Abstract

This study examines the use of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) methods for the automatic recognition and extraction of text from images of Identity Cards (KTP). The aim is to provide an effective solution to the problems of document forgery and duplication, particularly in the use of KTP as an identity verification tool. Utilizing the Tesseract library, this research involves preprocessing steps such as conversion to grayscale, perspective transformation, and noise reduction to enhance OCR accuracy. Testing was conducted with 50 different KTP images using Python programming, achieving an Optical Character Recognition accuracy rate of 91%. Additionally, tests conducted with a dataset of 50 KTP images containing NIK and name variables showed that all images were successfully detected with an accuracy rate of 90%. This study confirms that the OCR method is effective in reading text from KTP images in real-time, thus it can be implemented for automatic identity verification.

Abstract

This research constitutes a literature review employing a qualitative approach, analyzing scholarly articles, books, and other documents related to sustainable development. This article aims to summarize and analyze previous studies concerning sustainable development in the context of mathematics education, as well as strategies that can be employed to integrate the principles of sustainable education. Integrating the principles of sustainable development into education, including mathematics education, is crucial in fostering a more environmentally responsible society and promoting sustainability across all sectors. However, its implementation remains limited. Educators face various challenges, including a lack of time, resources, and understanding of sustainable education, along with a dearth of supportive teaching materials. The principles of sustainable development can serve as a framework for developing curricula and teaching practices that are more sustainable. Educators can select mathematical problems related to environmental or social issues, discuss relevant mathematical concepts in connection with these problems, and help students comprehend the impact of mathematical decisions on the environment and society. Integrating the principles of sustainable development into mathematics education not only aids in producing a generation with sustainable skills but also motivates students to learn mathematics in more engaging and meaningful ways. A learning approach centered around sustainable development can be an effective way to prepare students for a sustainable future. The article also underscores the necessity for curriculum development, training, and professional advancement for educators.

Abstract

AbstrakKemampuan untuk memanfaatkan teknologi digital menjadi sangat penting di era globalisasi dan kemajuan teknologi informasi saat ini, tidak hanya untuk individu tetapi juga untuk keberlangsungan berbagai sektor usaha dan industri. Menyadari pentingnya keterampilan digital, terutama di kalangan generasi muda, sekolah dipandang perlu mengintegrasikan pendidikan kewirausahaan dengan teknologi digital dalam kurikulum dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah SMA Kristen Palangka Raya. Terdapat beberapa permasalahan prioritas antara lain: kurangnya variasi kegiatan kewirausahaan yang dapat mengakomodir minat, bakat dan karakteristik siswa; kurangnya pengetahuan tentang pemanfaatan platform digital Canva untuk tujuan bisnis; kurangnya keterampilan tentang manajemen produksi suatu produk kewirausahaan berbasis digital. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan edukasi, berbagi pengetahuan kepada siswa dan guru tentang esensi kewirausahaan, pemanfaatan platform digital Canva untuk tujuan bisnis dan manajamen dasar kewirausahaan berbasis digital. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 23 orang siswa dan 4 orang guru sebagai peserta. Metode pelaksanaan melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan dengan teknik ceramah, tanya jawab, demonstrasi, tutorial dan praktik. Diperoleh hasil utama yaitu terjadinya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa sebanyak 38,28%. Sedangkan hasil tambahannya adalah terciptanya prototype produk yang bernilai jual dari para siswa. Kata kunci: pelatihan; kewirausahaan digital; canva; manajemen; minat kewirausahaan. AbstrackThe ability to utilize digital technology has become crucial in the era of globalization and the advancement of information technology today, not only for individuals but also for the sustainability of various business and industrial sectors. Recognizing the importance of digital skills, especially among the younger generation, schools are seen as needing to integrate entrepreneurship education with digital technology into the curriculum and extracurricular activities. The partner in this community service activity is SMA Kristen Palangka Raya. There are several priority issues, including: the lack of variety in entrepreneurship activities that can accommodate the interests, talents, and characteristics of students; the lack of knowledge about utilizing the digital platform Canva for business purposes; and the lack of skills in managing the production of a digital-based entrepreneurial product. Based on these issues, this community service activity aims to provide education, share knowledge with students and teachers about the essence of entrepreneurship, the utilization of the digital platform Canva for business purposes, and basic management of digital-based entrepreneurship. This activity involves 23 students and 4 teachers as participants. The implementation methods include training and mentoring through lectures, Q&A sessions, demonstrations, tutorials, and practice. The main result obtained is an increase in students' knowledge and skills by 38.28%. Meanwhile, the additional result is the creation of prototype products with market value by the students. Keywords: training; digital entrepreneurship; canva; management; entrepreneurial interest.

Abstract

Penyakit jantung masih menjadi salah satu penyebab kematian utama di dunia, sehingga diperlukan diagnosis dini yang akurat untuk mengurangi risiko yang ditimbulkan. Kemajuan teknologi machine learning memberikan peluang baru untuk membantu tenaga medis dalam memprediksi penyakit jantung secara lebih efisien dan tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dan membandingkan kinerja dua algoritma pembelajaran terawasi yang populer, yaitu Random Forest dan Gradient Boosting, dalam klasifikasi penyakit jantung. Dataset yang digunakan terdiri dari 1.000 baris data dengan sejumlah fitur yang merepresentasikan berbagai faktor risiko penyakit jantung. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan metrik akurasi, presisi, recall, dan F1-score. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Random Forest unggul dibandingkan Gradient Boosting dalam seluruh metrik evaluasi. Random Forest memperoleh akurasi sebesar 99,5%, sementara Gradient Boosting memperoleh 98,5%. Selain itu, Random Forest mencapai nilai sempurna (100%) pada presisi kelas 0, recall kelas 1, dan F1-score kelas 1, menunjukkan kemampuannya yang tinggi dalam klasifikasi penyakit jantung. Model yang dikembangkan ini memiliki potensi besar untuk diterapkan sebagai alat bantu pengambilan keputusan dalam sistem layanan kesehatan, terutama pada tahap skrining awal dan penilaian risiko pasien. Dengan mengidentifikasi pola dan fitur kunci yang berhubungan dengan penyakit jantung, model ini dapat mendukung tenaga medis dalam memberikan keputusan klinis yang lebih cepat dan tepat sasaran.
