Abstract

Seluruh dunia dilanda wabah covid-19 yang begitu leluasa mempengaruhi aktivitas manusia khususnya aktivitas di bidang pendidikan, untuk itulah penggunaan media elektronik dan internet sebagai penyokong pembelajaran online sangatlah diperlukan. Hal ini menjadi penting bagi calon pendidik untuk mampu memanfaatkan e-Learning khususnya courses Edmodo yang terintegrasi dengan pertemuan tatap muka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) mendeskripsikan penerapan e-learning berbasis Edmodo untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar mahasiswa PVTM UST Semester Ganjil Tahun 2020/2021) untuk menguji keefektifan  e-Learning berbasis Edmodo terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah pengantar pendidikan di Program Studi pendidikan Tenaga pendidik Sekolah Dasar FKIP UST. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan secara kolaboratif dengan dosen observer yang terdiri atas dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan (observasi) dan refleksi. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PVTM semester 1 gasal tahun akademik 20/2020. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan tes.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif dengan presentase berupa perhitungan hasil observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas ini mentargetkan luaran berupa HaKI tentang perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Edmodo dan artikel pada jurnal nasional terakreditasi dengan judul penerapan media e-learning berbasis Edmodo di era covid-19 untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar mahasiswa PVTM, artikel Journal intenasional dengan judul “The effectiveness of courses Edmodo in improving achievement student ” serta rumusan kebijakan untuk mendukung peraturan akademik UST tentang ketentuan penggunaan e-learning di UST. Abstract: The whole world is hit by the Covid-19 epidemic which is so freely influencing human activities, especially activities in the education sector, for this reason the use of electronic media and the internet as a support for online learning is needed. This is important for prospective educators to be able to take advantage of e-Learning, especially Edmodo courses which are integrated with face-to-face meetings. The objectives of this study were 1) to describe the application of Edmodo-based e-learning to increase the activities and learning outcomes of UST PVTM students in the Odd Semester 2020/2021) to test the effectiveness of Edmodo-based e-learning on student learning activities and outcomes in introductory education courses in the Program. Education Study of UST FKIP Elementary School Educators. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) conducted collaboratively with observer lecturers which consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of the stages of planning, implementing the action, observing (observation) and reflecting. The subjects of this study were PVTM students in the odd semester of the 20/2020 academic year. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and tests. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative data analysis with a percentage in the form of calculating the results of observations and tests. The results of this classroom action research target output in the form of Intellectual Property Rights on Edmodo-based learning tools and articles in accredited national journals with the title application of Edmodo-based e-learning media in the Covid-19 era to increase motivation and learning outcomes of PVTM students, an international journal article entitled "The effectiveness of courses Edmodo in improving student achievement as well as formulation of policies to support UST academic regulations regarding the provisions for the use of e-learning at UST.Keywords: Edmodo e-learning; learning outcomes; college student.

