Abstract

Tulisan ini menyajikan konsep peringatan dini yang dapat diaplikasikan pada kawasan rawan bencana banjir di daerah Sibalaya Kabupaten Donggala. Peringatan dini merupakan langkah awal kesiapsiagaan untuk mengurangi korban jiwa dan harta benda. Sistem  Peringatan  Dini  menjadi mata  rantai  yang  spesifik  (hubungan  yang kritis) antara tindakan-tindakan  dalam  kesiapsiagaan dengan kegiatan tanggap darurat. Kegiatan sistem peringatan dini dimulai dengan identifikasi daerah rawan bencana kemudian merancang sistem alur penyampaian informasi mulai dari munculnya tanda-tanda akan terjadi bencana banjir kemudian penyebaran informasi kepada masyarakat yang terancam sehingga masyarakat menyiapkan diri untuk menghindari datangnya bencana tersebut.

Abstract

Perubahan fungsi lahan sebagai akibat pembangunan pemukiman dan industri - industri  menjadikan berkurangnya luas daerah resapan air hujan sehingga air tersebut banyak menjadi limpasan permukaan dan mempersingkat waktu berkumpulnya air ( time of concentration). Hal ini menjadikan akumulasi air hujan yang terkumpul bisa melampaui kapasitas drainase yang ada dan berkurangnya kesempatan air hujan berinfiltrasi ke dalam tanah. Salah  satu  sistem  drainase berwawasan  lingkungan  untuk  pengendalian  air, baik mengatasi  genangan  dan  kekeringan  adalah  melalui  sumur  resapan.  Sumur resapan merupakan upaya memperbesar resapan air hujan ke dalam tanah dan memperkecil aliran permukaan sebagai penyebab banjir

Abstract

Pengamatan proses sand boiling pada konstruksi bendung dengan menggunakan suatu model uji yang dirancang dapat mensimulasikan adanya gangguan stabilitas tanah (sand boiling) akibat timbulnya pengaliran pada medium di bawah konstruksi. Pengujian dan pengamatan dilakukan terhadap parameter berupa tinggi air (hw) dihulu bendung, tinggi air dihilir bendung saat peristiwa sand boiling terjadi (hc), pengaruh panjang sheet pile dan posisi penepatan sheet pile pada konstruksi bendung, dan juga jenis medium pengaliran (pasir) dan  tebal lapisan medium (T), untuk mendapatkan besarnya tinggi muka air kritis (hc) dimana pertama kali terlihat kejadian sand boiling. Variabel ini dibuat dalam suatu nilai perbandingan hubungan parameter tanpa dimensi yang dianalisis dalam suatu grafik. Model uji memperlihatkan panjang dan posisi sheet pile, tebal lapisan pasir, dan jenis medium pasir yang memberikan hambatan terbaik dimana   perisitiwa sand boiling terjadi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui proses erosi-sedimentasi, dan perubahan garis pantai serta morfologi Pantai Rerang, Kab. Donggala. Model perubahan garis pantai didasarkan pada persamaan kotinuitas sediment. Pantai dibagi menjadi sejumlah sel (ruas). Pada setiap sel ditinjau  angkutan sediment yang masuk dan keluar. Sesuai dengan hokum kekekalan massa, jumlah laju aliran massa netto didalam sel adalah sama denga laju perubahan massa di dalam tiap satuan waktu. Perubahan garis pantai tersebut dapat diprediksi dengan membuat model matematik yang didasarkan pada imbangan sediment pantai pada daerah pantai yang ditinjau. Prinsip tersebut digunakan dalam meyusun model matematik perubahan garis pantai dan dikembangkan menjadi sebuah perangkat lunak yang dikenal dengan nama GENESIS. Program GENESIS menerapkan “one-line simulation”, dimana batas antar laut dan darat di pantai digambarkan sebagai suatu bidang yang tegak. Perangkat lunak ini diaplikasikan untuk memodelkan perubahan garis Pantai Rerang Kabupaten Donggala

