu City, Central Sulawesi. Method: This research uses a purposive sampling method at the location and 1 respondent, namely the leader or business owner as a research sample. This research calculates business finances for 13 years of operation. Results and Discussion: The results of this study indicate that the financial analysis of the sawn timber business obtained an NPV value of Rp. 389,806,900, BCR 2.09 and IRR 22.9% of the Buana Alam Trading Business shows a positive value, so that the Buana Alam Trading Business is feasible to continue and based on the results of business financial analysis using NPV calculations, the Buana Alam Business is feasible to continue. Conclusion: The results of the financial analysis of the sawn timber business for 13 years of operation obtained an NPV value of Rp. 389,806,900, BCR 2.09, and IRR 22.9%. Based on the results of research using financial analysis, the Buana Alam trade business in Palu City is feasible to continue.

Abstract

Hasil hutan bukan kayu adalah hasil hutan hayati baik nabati maupun hewani beserta produk turunannya, salah satu diantaranya adalah nira aren yang dapat diolah menjadi gula aren. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besarnya biaya produksi, penerimaan, pendapatan dan keuntungan usaha gula aren, serta besarnya Break Even Point (BEP) produksi serta Break Even Point (BEP) harga pada usaha gula aren di Desa Matolele, Parigi Tengah, Kabupaten Parigi Moutong. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah Break Event Point dan Margin of safety. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata produksi gula aren per bulan adalah 248 kg dengan harga jual Rp 17.000/kg, menghasilkan pendapatan rata-rata Rp 2.015.800/bulan. Analisis Break Event Point menunjukkan titik impas produksi sebesar 100,91 kg atau Rp 1.715.611/bulan. Margin of Safety mencapai 98%, Artinya selama penjualan tidak menurun lebih dari 98 % atau sampai dengan 98 % dari tingkat penjualan yang diharapkan, maka usaha gula aren pada bulan januari sampai desember 2023 akan memperoleh laba.Temuan ini memberikan wawasan bagi pengrajin gula aren untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi dan memaksimalkan keuntungan.

Abstract

Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) pengrajin gula aren Desa Tuwa, Kecamatan Gumbasa, Kabupaten Sigi, membantu kurangi kemiskinan. Penelitian bertujuan mengukur pendapatan produksi gula aren di sana, untuk informasi kebijakan pemerintah dan pengusaha. Ini akan berkontribusi pada pengembangan usaha gula aren serta menjadi acuan bagi peneliti terkait Penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling untuk pemilihan lokasi serta sampling jenuh untuk pemilihan responden. Total 15 pengrajin gula aren di Desa Tuwa, Kecamatan Gumbasa, Kabupaten Sigi, dijadikan sampel. Metode ini memberikan gambaran yang representatif tentang kondisi usaha gula aren di wilayah tersebut. Pendapatan rata-rata dari satu kali produksi gula aren di Desa Tuwa, Kecamatan Gumbasa, Kabupaten Sigi, mencapai Rp. 1.436.541. Nilai R/C usaha gula aren di sana sebesar 2,98, menandakan keuntungan yang signifikan dan berkelanjutan, memperkuat kesimpulan bahwa usaha produksi gula aren di wilayah tersebut menguntungkan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terhadap pengrajin gula aren di Desa Tuwa, Kecamatan Gumbasa, Kabupaten Sigi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendapatan rata-rata dari satu kali produksi gula aren mencapai Rp. 1.436.541. Dengan nilai R/C sebesar 2,98, dapat disimpulkan bahwa usaha produksi gula aren di Desa Tuwa menghasilkan keuntungan yang signifikan dan berkelanjutan.
