Abstract

The pension program provider requires actuarial valuation to estimate the necessary fund amount for pension payments. This research employs the projected unit credit and individual level premium methods. The findings indicate that the valuation of pension benefits, assuming a career average salary, is lower compared to other salary assumptions. Conversely, the final valuation of project unit credit using the individual level premium method is smaller than that of the projected unit credit method, which is more suitable for participants in the pension funding program. A pension fund program represents a form of future planning aimed at ensuring the well-being of employees during retirement. It embodies a company's responsibility towards employees who have dedicated themselves during their working years. Such a program offers a sense of security regarding an employee's financial future post-retirement and fosters peace of mind, knowing that their well-being in old age is assured.

Abstract

Tug of war is a folk game that uses a mining tool (rope). How to play a team with 2 teams facing each other. Each team consists of 3 or more people, who face each other holding the mine to be pulled. This tug-of-war competition activity is to train body strength, teamwork and cohesiveness. Once the second mark on the rope from the center red mark crosses the center line, the team that pulls the rope to their area wins the game. In this tug of war game there are many styles, including: Frictional Force, Tensile Force, Gravitational Force, and Muscular Force. This paper aims to study the physical forces of tug of war with a mathematical model based on the physical phenomena that exist in the game of tug of war. This model is created by considering tug of war as two objects connected by a rope. The analysis is done by considering the forces acting in the model. The results show that if after being pulled with a force F, the object moves to the right with an acceleration of a, then the acceleration of the object is based on the equation of motion according to Newton's law.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimal stock portfolio allocation using the Mean-Semi Standard Deviation optimization model as an alternative to the more commonly used Mean-Variance model. The Mean-Semi Standard Deviation model considers downside risk, which is more relevant to investors' preferences in minimizing potential losses. The data used in this study consists of daily closing prices of five stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BBNI, BBCA, BMRI, TLKM, and ANTM) from December 7, 2023, to December 6, 2024. The optimization process was conducted using the Lagrange method to maximize the portfolio's expected return with controlled risk, incorporating a risk aversion parameter (ro) to adjust for investor preferences. The results show that the portfolio with a risk aversion value of ro=0.1 provides the highest return-to-risk ratio of 0.058556, with the largest portfolio weight allocated to BBCA stock. The findings suggest that the Mean-Semi Standard Deviation model can serve as a more effective approach to portfolio management in the Indonesian stock market, particularly in reducing downside risk amid high market volatility.

Abstract

Statistical data shows that the Indonesian capital market has experienced significant growth. This growth is attributed to public awareness of the benefits of stock investments. However, with an increasing number of new investors entering the stock market, attention to investment risks deepens. Many investors prefer stocks that are easily predictable and have low risk, as higher volatility increases the level of uncertainty in obtaining returns. The relatively high risk level in investing requires investors to minimize risks, one of which is by diversifying funds into various investment assets, commonly known as optimal portfolio selection. An optimal portfolio can be formed using various methods and approaches. One method for portfolio selection is the application of the Safety First Criterion, a method dependent on downside risk, referring to risks that result in losses. This article conducts a simulation of the implementation of Roy's Safety First Criterion using stock data from the largest companies in eleven sectors over the past year. These sectors include basic materials, communication services, consumer cyclical, consumer defensive, energy, financial services, healthcare, real estate, technology, and utilities. Based on this analysis, out of the eleven stocks, six stocks meet Roy's criteria: LIN, GOOG, AMZN, BRK-B, LLY, and AAPL, with respective weights of LIN=10.84%, GOOG=12.61%, AMZN=24.67%, BRK-B=1.37%, LLY=34.17%, and AAPL=16.35%. Using Roy's Safety First Criterion for selected stocks from various sectors indicates that the resulting portfolio has a very low risk level, specifically 1%. This means that by using the portfolio obtained from the eleven stocks, investors can achieve minimal risk, making this portfolio secure for new investors.

Abstract

If there is political behavior on the part of the village community, political socialization, and effective political communication from the candidates to the village head regarding the vision and mission or work program to be implemented, village community political engagement will move smoothly. Application the day before the village head election, political outreach by candidates was typically conducted at a distance and frequently ignored political ethics, such as money politics and terror plots. The majority of candidates for village, heads have a good chance of winning the election since they generally have compact, powerful, and familial networks. Politically powerful individuals typically run for village head positions. Villagers can participate in Pilkades in addition to carrying out activities by becoming campaigners (Jurkam) for one of the village head candidates and disseminating programs that will be achieved, joining active interest groups and supporting one of the village head candidates, getting involved in social programs or village social projects, such as promoting programs that will be achieved and carrying out activities in Pilkades. The findings of study conducted through interviews show how crucial it is to educate and socialise citizens about politics, especially those who must vote. Political activities such as political socialisation and political education can be used in efforts to preserve the political system. The two political communication activities serve as a method for influencing the attitudes and actions of future system recipients and successors. Political socialisation, which aims to influence, alter, and mould attitudes and behaviour based on ideals that are deemed right and beneficial to human life, is frequently linked with political education.

Abstract

Regional autonomy in the context of the unitary state of Indonesia is a phenomenon based on constitutional foundations, especially Article 18 paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution. This discussion examines the regional household system, parameters for measuring regional autonomy, as well as the rationality and arguments supporting decentralization. The regional household system, consisting of material, formal and real, raises considerations regarding the granting of autonomous rights to regions. The measurement parameters involve authority quotas, supervision systems, methods for selecting regional heads, and the process of making regional regulations, but further clarification is needed. The rationality of regional autonomy includes efficiency, political education instruments, strengthening political stability, political equality, preparation for political careers, and accuracy of development planning. Arguments supporting decentralization highlight the prevention of accumulation of power, popular participation, government efficiency, adaptation to regional specificities, and direct assistance for development. Strengthening regional autonomy requires regulatory capabilities, adjustments to national regulations, local political support, financial resources, and human resource development. This research reflects efforts to understand, evaluate and strengthen regional autonomy systems to support regional development and national stability.

Abstract

The development of cultural arts tourism as a sustainable tourism destination is a priority considering the features and nature of these locations, which highlight a number of elements such the local economy, environment, culture, preservation, and community empowerment. One of the cultural tourism areas in Indonesia, to be precise the province of West Java, namely Kampung Ladang in Sumedang Regency which is located at the top of Pasir Peti hill - Marga Laksana Sumedang Village. Kampung Ladang is one of Sumedang's cultural tourism centres by collaborating with the local community to maintain and preserve traditional Sundanese culture and procedures, especially Sumedang culture and traditions. This research uses qualitative methods and uses IFAS / EFAS and SWOT Analysis which aims to identify the potentials developed by Kampung Ladang with data collection carried out by observation, indepth interviews, and documentaries. The results of this study indicate that Kampung Ladang has three potentials that are ready to be developed in attracting tourists to visit such as potentials that need to be improved, namely attractions and activities, external supporting potentials, namely accessibility infrastructure consisting of information boards and other supporting facilities, and potentials that are not yet available, namely the provision of tour packages through marketing and promotion strategies that can attract tourists to visit and can develop community-based sustainable tourism that is community-centred to improve community welfare, besides that government support is needed in carrying out development and maintenance. In order to meet the needs of travellers, businesses, the environment, and tourism management communities, among other stakeholders, sustainable tourism management is a type of tourism management that will play a significant role in both the present and the future economic and social conditions.
