Abstract

The Location Routing Problem with Roaming Delivery Locations (LRPRDL) is a model that represents company activities in delivering products to final customers. Direct delivery to final customers has increased significantly over the growth of e-commerce in the world. E-commerce or business-to-customer companies are urged to increase their last-mile distribution efficiency to survive in the global competition. For that purpose, the LRPRDL  model was proposed to increase the efficiency of the company’s last-mile distribution. The model aims to minimize the sum of open depots and transportation costs by determining the number and location of depots and the shipping routes. The LRPRDL was implemented in an instance with four depot candidates, 15 customers, and six vehicles. The instance was solved to the optimality by using a public solver Gurobi. Furthermore, this research conducted a sensitivity analysis on the open depots and fuel costs, customer demand, and radius. The study indicated that customer’s demand and radius have a significant impact on the purchase decision.

Abstract

Integrated inventory management coordinates all party's replenishment policies to provide optimal benefits. Many models have been developed, but none of them have considered capital and warehouse constraints comprehensively. It may cause the model which cannot be applied, since it has exceeded the capacity. This study developed an integrated inventory model that consisted of one vendor, multi-buyer, and one type of item. The main objective was to minimize the joint total expected cost by considering warehouse, capital, and service level constraint. The optimal formula was constructed by using the Lagrange multipliers method.  The results showed that with an increment in holding cost, the vendor tends to reduce lot size to minimize joint total expected cost. It is vice versa to the increment in set up cost. An increment in buyer service level can increase lot size and reduce order frequency. The buyer capacity is essential to determine its capability to apply the optimal replenishment policy.

Abstract

One of the programs that can be used to improve the quality is Six Sigma program using DMAIC method. The research is performed at PT Baninusa Indonesia (PT. BN) producing the 2nd type of 4JA1 piston ring. The program is implemented to decrease the defect proportion The production process performance and the problem priority are known from the CTQ itself. The fish bone diagram is used to determine the causes of the problem. The improvement is performed by determination of the best process parameter through the fullfactorial experiment design. The result is significantly decrease defect proportion by 2.682%. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Salah satu program peningkatan kualitas yang dapat mengakomodasi tuntutan peningkatan kualitas adalah program Six Sigma dengan menggunakan metode DMAIC. Penelitian dilakukan pada PT.Baninusa Indonesia (PT.BN), salah satu perusahaan yang memproduksi produk ring piston tipe 4JA1 jenis 2nd ring. Program digunakan untuk menurunkan persentase cacat produk. Dari CTQ yang ada dapat diketahui kinerja proses produksi saat ini dan prioritas permasalahan. Fish bone diagram digunakan untuk akar penyebab masalah Tindakan perbaikan yang dipilih adalah menentukan parameter proses terbaik dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen full factorial. Hasil penerapan parameter proses tersebut menunjukkan pengurangan yang signifikan terhadap persentase cacat sebesar 2,682%. Kata kunci: metoda six sigma, DMAIC, perbaikan kualitas, karakteristik kualitas kritis, diagram fish bone.

Abstract

This paper presents an extended integrated inventory model with multi vendors that produce one item product and supply it to multi buyers. It is assumed that vendor production rates are not equal and the demands of buyers assumed to be normally distributed and independent. The model formulation was made for each buyer and vendor. Then, each cost component from the buyer and vendor is combined to form the total inventory costs. This model uses the service level as constraint. The final mathematical model consists of formulations of the total inventory costs and with certain service level.

Abstract

The productivity of a company or industry is highly dependent on the performance of the machines or equipment used. Reliability is one measure of machine or equipment performances. In industry, machines usually will form a complex configuration with each component having a different failure distribution. Research has been carried out for three systems installed in parallel where the three systems have different of failure distributions. The failure distribution used is the Normal, Weibull, and Normal Log distribution. Reliability calculations can be accomplished by making the three distributions have a similar shape even if could e the same. The three distributions have their respective parameters whose values ​​will be determined so that there is a similarity in the shape of the three distributions. System reliability od system with parallel configuration can then be calculated.

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan industri manufaktur merangsang tumbuhnya kebutuhan akan komponen logam yang sesuai dengan spesifikasi. Spesifikasi komponen logam tidakhanya meliputi bentuk fisik yang semakin rumit, tetapi juga meliputi struktur dan kekuatan material. Proses shot peening merupakan salah satu proses pembentukan yang dapat mengakomodir tuntutan akan kekuatan permukaan dari suatu komponen logam. Kriteria keberhasilan proses shot peening ini ditentukan oleh tinggi lengkung almen yang terjadi. Tinggi lengkung almen yang sesuai dengan spesifikasi yang diinginkan, tentunya mengisyaratkan bahwa proses shot peening yang dilakukan telah berhasil. Saat ini, pada divisi aero manufacturing PT. Dirgantara Indonesia diketahui bahwa terjadi penyimpangan tinggi lengkung almen dari target yang diinginkan. Walaupun penyimpangan ini masih dalam batas toleransi yang ditetapkan, namun improvement pada proses berupa usaha untuk meminimasi penyimpangan ini tetap diperlukan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu mengidentifikasiparameter apa saja yang mempengaruhi penyimpangan tinggi lengkung almen, dan selanjutnya mencari solusi yang tentunya bertujuan untuk meminimasi tinggi lengkung almen tersebut. The fast industrial development of manufactures stimulates the growth of metal components requirements based on the proper specification. The specification of metal components does not only cover the physical form which is being more complicated, but also covers the structure and material strength. The shot peening process represents one of forming processes which can accommodate the surface strength demand of metal components. The efficacy criterion of this shot peening process is determined by the almen arch height. The almen arch height suitable to the wanted specification, perhaps signs that the process of shot peening has been done successfully. Now in the division of aero manufacturing at PT. Dirgantara Indonesia detected that it had been occurring the high deviation of the almen arch height from the wanted goals. Although this deviation is within specified tolerance, but the improvement of process in the form of effort for minimizing this deviation remains to be needed. Therefore, this research which is expected can  assist to identify any parameters influencing the almen arch heightdeviation, and then looks for the solution which perhaps aim to minimizing the almen arch height.

