Abstract

Job  opportunities  for  graduates  of  the French  Language Studies Program (PS) are currently more and more promising. But of course, graduates must have good or even superior skills to compete with graduates of the same field from various Indonesian universities. Therefore, the existence of specialization courses (MK) is a very good  step  to  equip  graduates  with  qualified  skills,  especially  in  the  field  of  French. Specialized courts can help graduates be able to compete in a wider range of professions. Employment opportunities for graduates will be increasingly open. But in reality, there are still students, alumni and stakeholders who don't know and understand this. Thus, through this service activity, it is hoped that the various parties directly involved will be able to learn about the importance of the specialized tribunal during studies in the French Language Studies Program. Not only the provision of French with a literary and pedagogical basis, but also competence in the field of specialized French (FOS / French for Specific Objectives) to be able to compete in an increasingly difficult professional world. The challenges of the disruptive era and the 4.0 industrial revolution and the 5.0 society require students and alumni as well as stakeholders to be able to adapt quickly to the changes taking place both in the world of education than professionals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan interferensi bahasa yang berupa interferensi fonologis, interferensi leksikal, interferensi sintaksis dalam ujaran bahasa Indonesia pada penutur asli Prancis di kanal youtube Indra Sasak serta merumuskan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi interferensi tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Selanjutnya untuk mengumpulkan data menggunakan metode simak yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik metode padan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 104 data terdiri dari 35 data interferensi fonologis, 50 data interferensi leksikal, dan 19 data interferensi sintaksis. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk proses pembelajaran bahasa Prancis bidang linguistik.

Abstract

This research aims to determine This study was conducted to determine whether the use of the Wordwall website is effective in improving the French listening skills of class XI students of SMAN 16 Bandar Lampung. The subjects of this study were students of class XI-4 as an experimental class consisting of 31 students. This research uses quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method and a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes, as indicated by an increase in the average pretest score of students from 61.77 to 83.55 in the posttest. Then the t-test value is obtained with a significance value of 0,000 < 0,05, with an N-Gain value of 0,5831, which is included in the category medium. Besides, based on the results of the questionnaire, it was found that the Wordwall website is very interesting to use in learning French, especially for listening skills, and students feel that Wordwall can help increase interest and motivation in learning French listening. However, the Wordwall website still has disadvantages, such as that students need to use headsets or earphones while listening to audio, and they also need a stable network.Kata kunci: Wordwall, Frech, Comprehensio, Media Pembelajaran

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the comparison before and after the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) on the French reading comprehension abilities of students in the French Education Study Program, measured by reading level indicators equivalent to the B2 level in the CEFR. The method used is quantitative, with a quasi-experimental research design. The population consisted of all students in this study program, totaling 186 students in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, comprising 20 students at the B2 level. The highest score obtained during the pretest was 77.5, while the highest posttest score was 75. The average student score during the pretest was 54, but it dropped to 50 in the posttest. The t-test results showed a 2-tailed significance value of more than 0.05, indicating no significant influence on the ability to understand French text after implementing PjBL. Based on the questionnaire, students reported increased motivation to read French texts, better understanding of sentences, and improved ability to find the main idea. They also noted enhancements in teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking, although they still required guidance from lecturers. Despite the positive reception and impact of the PjBL model on learning, there was no significant effect on students' French reading comprehension abilities after its implementation. Further research should investigate the factors that influence students' reading comprehension results.

Abstract

Le développement rapide de la technologie moderne apporte de nombreux avantages significatifs dans divers domaines de la vie, notamment dans le domaine de l'éducation. L'intégration des technologies dans les pratiques pédagogiques permet non seulement de faciliter le processus d'apprentissage, mais également de le rendre plus interactif, engageant et adapté aux besoins des apprenants actuels. L'utilisation de supports audiovisuels interactifs est l'une des innovations éducatives les plus prometteuses, car elle offre une approche plus dynamique pour transmettre les connaissances. Dans cette optique, la présente étude vise à explorer la perception des étudiants face à l'utilisation de Powtoon, un site web qui permet de créer des contenus animés attrayants, comme support d'apprentissage. La recherche adoptée est de nature descriptive qualitative. Les données ont été recueillies à l’aide d’observations directes et de questionnaires fermés fondés sur une échelle de Likert, administrés à un groupe d’étudiants ayant été exposés aux supports réalisés à l’aide de Powtoon. Les résultats montrent une réponse globalement positive des étudiants. Ils perçoivent ces supports comme utiles pour mieux comprendre les notions abordées en cours, plus motivants que les supports traditionnels, et capables de maintenir leur attention tout au long de l'apprentissage. En conclusion, l'utilisation de Powtoon dans le développement de supports pédagogiques audiovisuels représente une alternative efficace et innovante pour améliorer la qualité de l’enseignement.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the phonetic errors found in the speaking skills of UNILA French Education Study Program students, especially in speaking skills through video media. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data sources in this study were fourth semester students in the academic year 21-22. The highest error is found in the phonetic pronunciation of consonants by 57.8%, namely in the pronunciation of consonants [Ʒ] as much as 20%. Then, there are only a few vowel errors of 7.8%, namely in the pronunciation of [œ] and [ə]. The results of this study are expected to be an evaluation material for perfecting phonetic pronunciation in speaking skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan-kesalahan fonetik yang terdapat pada keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Prancis UNILA, khususnya pada mata kuliah keterampilan berbicara melalui media video. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester empat pada tahun akademik 21-22. Kesalahan paling tinggi terdapat pada pelafalan fonetik konsonan sebesar 57,8% yaitu pada pelafalan huruf konsonan [Ʒ] sebanyak 20%. Kemudian, hanya terdapat beberapa kesalahan vokal sebesar 7,8% yaitu pada pelafalan [œ]dan [ə]. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi bahan evaluasi untuk menyempurnakan pelafalan fonetik pada keterampilan berbicara. Keywords: Phonetic errors, French, Video

