Abstract

The culinary MSME sector in Desa Prima Gayatri, Bangunjiwo, Kasihan, Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region, faces challenges due to unappealing packaging designs, resulting in low consumer interest and limited product competitiveness. This issue arises from the lack of understanding and digital design skills among business owners in creating professional packaging. This community service program aims to train MSME owners to design their product packaging independently using free digital platforms. The smart packaging design approach was implemented to enhance packaging aesthetics, strengthen branding, and increase product value. The training was conducted systematically through several stages, including a needs assessment survey, module development, theoretical and practical training sessions, and evaluation through questionnaires and post-training monitoring. The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in participants' abilities. Based on data from 22 respondents, digital design skills increased by 81%, with an average score of 4.45 out of 5. Participant satisfaction with the training materials and methods was also high, with an average score of 4.59, and 95.45% of participants agreed that the training effectively addressed their challenges. Participants successfully created new packaging designs that were more attractive and professional, enhancing product image and consumer interest.

Abstract

Financial management system and wood inventory at UD. Anugrah Limbah often faces problems that can affect operational efficiency and accuracy. Problems that arise include the fact that financial recording and wood inventory is still done manually, making it vulnerable to double recording, miscalculations or loss of data as well as other problems. This research discusses the application of the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method in developing financial and wood inventory management applications. The aim of this research is to design and implement an application that can increase efficiency and accuracy in managing finances and wood supplies at UD. Anugrah Limbah. The Rapid Application Development method was chosen because of its advantages in accelerating the application development process through an iterative and collaborative approach, which allows end users to actively participate in every stage of development. The research results show that by using the Rapid Application Development method, applications can be developed in a shorter time with quality maintained. The resulting application has features such as recording financial transactions, monitoring wood supplies, and reporting that is integrated and easy to access.

Abstract

Batik has become a cultural identity for Indonesian people. Madura Island also has cultural richness in the form of Madurese batik which is still preserved to this day, inseparable from the batik civilization of Tanjungbumi Village, Bangkalan Regency. This research is aim to identify the process of civilizing process of women's batik as the cultural capital of Madurese batik craftsmen in Tanjungbumi Village. This research conducted in Tanjungbumi Village in August 2023. The research method used qualitative research. Techniques through observation and interviews with purposive sampling. This research is very important and useful for stakeholders in formulating policies for developing the Madurese batik business in Tanjungbumi Village, Bangkalan Regency. The results of the study shows that the process of civilizing process of batik according to Norbert Elias can take place through two processes, namely psychogenesis and sociogenesis. First, psychogenesis can be understood through batik techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation by families. The philosophical meaning of batik as basic knowledge through the family is then internalized by batik makers in producing batik. The value of tenacity and patience inherent in women as part of the sociogenesis of batik making needs to be owned and produced repeatedly. Second, sociogenesis takes place as a reinforcement of the social construction that women are still synonymous with batik. Third, this civilization process will become cultural capital that can be maintained, including through the social institutions of the family, batik community and government through batik development training in Tanjungbumi Village, Bangkalan

Abstract

Abstract

Illegal drug abuse remains a serious problem that requires analytical approaches with a high level of accuracy. In developing classification models, the imbalance in the amount of data between classes is often a major obstacle because it can cause the model to tend to classify data into the majority class. This study aims to improve accuracy and balance classification performance in identifying illegal drug users by applying a combination of the Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE) and the Random Forest algorithm. This study utilized the Drug Consumption dataset obtained from the UCI Machine Learning Repository with a total of 1,885 data points. The dataset was converted into a binary classification form, namely heroin users and non-users. Next, the data was divided into 75% training data and 25% testing data using a random sampling method. To address the problem of class imbalance, the SMOTE technique was applied to the training data to synthetically increase the number of data in the minority class. The balanced data was then processed using the Random Forest algorithm as a classification method. Model performance evaluation was carried out by comparing the classification results before and after the SMOTE application using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The test results show that the application of SMOTE to Random Forest provides better performance improvements compared to the model without SMOTE. The accuracy value increased from 0.90 to 0.91, precision from 0.89 to 0.90, recall from 0.90 to 0.91, and F1-score from 0.89 to 0.90. This improvement reflects the model's more optimal ability to detect minority classes, thus minimizing bias towards the majority class. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the combination of SMOTE and Random Forest is effective in addressing imbalanced data issues and improving the overall classification performance of illegal drug users.
