Abstract

The use of paper-based medical records requires a time-consuming process and had a relatively high risk of data loss compared to electronic-based medical records. This literature review aims to analyze the readiness of electronic medical records in hospitals. The search for journal references was carried out through several sources, namely Pubmed, Google Schoolar, and ScienceDirect with material inclusion criteria according to keywords, namely challenges and support in the readiness of implementing electronic medical records and exclusion criteria, namely the journal was a review article. Based on the search results, 963 articles were obtained which were then selected for up to 10 articles that were included in the discussion. The results showed that the readiness of health workers for the implementation of electronic medical records is still low and appropriate considerations and steps are needed to increase readiness in implementing electronic medical records in hospitals.

Abstract

IUD is one of the long term contraceptions which its usage is still below the target of Kebumen goverment on 11%. The local government has done a workshop of Contraception Technology Update (CTU) for the midwives in the Kebumen regency so the numbers of the IUD acceptors had increased to 6.57% in June 2012 but however, this is still below the government's target. Some efforts have been done by the local governement but it still can not show a good of IUD contraveption good services. Objective of the research is to give clear descrpition of the analysis of factors  relate to intra Uterine Device (IUD) contraception services by midwives in  Kebumen Regency. This study   this is an observational research with analytic survey method and cross sectional approach. The data were collected using interview consited of strutured questioners to 80 midwives in Kebumen area. The data were analyzed using univariat, bivariat and multivariat analyses techniques. The results show that the variables of knowledge, motivation, acces, human resource availability and policy are in good category but there are still 40% of midwives who have low motivation so they still prefer to give the other more practical contraceptions instead of IUD, and 31% of the places for the IUD services still have not been provided with flipcharts. The variable of IUD contraception has correlation with the variables of knowledge with (p=0.037), motivation (p=0.045), and the availability of the human resources (p=0.021). Meanwhile the variables of service acces (p=0.691) and policy (p=1.000) have no correlation with the behaviour of IUD contraception service. Togetherly the variables of motivation and human resource availability have influenced the behaviour of IUD contraception service p≤ 0.05 with Exp.(B) > 2.It is recomended to midwives to motivate them selves in giving more rasionally Family Planning service and it is necessary to hold an Up to date Contraception Technology Workshops for midwives to increase the quality of IUD contraception services. Abstract

Non-communicable diseases have increased from 39.8% in 1990 to 69.9% in 2017, and some are suffered by the elderly. The government guarantees the availability of elderly health services through posbindu, but the participation of the elderly in posbindu services has not met the 100% target. This study aimed to analyze what factors can affect the elderly in utilizing Posbindu PTM in Rembang Regency. The type of research used is quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The total population is 60,726 elderly in Rembang Regency. The sampling method is random sampling, and the sample size is determined using the Lemeshow formula; a number of 400 elderly people are obtained. The instrument was used as a questionnaire with the interview method. Data were analyzed using Chi-square and multiple logistic regression. The relationship test results showed a p-value <0.05 between the variables of health worker support, family support, perceived vulnerability, perceived severity, perceived benefits, and perceived obstacles to using Posbindu PTM. The results of this study obtained a lack of utilization of Posbindu PTM by 65.5%. The most influential factor in the multivariate analysis was perceived vulnerability p value = 0.0001, OR = 9.153, 95% CI = 4.595-18.230, while family support proved to have no significant effect (p-value = 0.259). The conclusion of this study is that the perceived vulnerability variable has the most influence on the utilization of Posbindu PTM. It is suggested that there should be efforts to increase the knowledge of the elderly so that the elderly have literacy about their illness so that they can increase the participation of the elderly in posbindu services

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Growth faltering in early childhood remains a global concern. Major contributing factors include poor sanitation, recurrent infections, a history of low birth weight (LBW), and environmental enteric dysfunction (EED) that reduces nutrient absorption. This study examines the determinants of growth faltering among children aged 6–23 months in the agricultural areas of Brebes Regency, Indonesia. Methods: This study employed a case–control design involving non-stunted children aged 6–23 months. The case group consisted of 64 children with weight-for-age (WAZ) < 5th percentile, while the control group included children with WAZ ≥ 5th percentile, classified according to the WHO Child Growth Standards. Data were collected through anthropometric assessments and standardized, structured interviews, with participants selected through purposive sampling. Multivariable logistic regression analysis was performed to identify the determinants of growth faltering. Results and Discussion: There were no significant differences between groups in mean maternal age, child age, or maternal employment status. Maternal education levels were lower in the case group. Acute respiratory infection (ARI) (OR = 2.3; 95% CI: 1.10–5.08), history of LBW (OR = 4.9; 95% CI: 1.21–19.94), and EED (OR = 2.0; 95% CI: 0.93–4.32) were identified as determinants of growth faltering among children living in the agricultural areas of Brebes Regency. Conclusion: EED is a key determinant of growth faltering among children aged 6–23 months in the agricultural areas of Brebes Regency, alongside recent ARI and a history of LBW. Abstract

The Tuberculosis Information System (SITB) has been implemented at Dr Rehatta Regional General Hospital in Central Java to support the recording, reporting and monitoring of the TB programme; however, its effectiveness still needs to be evaluated. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the SITB in supporting TB treatment services based on the HOT-Fit model. This is a quantitative analytical survey with a cross-sectional design involving 21 healthcare workers who use the SITB as the sample, selected via total sampling, as well as 4 respondents selected via purposive sampling for open-ended questions. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analysed using validity tests, internal consistency tests, descriptive statistics, and Spearman’s rank correlation test. The results indicate that respondents’ perceptions of human and technological factors fell within the ‘good’ to ‘very good’ categories, with the quality of technical support services identified as a weak point. There was a positive and significant relationship between user skills, adoption, system quality, service quality and technical support on the effectiveness of TB services; however, user satisfaction did not show a significant relationship. This study concluded that the SITB makes a positive contribution to the effectiveness of TB services; however, improvements in technical support, regular training and the involvement of doctors are still required to optimise its benefits Keywords: Tuberculosis Information System, HOT-Fit Model, Effectiveness of TB Services