Abstract

Schoology e-learning is a learning process by utilizing technology because online e-learning media uses computer networks to provide information and communication that if the lecturers use e-learning, there can be changes in learning activities between students and lecturers. This study aims to develop and describe the attractiveness, convenience and usefulness and effectiveness of e-learning which is used as an enrichment in terms of student activity and learning outcomes. It is a research & development research referring to development models that are Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluation (ADDIE). Schoology-based e-learning has similar features to Facebook and Schoology also combines social networking and LMS (Learning Management System). The development of schoology-based e-learning can easily obtain information on the learning materials provided by the lecturer even though the lecturer is unable to attend class because through schoology the lecturer can check student attendance, and between lecturers and students can interact socially and also learn together.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effect of science Subject Spesific Pedagogy based lab work on: (1) the curiosity of the students, (2) the precise of the students, (3) the curiosity and precise of the students. This research is a quantitative using a quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. Population of this research was all students of class IX SMP Integral Hidayatullah Tolitoli. The sample of this research was selected through cluster random sampling, namely class IX A as an experiment class and class IX B as a control class. This research used a enclosed questionaire instrument that was adapted from Hermanto research. The data analysis used the ANOVA and MANOVA. The results show that: (1) the implementation of science subject specific pedagogy based lab work gives a significantly more positive effect to the curiosity of the students than convensional learning, (2) the implementation of science subject specific pedagogy based lab work gives a significantly more positive effect to the precise of the students than conventional learning, and (3) the implementation of science subject specific pedagogy based lab work gives a significantly more positive effect to the curiosity and precise of the students than convensional learning does.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the profile of critical thinking skills of PGSD students in learning science concepts. Critical thinking indicators used as a reference in observing critical thinking in this study include: analyzing, predicting, designing ideas. The research carried out includes the type of quantitative research with a descriptive approach. where the data were analyzed by calculating the cognitive ability score with a scoring technique with corrections to guess answers. The research subjects for the third semester students of PGSD UST Yogyakarta are 80 students for the 2021/2022 academic year. The results showed that the critical thinking skills of PGSD students from grades A and B had critical thinking skills with an average (medium) scale of 23.75%, then critical thinking abilities with low criteria of 33.75%. Furthermore, students who have very high critical thinking skills are 6.25%. While those with very low criteria are only 36.25%.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi didapatkan masalah keterlambatan membaca siswa kelas IIB SDN Sitiharjo sehingga perlu dilaksanakan perbaikan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan model CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition) dalam mengatasi keterlambatan membaca di kelas IIB SD Negeri Sitiharjo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Variabel penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel bebas yaitu model pembelajaran CIRC dan variabel terikat yaitu keterlambatan membaca. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IIB SDN Sitiharjo berjumlah 28 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi siswa dan guru serta lembar penilaian kemampuan membaca siswa. Tahapan penelitian ini terdiri dari empat yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan evaluasi, serta refleksi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik kualitatif deskriptif untuk hasil observasi dan kuantitatif deskriptif untuk hasil tes kemampuan membaca siswa. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa pada siklus I nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa adalah 55,71 kemudian pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan sebanyak 17,82 sehingga nilai rata-rata pada siklus II adalah 73,53. Kriteria pada siklus I adalah gagal sedangkan pada siklus II kriteria kemampuan membaca siswa adalah baik. Pada siklus I persentase ketuntasan membaca siswa adalah 32,14% dan pada siklus II adalah 67,85%. Terjadi peningkatan sebanyak 35.71%. Jadi kesimpulannya model CIRC terbukti berhasil mengatasi masalah keterlambatan membaca pada siswa kelas IIB SDN Sitiharjo.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan komunitas cendekia muda Indonesia (CMI) di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) dengan melalui pelatihan pembuatan konten YouTube. Metode kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pelatihan yang mencakup pengetahuan dasar pembuatan konten YouTube, penggunaan peralatan dan teknologi, serta keterampilan presentasi dan komunikasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa melalui pelatihan yang intensif, komunitas cendekia muda mampu meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam menghasilkan konten menarik di YouTube. Konten-konten tersebut beragam, seperti tutorial sains, ulasan buku, diskusi panel, dan dokumenter pendidikan. Pemberdayaan komunitas cendekia muda ini berdampak positif secara signifikan. Pertama, mereka mampu menginspirasi dan memberikan wawasan baru kepada pemirsa YouTube tentang sains, pendidikan, dan inovasi. Kedua, kolaborasi dan saling belajar antaranggota memperkuat jejaring sosial komunitas ini.Pengabdian ini berkontribusi pada pemberdayaan komunitas cendekia muda di DIY serta meningkatkan pemahaman tentang potensi platform YouTube dalam penyebaran pengetahuan dan inovasi. Hasilnya diharapkan dapat menjadi landasan untuk program serupa di komunitas lain dan menjadi inspirasi bagi pihak terkait untuk terus mendukung pemberdayaan cendekia muda di Indonesia.   Empowering Indonesia's Young Scholar Community through YouTube content training   Abstract: This activity aims to empower the Indonesian young scholars (CMI) community in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) through YouTube content creation training. The activity method used a qualitative approach with training covering basic knowledge of YouTube content creation, use of equipment and technology, as well as presentation and communication skills. The results show that through intensive training, the young scholar community was able to improve their skills in producing interesting content on YouTube. The contents are diverse, such as science tutorials, book reviews, panel discussions, and educational documentaries. The empowerment of this community of young scholars has had a significant positive impact. First, they are able to inspire and provide YouTube viewers with new insights into science, education, and innovation. Second, collaboration and mutual learning between members strengthen the social network of this community. This service contributes to the empowerment of young scholar communities in DIY as well as increasing understanding of the potential of the YouTube platform in the dissemination of knowledge and innovation. The results are expected to serve as a foundation for similar programs in other communities and inspire relevant parties to continue supporting the empowerment of young scholars in Indonesia.

Abstract

Purpose of this study was to produce learning media and test the feasibility of learning media based on android applications at Vocational High Schools. The type of research used in this research is implementation research. The subjects in the study were 31 students of class XI TBSM Vocational High Schools. The data collection instrument used quantitative descriptive analysis to determine the feasibility of learning media. The results of this study indicate: (1) Development research produces learning media for motorcycle electrical maintenance materials for students of class XI TBSM with the development process through the following stages: (2) Android-based learning media is categorized as feasible to use in learning to get validation results from Experimental class of 87.5%, Control class 78.5%, So it can be concluded that learning with Android is more effective for students.
