Abstract

Purpose of the study: An Merdeka curriculum requires students to be able to acquire scientific attitudes and process skills in science learning. Laboratory management is very important in supporting science learning. This research aims to analyze the management of science laboratories to support science learning. Methodology: This type of research is qualitative research using a systematic literature review method. The population in this study was 60 articles originating from Google Scholar with publications from 2018 to 2023 which were then filtered again and a sample of 18 articles was obtained. The data analysis technique uses the matrix method. Main Findings: Based on the results of a systematic literature review analysis, it is known that laboratory management in several schools has factors inhibiting laboratory management, such as the unavailability of laboratory personnel and technicians, multifunctional laboratory space, allocation of time for laboratory use, and lack of infrastructure in science laboratories. The conclusion in this research is that based on a review of literature studies, it is known that in the management of science laboratories in junior high schools, in some literature there are still inhibiting factors in its management. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty in this research is the existence of a literature study which discusses the management of science laboratories in supporting science learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze research trends related to flipped classrooms in physics learning from 2019 to 2023 through bibliometric analysis. The research trends consistently show a growing interest in flipped classrooms as a relevant and compelling topic in physics education. Using bibliometric mapping techniques, several distinct clusters were identified, including purple, blue, green, and orange clusters. Key keywords such as flipped classroom, physics, and student emerged as prominent themes. Furthermore, the top five authors and affiliated institutions contributing to this research were identified, with the largest contributions originating from Indonesia. The research was conducted by systematically collecting data from the Scopus database using the keywords "flipped classroom" and "physics" for the selected time frame. Data were analyzed using VOSviewer, focusing on three types of visualizations: network visualization, overlay visualization, and density visualization. Microsoft Excel was used to graph publication trends and document distribution, providing additional insights into the results. The findings of this study highlight the significant potential of flipped classrooms to improve students' understanding of physics learning by employing participatory methodologies and engaging students directly in the learning process.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) e-module inte grated with ethnoscience of Reog Ponorogo to enhance critical thinking skills. This research falls under development research, utilizing the 4D model (define, design, development, disseminate). The e-module was validated by three experts: media experts, material experts, and language experts, with six validators in each category. Additionally, a limited trial was conducted through a readability test involving two science teachers and ten seventh-grade students. The results of this research are as follows: (1) The e-module integrates local culture elements of Reog Ponorogo as learning material and is analyzed scientifically; (2) The validity results using Aiken’s formula indicate that all items were declared valid, as the calculated V value was greater than the V table (0.78) for 30 media validation items, 17 material validation items, and 9 language validation items; (3) The response results from the limited-scale readability test showed an average score of 90.5 from teachers and 87.3 from students, categorized as very good. Thus, the developed e-module has met the feasibility standards as a digital learning resource and can be tested on a larger scale to evaluate its effectiveness in improving students’ critical thinking skills.