Abstract

This research is motivated by conditions among teachers. frequently use social media. The research objective was to determine the effect of using social media and school culture on student learning outcomes at Junior High School 01 Kisam Ilir, Muaradua Kisam District. This research uses quantitative methods. The population is 172 people and the research sample is 90 respondents. Data collection uses questionnaires and documentation of student learning outcomes which are then tested using the SPSS version 2.5 program. Hypothesis testing at the 5% significance level using the t-test, the conclusion of this study H1 is rejected, this shows that there is no influence between variable X1 on variable Y. For H2 is accepted, it shows that there is an influence between variable X2 and variable Y by 97%. To test the effect of variables X1 and X2 on Y simultaneously, the F test is used which results in H3 are rejected. The implication of this research is to cultivate social media in the school environment to support learning achievement

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate: (1) the influence of principals’ managerial on the quality of education; (2) the influence of committee participation on the quality of education; and (3) the influence of the principals’ managerial and committee participation simultaneously on the quality of education. The data in this study were collected through distributing questionnaires to respondents. Them they were analyzed by using multiple regression analysis through t test, F test, and determination coefficient test. The population in this study were all teachers at Elementary Schools of Babat Supat District which consisted of 294 teachers. The sampling technique used in this study was probability sampling with a sample size of 75 people. The results of the study showed that: (1) principals’ managerial individually influences the quality of education at Elementary Schools of Babat Supat District; (2) participation of school committee individually influences the quality of education at Elementary Schools of Babat Supat District; (3) principals’ managerial and school committee participation simultaneously influence the quality of education at Elementary Schools of Babat Supat District.

Abstract

Labyrinth weirs have a longer crest length compared to linear weirs to increase the discharge capacity for a given water head. Generally, the plan shape of labyrinth weirs is triangular, trapezoidal, and rectangular. In this regard, several studies have been published regarding determining the hydraulic characteristics of labyrinth weirs. However, the effect of changing the plan shape if other parameters such as the same length and height have not been addressed in the current literature. To fill this gap, this study aims to compare the hydraulic characteristics of flow over triangular, trapezoidal, and rectangular labyrinth weirs with the same length of the crest i.e. 230 cm length. Experiments study were conducted in a flume with a length of 16 m and a width of 95 cm. Three experimental models in this study were used. The results of this study indicated that changing the plan shape from trapezoidal to triangular increased the discharge coefficient (Cd) by about 38,0% on average. Furthermore, changing rectangular to triangular increased the Cd by about 64,5% on average. Thus, it can be concluded that the triangular model was the most efficient hydraulically compared to the others while the rectangular model was the least efficient.

Abstract

Climate change has a huge impact on the availability of water resources. Based on the case, this research is deemed necessary to do. Water availability is an essential issue related to climate change. The most perceived impacts due to climate change are climate anomalies; the rainy season lasts shorter with increasing intensity and the dry season lasts longer than usual conditions. The body of water cannot accommodate high-intensity rainwater, so it flows quickly into the sea. Relatively, a long dry season results in drought. The vulnerability of the availability of water sources in the Kalangkangan watershed, Tolitoli Regency was indicated through the reduction in river discharge. This changes in discharge had the potential to be difficult in meeting the needs of irrigation or clean water. If there is no attempt to protect and repair the water sources, it is believed that the reduction in discharge will continue until it hits a critical condition. The availability of water from the rain - discharge simulation model in the Kalangkangan watershed for wet conditions (Q20%) had a maximum discharge of 20.62 m³ / sec in June (decade II), and an average discharge of 13.59 m³ / sec. For normal conditions (Q50%) the maximum discharge was 19.47 m³ / sec in June (decade I), the minimum discharge was 5.35 m³ / sec in June (decade I) and the average discharge was 11.13 m³ / sec. For dry conditions (Q80%), the minimum discharge was 5.18 m³ / sec in May (decade I) and the average discharge was 9.05 m³ / sec
