Abstract

Soursop plant parts that are often used by the community, namely the fruit and leaves. Ripe soursop fruit is usually developed to produce juice and lunkhead products. Ripe soursop fruit contains vitamin C which is known to have a wrong function, namely to increase immunity, so that it can protect the body from pathogens. Soursop leaves are often used by the community in the form of a decoction of the leaves for traditional medicine. The research about antioxidant test on ethanol extract of soursop leaves (Annona muricata Linn) had been conducted using DPPH method (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhdirazyl). This research aims to indicate the antioxidant activity of soursop leaves. Samples were collected from Lambaro Skep, a region of Banda Aceh. Then, the sample was dried by air before macerated using ethanol 96%. After that, the filtrate is evaporated using rotary evaporator and concentrated again using a hairdryer. The concentrated extract is then tested for antioxidant activity using DPPH method at maximum wavelength of 517 nm. The result shows young soursop leaves extract has 14.462 ppm of IC50 value, while old soursop leaves extract has IC50 value of 9.626 ppm.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian pengembangan  soal-soal kimia materi hidrokarbon dan minyak bumi bermuatan nilai-nilai (Value based Questions-VBQs) untuk memperkokoh karakter siswa SMA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan soal-soal kimia SMA bermuatan nilai-nilai karakter. Nilai-nilai yang terdapat pada soal yang dikembangkan adalah  nilai-nilai: intelektual, spiritual, etika, estetika, sosial dan ekonomi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan melalui tahapan pendefinisian, analisis materi dan indikator (define), desain soal (design) dan pengembangan soal (develop). Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa SMAN 1 Banda Aceh kelas IX yang diambil secara purposive sampling dan jumlah siswa yang terlibat pada tahap diseminasi sebanyak 15 orang untuk melihat keberterimaan siswa terhadap soal. Soal yang telah dikembangkan divalidasi oleh pakar pendidikan kimia dan guru MGMP kimia kota Banda Aceh, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa soal yang dikembangkan layak untuk diujicobakan pada siswa. Rata-rata hasil penilaian kelayakan soal sebesar 87%. Hasil tanggapan keberterimaan soal oleh peserta didik menunjukkan persentase sangat setuju sebesar 30%, setuju 50%, tidak setuju 20% dan sangat tidak setuju 0%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan soal-soal bermuatan nilai yang dikembangkan dapat diterima oleh guru, layak diaplikasikan dan dipergunakan untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa. Perlu penelitian lanjutan untuk mengembangkan soal-soal bermuatan karakter bagi materi-materi ajar mata pelajaran kimia lainnya.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the increase in learning motivation, learning outcomes, learning activities, and student responses to blended learning on acid-base material through Quipper School. The research subjects of class XI MIA 1 students of SMAN 5 Banda Aceh for the 2021/2022 academic year are even semesters involving 32 students. The data collection technique uses a simple random sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were learning outcomes test questions, motivational questionnaire sheets, activity observation sheets, and student response questionnaire sheets.  Analysis of learning motivation data using motivational questionnaires adapted from MSLQ using a likert scale, learning outcomes data using LKPD and tests (pretest-postest), activity data using activity sheets and response data collected through questionnaire sheets. The results showed that there was a change in the previous 63.67%, learning motivation after the blended learning process, the students’ learning motivation became 68,15%, this happened in Quipper School-based blended learning. The average completeness of student learning is 80, including the very high category. The positive response of student to blended learning was 72.2%. The activities of students during blended learning get an average score of 95%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of blended learning can change learning motivation and exceed the KKM of student learning outcomes at SMAN 5 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of students' understanding of each indicator of the buffer solution material and to determine the most difficult indicator in understanding the buffer solution material using the Four-Tier Multiple Choice diagnostic test. This type of research uses a descriptive type of research using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were students of class XI Madrasah Aliyyah Swasta Darul Ihsan as many as 15 students who were selected using the simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used was the Four-Tier Multiple Choice diagnostic test instrument sheet and student interview sheets. The results of this study showed that the average percentage of students who understood the concept was 32.3%, did not understand the concept was 38.1%, misconception was 20.6% and the error was 9%. Based on this research, it was found that the most difficult indicator to understand is the indicator to determine the relationship between the buffer solution and the concept of chemical equation and the indicator to calculate the pH of the acid buffer solution. So it can be concluded that the students of class XI Madrasah Aliyyah Private Darul Ihsan have difficulty in understanding the material of the buffer solution.

Abstract

This study aims to observe activities, learning outcomes and describe students' responses to blended learning on the concept of reaction rate. This is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were 29 USK Chemistry Education students who programmed the Basic Chemistry II course in class 02 of the 2018/2019 academic year. Data were collected through tests, observations and questionnaires. The instruments used in this study were learning outcomes test questions, student activity observation sheets and student response questionnaires. The results of observation of student activities are categorized as very good, learning outcomes are included in the good category with a score of 73.7. The application of blended learning received positive responses (71.7%). Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the application of blended learning on the reaction rate material had a positive impact on learning activities and outcomes and received good responses from students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze student learning outcomes, describe student activities and describe student responses after the application of the learning together model on the material of molecular form at SMA Negeri 1 Krueng Barona Jaya. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The population in this study were students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Krueng Barona Jaya. Data were collected by observing student activities, learning outcomes tests and filling out student response questionnaires. The results of the percentage of student activity from the first meeting to the third meeting in a row, namely 71%, 84% and 85% showed that the activity of students increased significantly. The percentages of learning outcomes at the first to third meetings were 67.50%, 77.50% and 87.50% which showed an increase and classical mastery achievement. Students showed a positive response to the application of the learning together model on the material in the form of molecules with a percentage of 94.07%. The learning together model can improve students' activities and learning outcomes. Students are enthusiastic in participating in learning using the learning together model and most of them give a positive response.

