Abstract

Zakat is an important instrument and plays a role in improving community welfare. The distribution of productive zakat properly and the use of technology in empowerment activities can support the improvement of the mustahiq economy. This study aims to analyze the distribution of productive zakat by Baitul Mal Aceh and the role of technology by mustahiq in improving welfare. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method by interviewing Baitul Mal Aceh, 40 productive zakat mustahiq and academics. The data obtained are explained using interactive techniques. The results of the study indicate that the business capital assistance program managed by Baitul Mal Aceh consists of 3 programs, namely mustahiq empowerment through the provision of ultra-micro capital, Zakat Family Development (ZFD) and mustahiq empowerment through partners. The three programs have not had a significant impact on improving the welfare of mustahiq. This is due to several things, namely mustahiq have not been able to develop their businesses, have not been maximized, lack of supervision and assistance to mustahiq businesses, and do not have a good mentoring concept. The use of technology that is not optimal is also an obstacle in improving the welfare of mustahiq. Therefore, comprehensive support is needed from various parties such as the government, society and other institutions that support the realization of productive zakat in improving the welfare of mustahiq.

Abstract

The micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector has become one of the significant drivers of economic development, job creation, and poverty alleviation. Government attention needs to be given as an important path for the progress of the community's economy so that their business performance has a positive impact on the sustainability of their business. In an era of rapid technological development, technology adoption is a necessity for business actors so that business growth and performance can be improved. Business expansion, competitive advantage, and consumer satisfaction can be improved by adopting technology. Further research needs to be carried out in order to analyze the development and sustainability of MSMEs by considering the contribution of government support and technology adoption. The strength of the MSME sector can support the community's economy so that the rate of economic growth and welfare levels increase. The results of this study can answer the challenge of the government's role in optimizing the progress of the MSME sector in Banda Aceh City.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Islamic values on domestic tourists’ intention to visit Aceh, with place identity as a potential moderating variable. Aceh’s strong Islamic character positions it as an attractive destination for Muslim tourists from Sumatra. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 119 respondents via questionnaire and analyzed using simple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Findings reveal that Islamic values have a significant positive effect on visit intention. Place identity also positively influences visit intention, but does not moderate the relationship between Islamic values and visit intention. These results indicate that Islamic values serve as a primary motivator for domestic tourists, while place identity exerts an independent effect on visit intention.
