Abstract

Perusahaan pupuk di Indonesia didirikan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pertanian dan pangan nasional. Untuk menunjang pelayanan distribusi maupun proses, sistem perpipaan di dalamnya didesain dengan memperhatikan performanya, termasuk pada proteksi katodiknya. Pada salah satu pabrik di perusahaan pupuk yang diteliti sedang memiliki permasalahan proteksi katodik sehingga membutuhkan pergantian sistem proteksi dari SACP yang sudah ada menjadi ICCP. Mengacu pada penelitian sebelumnya dan berdasarkan kondisi area yang sudah ada, variasi penempatan groundbed dapat dilakukan untuk dianalisa mana yang paling tepat digunakan untuk sistem perpipaan di perusahaan pupuk tersebut. Sebanyak 5 titik lokasi telah dipilih berdasarkan pertimbangan kondisi area sesuai dengan sketsa terlampir. Langkah pertama adalah melakukan perhitungan teknis pada masing-masing variasi, kemudian melakukan perencanaan proyek yang selanjutnya dianalisa keunggulan dari hasil perhitungannya. Dari hasil perhitungan yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem ICCP dengan menggunakan 2 groundbed tipe 3 adalah yang paling efektif digunakan untuk sistem perpipaan eksisting pada pabrik yang diteliti karena memiliki keunggulan terbanyak dibandingkan variasi yang lain.

Abstract

In this paper, thermal performance analysis of 4 m2 solar dish collector is presented.The focal image characteristics of the solar dish are determined to propose the suitable design of a receiver. A flat plate was used for the receiver to measure flux distribution in the focal region. The measurement had been done in the midday. Intercept factor based on this distribution had been calculated and was obtained to calculate thermal efficiency after total heat loss was described. From the experiment, total heat loss was formed by conductive and radiative in the receiver. The results showed that the increase in total heat loss followed the increase in receiver temperature and it caused a decrease in thermal efficiency. On the peak of the measurement or in midday, receiver temperature can achieve 138°C and it gave around 1200-Watt heat loss and it was dominated by radiative heat loss for around 80%. The thermal efficiency of the system due to flux distribution measurement in the focal region was above 70% and it was classified as high average but we needed to cover this flux up so it did not lose a lot of heat. Cavity aperture would keep around 20% total heat loss and it minimized radiative heat loss from the flux. The design of cavity aperture was the next discussion to insulate thermal heat reflection of the parabolic dish system from high radiative heat loss.©2020. CBIORE-IJRED. All rights reserved

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan analisis untuk mengetahui karakteristik getaran yang terjadi pada pondasi mesin induk kapal offshore supply 907 GT pada kondisi operasi. Metode numerik berbasis pada pemodelan matematis konstruksi pondasi mesin digunakan sebagai acuan untuk melakukan analisis kemungkinan terjadinya resonansi, respon simpangan dan respon kecepatan. Pemodelan matematis dibuat dengan memperhatikan berat dan daya mesin induk, dimensi dan konfigurasi pondasi mesin induk, dan koefisien redaman. Pemodelan matematis diwujudkan dalam bentuk persamaan differensial orde-2. Dari hasil analisis yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa resonansi secara umum tidak terjadi. Hal ini dikarenakan nilai frekwensi alami pondasi mesin induk berbeda dengan nilai frekwensi eksitasi mesin. Namun perhatian lebih harus diberikan pada saat kapal beroperasi pada putaran mesin antara 1760 RPM sampai 1980 RPM. Hal ini disebabkan karena nilai frekwensi eksitasi mesin induk mendekati sama dengan frekwensi alami konstruksi pondasi. Semakin besar putaran mesin induk, besarnya respon simpangan juga semakin besar. Nilai respon kecepatan yang terjadi masih memenuhi ketentuan yang ditentukan oleh American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). Pemodelan matematis yang disusun dapat menggambarkan secara jelas karakteristik getaran pondasi mesin induk.

Abstract

Outboard Engine has been known and used as motor boat among of the residents of fisherman community in Tlocors village. Motor boats powered by outboard engine are not only used for fishing, but also used as marine tourism facilities. Considering the vital functional usage of outboard engine for Tlocor’s fisherman community and village community tourism groups  (Pokdarwis), for maintaining    economic livelihood, any interrupted items that happened during motor operation periods would be very significant impact on their daily life. Loss of income resulting from engine problem is the most of many potential cases occurred on the communities.   Hence, it is necessary to provide assistances for both Tlocors Communities, the fishermen, and village community tourism groups. Assistances were also considered part of the public service obligation to communities provided by the Institution.  Training on Outboard Engine Maintenance and Repair would become the scheme of the assistances. This tailor- made assistances would be targeted to both clusters. Better understanding and having a certain competency level on outboard engine maintenance and repair would have a significant value in order to empowering both communities, and become the main purpose of the assistance as well

Abstract

This paper investigates the performance of Savonius vertical axis water turbine by varying its stagger angles. In this study, the shape of the turbine blade is modified based on the Myring equation as well as adding a disturbance in the form of a circular cylinder placed in front of the advancing blade as a barrier. The method used in this research is an experimental study in a water tunnel at a velocity of 0.22 m/s. The turbine has size of 0.4 m in height and 0.4 m in diameter. The experiment results show that the use of a circular cylinder in front of the advancing blade has a significant effect on increasing turbine performance. This can be proven by placing a circular cylinder with , , and where the angular speed achieved is , torque coefficient and the result of maximum power coefficient is about 0.4356.
