Abstract

The phenomenon of the Hallyu Wave, particularly through Korean dramas (K-dramas), has become a significant global cultural current that shapes teenagers' lifestyles and communication patterns. In Indonesia, K-dramas are not only consumed as entertainment but also function as cultural references in constructing interpersonal relationships, especially in the romantic domain. This study aims to analyze the influence of K-dramas on the romantic communication patterns of Indonesian adolescents, focusing on the forms of communication adopted and the negotiation process with local cultural values. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation with adolescents aged 15–19 years in Bandung who actively consume K-dramas. The data were analyzed using Miles & Huberman's interactive analysis model, which includes stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal three main forms of romantic communication influenced by K-dramas: (1) verbal communication, reflected in the adoption of terms of endearment such as oppa, yeobo, “sayang,” and “beb,” which illustrates linguistic hybridity; (2) nonverbal communication, such as holding hands, hugs, and meaningful gazes, although adapted to Indonesian norms of politeness and social boundaries; and (3) digital expressions, including emoticons, stickers, and K-drama quotes, which function both as symbols of affection and as markers of engagement with global popular culture. This study also finds a process of cultural negotiation in which adolescents selectively adapt Korean romantic communication styles to fit Indonesian collectivist values. The impact is twofold: positively, it enriches emotional vocabulary, fosters sensitivity, and promotes cross-cultural openness; Negatively, it risks creating unrealistic expectations and undermining local cultural expressions. In conclusion, Indonesian adolescents' romantic communication patterns represent a hybrid form resulting from the dynamic interaction between global influences and local values. Adolescents are not passive consumers but active agents who internalize, adapt, and negotiate popular culture in shaping their interpersonal communication practices.

Abstract

The interest rate is seen as a random variable because the interest rate has an unpredictable nature or changes over time. This means that the interest rate cannot be anticipated in the future with a certain degree of certainty. Therefore, mathematical models are needed to predict the behavior and value of future interest rates. The models used in this study were interest rate, uniform distribution , and lognormal distribution. The data used in the study were interest rate data for 2014-2015 and sample data for uniform distribution. The resulting model in interest rate modeling as a random variable uses for uniform and lognormal distributions with the application of data and . The interest rate model as a uniformly distributed random variable is considered better with a smaller standard deviation, , and values compared to the lognormal distribution based on the data used.

Abstract

Legal education about justice for women and children is an important step in understanding the Cijeruk Hamlet community about the rights and obligations of women and children in a legal context. This activity aims to fill this gap in understanding and increase understanding about the equal rights and obligations of women and children. In this activity, Article 30 of Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage was socialized as a legal basis that guarantees equal rights for women and children. This activity also involved PKK women in Cijeruk Village, who have an important role in spreading information and understanding about justice for women and children in their environment. In addition, group counseling is carried out to provide opportunities for group members to share knowledge and experiences in overcoming family problems. The result of this legal education activity is an increase in public awareness, especially PKK women, about the rights and obligations of women and children under the law. The impact is the formation of a women's group that cares about justice for women and children.

Abstract

In an era of global economic uncertainty, mastering the concept of portfolio management is important for students in preparing themselves to face the challenges of the financial world. This study aims to design financial mathematics learning by integrating Markowitz's portfolio theory and technology-based stock investment simulation practices. The approach used includes the use of digital platforms to obtain historical stock data and stock market simulations for virtual investment practices. The results of the study indicate that the use of this method can improve students' understanding of the concepts of diversification, expected returns, and risk management in investment portfolios. With an interactive and practical approach, students can gain direct experience in building an optimal portfolio based on the Markowitz mean-variance model and implementing it in stock investment simulations. This study makes a significant contribution to the development of students' financial literacy by utilizing digital technology effectively.

Abstract

The trajectory of literature concerning renewable energy infrastructure has evolved substantially in recent decades, reflecting the escalating significance of renewable energy sources within the broader context of the global energy scene. A noticeable shift towards integrating renewable energy infrastructure into shopping malls has emerged in recent years, marking a broader movement towards sustainability and environmental accountability within the commercial sector. Historically, shopping malls have been significant energy consumers, heavily reliant on conventional sources like fossil fuels to meet their lighting, heating, and cooling needs. Yet, escalating concerns over climate change and energy expenses have increasingly prompted mall developers and operators to adopt renewable energy solutions. By incorporating solar panels, wind turbines, and geothermal systems, shopping malls can substantially diminish their carbon footprint, reduce energy costs, and bolster their environmental standing. Furthermore, this inclination aligns with corporate social responsibility efforts, as malls strive to underscore their dedication to sustainability and attract environmentally conscious patrons. Bolstered by governmental incentives and regulatory frameworks encouraging renewable energy adoption, the trajectory of renewable energy infrastructure in shopping malls in Pasar Gedhe Klaten, Indonesia, is anticipated to persist, delivering both environmental benefits and economic gains for stakeholders.

Abstract

Sidoarjo is a buffer city in Surabaya and is a comfortable and livable city. To become a livable city, a city needs several life-supporting infrastructures, including drainage infrastructure. A drainage system that is managed and maintained properly can carry out its functions optimally. But of course, many housing developments do not pay attention to the drainage system, which can cause problems such as flooding. Floods are the most frequent natural disasters in Indonesia. Flooding is a situation where an area is inundated with large amounts of water. The occurrence of floods can be predicted by paying attention to the amount of rainfall and water discharge. However, strong winds or leaking embankments can cause sudden floods which are usually called flash floods. The causes of flooding include heavy rain. The earth's surface is lower than sea level. This area is a delta which has low water absorption capacity. Construction of buildings along riverbanks. The river flow is uneven because it is blocked by rubbish and lack of land cover in upstream areas. Even if you live in a flood-free area, everyone should be aware of the potential for this natural disaster. Floods are the release of river water that is relatively larger than usual, resulting in overflowing river water that fills and inundates low-lying areas.

Abstract

Socialization activities on composting practices by utilizing household waste as an effort to take advantage of potential and protect the surrounding environment. This activity was carried out at  Junior High School 2 Jatinangorwith the aim of creating a mindset for productive behavior and an entrepreneurial spirit from the production of compost which has high economic value. The method of implementing community service activities is carried out with training that produces skills, lecture methods, questions and answers, discussions, simulations and mentoring. The results of the activity revealed that the implementation of this composting activity was recognized by some students as an easy, simple, and beneficial practice for greening the environment. Socialization of making compost provides great benefits, namely an increase in students' knowledge about the benefits of organic waste residue as raw material for making compost. With this activity it is hoped that the impact will affect students' desire to always protect the environment and be able to apply it at home and in the environment around where they live in stages.