Abstract

The activity of using mercury in gold mining in Alue Baro Village, Meukek District is carried out freely so that it has a negative impact on the environment and the health of the miners. This study aims to determine the level of mercury in the hair of artisanal gold miners in Alue Baro village by referring to the reference that has been set by WHO. The data sample collection was carried out by taking 6 hair samples from the Alue Baro village gold miners who were selected with various types of work, namely gold processing, waste processing and waste waste until the time of the interview with a minimum working period of 1 year with sample codes R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 as control samples. The six samples were analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry equipped with a Mercury Analyzer which showed results, respectively, 1.01; 2.38; 1.65; 1.35; 1.66; and 0.64 ppm. The results of this study indicate that all hair samples have mercury levels above the mercury threshold that has been set by WHO, namely 1 ppm. High levels of mercury in hair samples were analyzed on exposure to mercury. Further research was conducted to analyze other metals contained in the hair of gold miners in Alue Baro village

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kendala pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring pada pelajaran kimia tingkat SMAN di tiga sekolah kota Banda Aceh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh guru kimia yang mengajar kelas XI dan peserta didik kelas XI di SMAN yang berada di Kota Banda Aceh. Sampel penelitian adalah 5 orang guru kimia yang mengajar kelas XI dan 75 orang peserta didik kelas XI yang terdiri dari 2 orang guru kimia dan 30 orang peserta didik kelas XI dari masing-masing SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh dan SMA Negeri 12 Banda Aceh, serta 1 orang guru kimia dan 15 orang peserta didik kelas XI di SMA Negeri 16 Banda Aceh. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data berpedoman pada teknik analisis Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kimia secara daring dilakukan sesuai jadwal masing-masing sekolah. Aplikasi yang digunakan pada pembelajaran daring adalah WhatsApp, Microsoft Office 365, dan Zoom. Berdasarkan analisis angket kendala pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring yaitu peserta didik sulit memahami materi kimia secara daring (86%), jaringan internet kurang stabil (76%), terbatasnya kuota internet (68%), kurangnya waktu diskusi dengan guru (66%), tugas yang harus diselesaikan terlalu banyak (64%), kesulitan dalam menggunakan aplikasi (60%), materi yang diberikan guru tidak lengkap (59%), menghabiskan banyak waktu (59%), kesulitan dalam menggunakan aplikasi (57%). Kendala pembelajaran daring lainnya yaitu peserta didik kurang antusias mengikuti pembelajaran daring, guru sulit mengkoordinir peserta didik, dan guru sulit menilai peserta didik secara objektif. Secara keseluruhan pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring sudah berjalan dengan baik sesuai arahan dari kebijakan pemerintah meskipun masih terdapat beberapa kendala dalam pelaksanaannya.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran daring, kendala, kimia, aplikasi

Abstract

AbstrakTelah dilakukan penelitian yang berjudul Pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW) Pada Materi Hukum-hukum Dasar Kimia di Kelas X SMAN 1 Krueng Barona Jaya Kabupaten Aceh Besar Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil belajar, aktitivitas, dan respon siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran TTW. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA-3 SMAN 1 Krueng Barona Jaya yang berjumlah 18 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, tes hasil belajar, dan angket respon siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal adalah 89%. Persentase keaktifan siswa pada pertemuan pertama 86%, sedangkan pada pertemuan kedua persentase keaktifan siswa adalah 93%. Hasil tanggapan positif siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran TTW adalah sebesar 90%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data aktivitas, hasil belajar, dan tanggapan siswa, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran TTW dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMAN 1 Krueng Barona Jaya pada materi Hukum-hukum Dasar Kimia.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ketuntasan belajar siswa pada materi hidrokarbon ditinjau dari segi motivasi dan minat belajar siswa. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif model one group pretest posttest design. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA2 SMAN 1 Baitussalam yang berjumlah 21 siswa yang terdiri dari 7 orang laki-laki dan 14 orang perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi aktivitas, pemberian angket dan tes. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, lembar angket dan soal tes pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas siswa meningkat dari pertemuan I sebesar 87%, pertemuan II sebesar 87,50%, hingga pertemuan III sebesar 89,16%. Berdasarkan hasil angket, motivasi siswa tergolong baik dengan persentase sebesar 78,96% dan persentase minat siswa sebesar 82,37% tergolong baik sekali. Hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan model ARCS memiliki ketuntasan sebesar 80,95%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan penerapan model ARCS hasil belajar siswa cukup tinggi, motivasi dan minat siswa terhadap pembelajaran juga tergolong baik.Kata Kunci: ARCS, Ketuntasan Belajar, Hidrokarbon, Motivasi, Minat AbstractThe purpose of research was to improve mastery of students learning on material of hydrocarbon in termmotivation and interest. Quantitative approach with type of descriptive was chosen to the research by modeling of one group pretest posttest design. The subject of the research was 21 students in classroom XI IPA 2 at State Senior High School Baitussalam, which is 7 of male students and 14 of female students. Data were collected by observed the activities, giving of questionnaire and holding of test. In consequence, instrumentations used for the research were observation sheet, questionnaire, and multiple choice questions. The result showed that activities was slightly increased from meeting I with a percentage of 87%, meeting II with a percentage of 87.05% and meeting III with a percentage of 89.16%. According to questionnaire, students motivation was good with a percentage of 78.96% and students interest was very good with a percentage of 82.37%. Then, learning outcomes of students by using model of ARCS have mastery with a percentage of 80.95%. Therefore, it can be concluded that using of ARCS can improve not only learning outcomes, but also motivation and interest of students.Keywords: ARCS, mastery of learning, hydrocarbon, motivation, interest
