Abstract

This study aims to implement the principles of Tamansiswa Tri Nga in science learning through the discovery learning model for the fourth grade of SD Baran I. Observation results show that during the current pandemic, teachers have difficulty designing learning activities that can encourage students to participate directly in real activities. This is because students learn from home. All learning activities at home cannot be monitored directly by the teacher. This research is descriptive qualitative research, which describes the implementation of Tri Nga principles through discovery learning models in online science learning for fourth-grade students of SDN Baran I. This research was conducted in SDN Baran I Rongkop, Gunungkidul in the online learning process for the fourth-grade science subjects in the 2021/2022 academic year. The subjects of this study were fourth-grade students of SDN Baran I Rongkop, with a total of 17 students, consisting of 11 male students and 6 female students. Data collection techniques used include observation techniques or observation and documentation rubrics. Through the discovery learning model in science learning by implementing Tri Nga's principles on online learning for the fourth grade of SDN Baran I can be carried out well. This is reflected in the implementation of learning to encourage students to be active and explore themselves. Students gain direct and meaningful experience regarding the material of plant and animal parts.

Abstract

Abstract. Curriculum development is an important step for the government in improving human resources in Indonesia. The independent curriculum policy changed the perspective of educational actors, especially school principals and teachers. Educational actors are the vanguard in the successful implementation of the independent curriculum, but they have limited references in implementing their curriculum. These complaints were then answered by the service team through community service activities by providing training related to the implementation of the self-accompanied learning model (MPATM) based on Tamansiswa teachings. The objectives of this activity include being able to increase teacher understanding regarding Tamansiswa teachings which are implemented through MPATM and being able to increase innovation and competence of elementary school teachers in implementing the independent curriculum in learning. Community service activities are carried out on August 9-10 2022 with the target of SD teachers at Jetis using the offline method, namely through the stages of socialization, development, implementation and evaluation. Through this activity, school principals and elementary school teachers at Jetis gained additional new knowledge related to learning innovations with MPATM which are integrated with the independent curriculum. Teachers are also able to innovate in learning tools and implemented in the learning process. The results of the evaluation showed that with this activity the tutors (teachers and principals) were more enthusiastic about carrying out learning activities based on Tamansiswa teachings and at the same time as an effort to re-ground Tamansiswa teachings in the independent curriculum so that meaningful learning was created.Abstrak. Pengembangan kurikulum menjadi langkah penting pemerintah dalam memperbaiki sumber daya manusia di Indonesia. Kebijakan kurikulum merdeka mengubah cara pandang para pelaku pendidikan khususnya kepala sekolah dan guru. Pelaku pendidikan sebagai garda depan dalam mensukseskan implementasi kurikulum merdeka, namun mereka memiliki keterbatasan referensi dalam mengimplementasikan kurikulum meredeka. Keluhan tersebut kemudian dijawab oleh tim pengabdi melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan memberikan pelatihan terkait implementasi model pembelajaran ajak temani mandiri (MPATM) berbasis ajaran tamansiswa. Tujuan kegiatan ini diantaranya adalah mampu meningkatkan pemahaman guru terkait ajaran tamansiswa yang diimplementasikan melalui MPATM dan mampu meningkatkan inovasi serta kompetensi guru SD dalam mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan pada tanggal 9-10 Agustus 2022 dengan sasaran Guru SD di Jetis dengan metode luring yaitu melalui tahapan sosialisasi, pengembangan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Melalui kegiatan ini, kepala sekolah dan guru SD di Jetis memperoleh tambahan ilmu baru terkait inovasi pembelajaran dengan MPATM yang terintegrasi dengan kurikulum merdeka. Guru juga mampu menginovasikannya dalam perangkat pembelajaran dan diimplementasikan dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa dengan kegiatan ini pamong (guru dan kepala sekolah) semakin bersemangat melakukan kegiatan pembelajaran yang berbasis ajaran tamansiswa dan sekaligus sebagai upaya membumikan kembali ajaran tamansiswa dalam kurikulum merdeka sehingga tercipta pembelajaran yang bermakna.

Abstract

Tujuan–Kepedulian manusia terhadap lingkungan sekitar sudah mulai diabaikan, hal ini dikarenakan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan tidak ditanamkan sejak dini, yaitu usia sekolah dasar. Dengan adanya pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar kelas III, karakter peduli lingkungan dapat ditanamkan sejak dini. Penelitian ini dilalakukan untuk membentuk karakter peduli terhadap lingkungan pada siswa sekolah dasar kelas III melalui pembelajaran IPA. Metode–Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui literatur yang terkait dan studi dokumentasi. Data yang sudah dikumpulkan dianalisis melalui data reduction, data display, dan conclucion dalam bentuk paragraf deskriptif. Hasil–Penelitian ini menyajikan data bahwa pembentukan karakter peduli lingkungan dapat dilakukan melalui pembelajaran IPA dengan memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk terjun ke lingkungan sekitar secara langsung. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam upaya pembentukan karakter peduli lingkungan pada peserta didik yaitu Problem Based Learning (PBL), Project Based Learning (PjBL), dan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL).

Abstract

This research conducts a systematic literature review on the integration of lateral thinking into the science curriculum under the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. The study evaluates the quality of existing science textbooks, highlights the need for effective teacher training, and explores the integration of lateral thinking with other learning approaches such as STEM and computational thinking. The findings from this review indicate that, despite an acknowledgement of the importance of lateral thinking in science education, there remains a shortcoming in textbooks and teaching methods that effectively support the development of these skills. Furthermore, the study also found that existing teacher training is inadequate to meet the needs of teaching that integrates lateral thinking. This study recommends the development of more supportive educational resources and training modules, as well as further research to optimize the integration of lateral thinking within the science curriculum.