Abstract

PT. IS sebagai perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang produksi tekstil dihadapkan pada permasalahan downtime yang berasal oleh kerusakan mesin. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meminimasi downtime adalah dengan menyusun strategi perawatan. Reliability Centered Maintenance merupakan metode untuk memilih, mengembangkan, dan membuat alternatif strategi perawatan berdasarkan kriteria operasional, ekonomi dan keamanan. Berdasarkan metode RCM, ditentukan mesin stenter finish pada bagian Dyeing dan Finishing sebagai sistem kritis yang akan dianalisis. Selanjutnya dengan menggunakan metode RCM didapatkan komponen-komponen kritis dari mesin yang seringkali menyebabkan kerusakan downtime machine. Untuk setiap komponen tersebut akan ditentukan jadwal perawatan yang sesuai. Jadwal perawatan untuk masing-masing mode kegagalan dibuat berdasarkan tingkat kekritisan mesin dari nilai severity, occurrence, dan detection setiap mode kegagalan. Jadwal perawatan yang dibuat mencakup jadwal pembersihan komponen, pelumasan, serta pengecekan masing-masing komponen mesin. PT. IS is a textile company faces machine downtime problems. One of the efforts to reduce machine downtime is to develop maintanance strategies. RCM is a method used to choose, develop, and make alternative maintanance strategies based on the operational, economic, adn security criteria. Stenter finish machine is rated as a critical system to be analyzed. Furthermore, by using the RCM method the critical components of the equipment which often cause damage to machine downtime can also be defined. Afterwards, an approriate maintanance shcedule to reduce machine downtime will be develop for each of the component above.

Abstract

The trend of digital-based transactions continues to increase along with the implementation of social restrictions during the pandemic, even it becomes a new habit for the millennial generation after the pandemic ends. In Southeast Asia, Indonesia was the first rank for the retail sales through e-commerce in 2021. The competition among e-commerce, especially the marketplaces in Indonesia has become very tight. Customer satisfaction, trust and loyalty are the important indicators for improving marketplace performance.  In this research, there are three main factors that are further investigated for their influence on customer satisfaction, trust, and loyalty namely e-service quality, e-word of mouth along with promotion and ads. The research was conducted on 162 Tokopedia user with the majority of the millennial generation. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the partial least square structural equation (PLS-SEM) technique. The results of this study indicate that e-service quality has a significant effect on loyalty through satisfaction and trust, promotion and ads has a significant effect on loyalty through satisfaction, and e-word of mouth has no significant effect on satisfaction, trust and consumer loyalty. To get consumer loyalty, the marketplace can improve e-service quality which has the most significant effect followed by promotion and ads.

Abstract

Aneka Jaya Store is a company in the furniture industry. It currently lacks a structured inventory system to manage demand, leading to intuitive and variable mattress ordering. This practice and limited warehouse space result in excess inventory and operational challenges. Consequently, the company seeks an enhanced inventory system to precisely define ordering intervals and quantities, aiming to minimize overall inventory costs. The proposed inventory management approach utilizes the T-method, the fixed order interval method, with a warehouse capacity constraint of 51 m3 for five designated products. This method mitigates stockouts by establishing order intervals (T) and maximum inventory quantities (M). Orders are placed based on the variance between the maximum inventory level and the remaining stock at the time of order placement. The T-Method employs both individual and joint ordering systems.The analysis reveals optimal order intervals and quantities after applying the individual and joint order T methods. For Export brands, joint orders are recommended every 17 days, with optimal amounts of 41 units for Export 120 and 40 units for Export 140. Teratai brand orders are bifurcated: individual orders for Teratai 90 products are suggested every 28 days with a supply of 26 units, while joint orders for Teratai 115 and Teratai 140 products are advised every 26 days, supplying 30 units and 27 units, respectively. Consequently, the total inventory cost for the five products amounts to IDR 15,992,603.49.

Abstract

This study discusses the urgency of improving operational efficiency and service quality in the creative industry by addressing theoretical gaps in the application of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and SERVQUAL methodologies. XYZ Creative Agency, a provider of social media management services, was selected as a case study to emphasize the practical contributions of the research. The main challenges include service delivery delays and insufficient service assurance. The Lean Six Sigma and SERVQUAL methods were applied to analyze and resolve these issues. The SERVQUAL analysis results revealed positive gaps in the assurance dimension (+0.0615) and the reliability dimension (+0.0154), indicating the need to enhance information clarity, client trust, and service timeliness. Value Stream Mapping (VSM) identified that delays primarily occurred during the content approval stage, while Fishbone Diagram analysis uncovered root causes such as inadequate team coordination, ineffective communication, and underutilized technology. Implemented solutions included the use of a digital project management platform to improve process transparency and efficiency, regular employee training to enhance competencies, and the development of a client feedback system. The DMAIC approach employed in Lean Six Sigma proved effective in designing data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and service quality. The implementation of these solutions is expected to reduce delays, enhance client satisfaction, and strengthen XYZ’s competitiveness in the creative industry.
