Abstract

Isu permasalahan lingkungan adalah sesuatu yang urgen untuk dibahas dan ditangani karena kualitas lingkungan akan secara langsung mempengaruhi kualitas hidup manusia dan kehidupan generasi yang akan datang. Indonesia sebagai negara dengan mayoritas muslim terbesar di dunia, memiliki masjid yang tidak hanya bisa dipergunakan sebagai fasilitas ibadah tradisional, tetapi juga dapat memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk kesadaran lingkungan dan mendorong tindakan berkelanjutan (environmental sustainability). Namun, banyak pengurus masjid yang belum menyadari bahwa masjid dapat menjadi bagian dalam mendidik masyarakat tentang isu-isu lingkungan dan keberlanjutan yaitu melalui program Eco-Masjid. Program Eco-Masjid bertujuan untuk mengubah masjid dari pusat ibadah tradisional menjadi pusat inovasi berkelanjutan yang mendukung terwujudnya konsep “green campus” dan “green economy” di masa depan. Melalui metode Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), pengabdian ini telah berhasil mengatasi beberapa permasalahan utama yang dihadapi oleh masjid terkait pengelolaan sumber daya dan kesadaran lingkungan. Pengabdian ini juga berhasil memberdayakan komunitas masjid dengan memaksimalkan potensi yang ada untuk mencapai tujuan bersama.

Abstract

The life of the Islamic boarding school causes many phenomena related to psychology, especially in adolescents. The psychological well-being of adolescents who study in Islamic boarding schools is more complex because they are required to be independent and must adapt quickly. The purpose of this Community Service is to increase insight and understanding of themselves and improve adolescent skills in understanding themselves so that it has an impact on improving adolescent mental health. The methods used are providing training (workshops), pretests, posttests, and screening on adolescent mental health. The participants of this training were 36 students of the Baitul Arqam Muhammadiyah Sibreh Islamic Boarding School, Aceh Besar. This training is expected to help students improve their self-understanding skills through self-love. From this understanding, students can improve their mental health as students who are required to have many tasks in their daily lives in the Islamic boarding school environment. From the results of the pretest and posttest, it was found that there was no increase in understanding of self-love if the training was not carried out periodically. Meanwhile, from the results of the mental health screening, there were several subjects who needed the help of psychologists to help the subjects solve mental health problems. The output of this community service is in the form of mapping the health levels of adolescent students at Islamic boarding schools and publication of scientific journals

Abstract

Self-regulation is an individual's ability to manage thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors to meet the standards and goals they aim for as evidence of self-improvement. This ability is particularly essential for Qur'an memorization students (santri tahfidz), who not only study general subjects but also have to memorize the Qur'an. The objective of this study is to examine the influence of self-regulation on academic stress among Qur'an memorization students at Madrasah Aliyah Ulumul Qur’an Pagar Air. The research method used is quantitative. The subjects in this study consist of 146 students from Madrasah Aliyah Ulumul Qur’an Pagar Air, with the sample selected using a probability sampling technique, specifically simple random sampling. Data collection was conducted using the Likert scale method by distributing questionnaires to the research subjects. Data analysis was carried out using a simple linear regression test. The results showed that there is an influence of self-regulation on academic stress among Qur'an memorization students at Madrasah Aliyah Ulumul Qur’an Pagar Air, with an R Square value of 0.276, an F value of 55.028, and a significance value of 0.000. The influence of self-regulation on academic stress among these students is 27.6%. The aspect of self-regulation that has the highest impact on academic stress in this study is self-reflection.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education Programs teachers (PAUD) should have high creativity in developing their students' teaching competence, this is because PAUD students have very high imagination. However, the limited knowledge and teaching facilities of PAUD teachers, especially those who teach in the regions, mean that PAUD teachers run out of ideas for developing teaching creativity. One of the teaching competencies of PAUD teachers is providing interesting and fun learning media for students. Several types of training that have been provided by teachers have only been attended by representatives from each PAUD, so that the information and knowledge obtained is not evenly shared by all PAUD teachers in the region. Referring to this problem, the community service activity that will be carried out is to create an innovation training in making learning media for early reading cards (flashcards) to improve the competence of teaching early reading for PAUD teachers. The location of this activity will be in Lampanah Teungoh Village, Aceh Besar. The output target to be achieved is that teachers master the material well, understand the material and are able to apply it to students. Apart from that, participants are able to create their own early reading learning media and are able to teach it to students. Keywords: Teaching Competency; PAUD Teacher; Learning Media; Early Reading