Abstract

Cette éttude vise à décrire la variété méthode de traduction dans une bande déssinée Tintin au Congo par Hergé (1960) et sa traduction par Donna Widjajanto (2016), et aussi son implication dans l’apprentissage français. Cette étude a utilisé la méthode qualitative descriptive, pour collecter de données, cette étude utilise la méthode dóbservation et de prise de note. La donnée dans cette étude sont dialogues, pendant que la source de données est une bande déssinée Tintin au Congo par Hergé et sa traduction par Donna Widjajanto page 1 à page 31. Le résultat de cette étude indique qu’il existe 5 méthodes trouvées, à savoir (1) la traduction littérale, (2) la traduction semantique, (3) la traduction idiomatique, (4) la traduction libre, et (5) la traduction communicative, tandis que 3 autres méthodes sont à savoir (1) la traduction mot à mot, (2) la traduction fidèle, et (3) adaptation ne sont pas trouvé. Cette éttude peut être impliquée dans l’apprentissage du français au niveau B1 dans les éstablissements d’enseignement général. Les enseignements feront une fiche pédagogique et un test d’évaluation sur la base des résultats de cette étude. This research aims to describe the variety of translation method that used in a comic entitled Tintin au Congo by Hergé (1960) and its translation by Donna Widjajanto (2016), along with the implication of this research in French learning. The method used in this research i s a descriptive qualitative. The data is dialogues contained in the comic Tintin au Congo from page 1 to page 31 while the source is the comic Tintin au Congo by Hergé in French and its translation in Indonesian by Donna Widjajanto. This research uses observation and note-taking technique to collect the data. The result of this research shows that there are 5 translation methods used in the translation of comic Tintin au Congo done by Donna Widjajanto, (1) literal translation, (2) semantic translation, (3) idiomatic translation, (4) free translation, and (5) communicative translation. On other hand, the 3 other methods which are (1) word for word translation, (2) faithful translation, and (3) adaptation can not be found. This research can be implicated at the B1 level of french learning in public institutions. Teachers will make a learning plan and evaluation tests according to the result of this research.

Abstract

The literacy skills of Indonesian children remain relatively low, while elementary school teachers play a crucial role in fostering reading interest and shaping students’ character through educational media such as children’s stories. However, many teachers still lack the ability to write engaging and meaningful stories that suit students’ psychological development. To address this issue, this community service program focuses on training elementary school teachers in Bandar Lampung to write educational children’s stories. The training aims to enhance teachers’ creativity and writing competence in producing stories that are not only entertaining but also instill character values such as honesty, responsibility, and cooperation. The activities are conducted through a participatory approach involving material presentation, writing practice, and mentoring sessions. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding, skills, and positive attitudes toward writing educational children’s stories, as reflected in the comparison between pre- and post-training evaluations.   Kemampuan literasi anak-anak Indonesia masih tergolong rendah, sementara guru sekolah dasar memiliki peran penting dalam menumbuhkan minat baca serta membentuk karakter siswa melalui media edukatif seperti cerita anak. Namun, banyak guru belum memiliki keterampilan menulis cerita anak yang menarik, bermakna, dan sesuai dengan perkembangan psikologis siswa. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian ini difokuskan pada pelatihan penulisan cerita anak edukatif bagi guru sekolah dasar di Kota Bandar Lampung. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas dan kompetensi menulis guru dalam menghasilkan cerita anak yang tidak hanya menghibur, tetapi juga sarat nilai-nilai karakter seperti kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan kerja sama. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan partisipatif yang meliputi penyampaian materi, praktik penulisan, dan pendampingan. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman, keterampilan, serta sikap positif peserta terhadap penulisan cerita anak edukatif, yang tercermin dari perbandingan hasil evaluasi sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan.