Abstract

Mental health is a crucial aspect in developing individuals who are emotionally, psychologically, and socially healthy, especially during adolescence, a vulnerable period for mental disorders. Pesantren, as boarding-based educational institutions, face high stress levels, compounded by low mental health literacy and social stigma that hinder help-seeking behavior. Based on initial screening at Pesantren Baitul Arqam Sibreh, most santri showed limited understanding of mental health and emotional management skills. This community service was conducted through an educational workshop using a participatory learning approach for 32 santri. Activities included a pre-test, interactive material delivery, educational games, and a post-test. Evaluation results indicated improved understanding and positive attitudes toward mental health, with 85% of participants showing significant change. This activity effectively increased mental health literacy and encouraged openness and help-seeking. In conclusion, the socialization plays an important role in creating a more supportive pesantren environment and serves as a foundation for further programs promoting and preventing mental health issues among santri. Keywords: mental health, mental health literacy, santri, pesantren, mental health promotion

Abstract

Higher education represents a crucial stage in an individual’s life, as students acquire skills, knowledge, and experiences that strongly influence their future direction. In the context of global competition and increasingly complex social demands, universities are required not only to focus on academic achievement but also to pay attention to non-academic factors that significantly shape student satisfaction and success. One of these factors is student place attachment, which refers to the emotional bond formed through experiences, social interactions, and the physical environment of the campus. This study aimed to examine the extent of student attachment to Campus X and to analyze the differences between students’ expectations before entering the university and the reality they experienced afterward. The research employed a quantitative approach with a sample of 257 students selected through simple random sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire covering affective, cognitive, and behavioral dimensions. The results revealed a significant difference between students’ initial expectations and their actual experiences, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings suggest that students’ place attachment is influenced by the quality of facilities, social interactions, and academic experiences. The study is expected to provide strategic insights for university management in strengthening students’ sense of belonging, loyalty, and overall satisfaction. ABSTRAKPendidikan tinggi merupakan fase krusial dalam kehidupan individu, karena pada tahap ini mahasiswa memperoleh keterampilan, pengetahuan, serta pengalaman yang akan memengaruhi arah masa depan mereka. Dalam konteks persaingan global dan kompleksitas tuntutan sosial, perguruan tinggi dituntut untuk tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek akademik, tetapi juga memperhatikan faktor non-akademis yang berperan penting dalam kepuasan dan keberhasilan mahasiswa. Salah satu faktor tersebut adalah keterikatan mahasiswa terhadap kampus (place attachment), yaitu ikatan emosional yang terbentuk melalui pengalaman, interaksi sosial, serta kondisi lingkungan fisik kampus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana keterikatan mahasiswa terhadap Kampus X serta menganalisis perbedaan ekspektasi mahasiswa sebelum dan setelah mereka menjadi bagian dari kampus. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan sampel 257 mahasiswa yang dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner yang mencakup dimensi afektif, kognitif, dan perilaku. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara harapan mahasiswa sebelum masuk kampus dan kenyataan yang dialami setelah kuliah, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa place attachment mahasiswa terhadap kampus dipengaruhi oleh kualitas fasilitas, interaksi sosial, dan pengalaman akademik. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan strategis bagi pengelola perguruan tinggi dalam meningkatkan rasa memiliki, loyalitas, dan kepuasan mahasiswa.

Abstract

Strengthening and building character must start from an early age. Character education, both formal and informal, is one way to build quality human character. The purpose of this study is to provide an alternative method of developing and strengthening children's character through nature activities in the Kids Survivor program. Mix Method (quantitative and qualitative) was used to determine the effectiveness of the Kids Survivor program. Based on the test, it was found that each subject had an increased score from before participating in Kids Survivor. Every child experienced improvement in every aspect of character. The conclusion of this study is that activities like the Kids Survivor Program contribute to the formation of children's characters. Each child displayed different scores in changes in aspects of character caused by parenting factors and values believed in the family which had been obtained before joining the program. Parenting patterns, experiences throughout a child's development, as well as values that are believed and planted since childhood will slowly shape the child's character.
