Abstract

Objective: This study aims to determine The effect of the audiovisual recording imagination guidance method on hospitalization stress in school-age children at Bhayangkara Hospital Makassar. Methods: This study uses a quantitative design with a quasi-experimental method only post-test with control group design. Results: The results of the study using the Mann-Whitney test showed that there was a significant difference (p 0.022) between the audiovisual recording imagination guidance method group and the control group. Discussion: Providing imagination guidance on audio-visual recordings affects reducing hospitalization stress levels in school-age children (6-12 years). Conclusion: The audio-visual recording imagination guidance method is more influential in reducing hospitalization stress in school-age children. Suggestion: It is expected that pediatric nurses will be able to apply the audiovisual recording imagination guidance method to the school-age children with a nursing process approach.

Abstract

Keadaan darurat dan bencana alam memengaruhi kesehatan dan kesejahteraan jutaan orang setiap tahunnya, termasuk anak usia sekolah dan remaja. dampak negatif bencana terhadap pendidikan sangatlah besar, hal ini menunjukkan pentingnya kesiapsiagaan dan tanggap darurat bencana di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensintesis artikel terkait kesiapsiagaan dan tanggap darurat bencana pada siswa di sekolah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode scoping review. Pencarian literatur dilakukan pada database seperti Scopus, CINAHL, Medline dan ScienceDirect dari bulan Maret hingga Juni 2024. Hasil: dari 347 artikel yang ditemukan, 8 artikel dipilih untuk disintesis. Tiga tema utama yang muncul adalah pengetahuan dan sikap siswa, efektivitas program pendidikan bencana, serta keterlibatan sekolah. Studi menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan bencana mempunyai dampak positif terhadap pengetahuan dan kesiapsiagaan siswa. Kesimpulan: pendidikan kebencanaan di sekolah membantu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap siswa dalam menghadapi bencana alam. Penerapan program pendidikan kebencanaan yang efektif di sekolah penting dilakukan untuk meminimalisir dampak negatif bencana alam terhadap anak. Kata kunci: kesiapsiagaan bencana, manajemen bencana, pendidikan, siswa Emergencies and natural disasters significantly affect the health and well-being of millions of people every year, including school-aged children and adolescents. The negative impact of disasters on education is substantial, underscoring the importance of disaster preparedness and response in school. This study aims to synthesize articels on school preparedness and disaster response. Method: this study employed the scoping review method. We conducted literature searches in database such as Scopus, CINAHL, Medline, and ScienceDirect from March to June 2024. Results: we selected 8 out of 347 identified articles for synthesis. Three main themes emerged: students’ knowledge and attitudes, the effectiveness of disaster education programs, and school preparedness and response. The studies indicate that disaster education in school has a positive impact on students’ knowledge and preparedness. Conclusion: Disaster education in schools significantly enhances students’ knowledge and attitudes in dealing with disasters. Implementing effective disaster education programs in schools is crucial for minimizing the negative impacts of disasters on children and adolescents. Abstract

Background: injuries are important because they are taught about basic techniques for saving victims from various accidents or daily disasters that are commonly encountered. Objective: To determine the  effect of the simulation method of handling acute injuries on increasing knowledge and skills in  Makassar Graha Education Stikes  Students. Method: Quantitative research method  with Quasi-Experimental  design (pseudo-experiment) with pre-test post test control group design  (pre-post test design) to determine the level of knowledge and skills with simulation methods for acute wound management. Results:  there is an influence of the simulation method on the level of knowledge and skills of STIKES Graha Edukasi Makassar students (p = 0.000). Conclusion: The simulation method of acute wound management effectively increases the knowledge and skills of students of Stikes Graha Edukasi Makassar, with significant improvements in both aspects and proven relationships between simulation methods and increased knowledge, as well as student skills.

Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a transitional phase connecting childhood and adulthood, requiring special attention and protection. During puberty, adolescents are vulnerable to issues related to reproductive health. This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Bantaeng. Method: The research employed a Quasi-Experimental Pretest-Posttest One Group Design. The population consisted of all second-year female students of SMP Negeri 1 Bantaeng, totaling 67 individuals. The sampling technique used was Total Sampling, where the entire population served as the sample, analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test. Results: The results showed that among the 67 participants, before being provided with gender-equity-based reproductive health education, 21 students (31.3%) had good knowledge, and 46 students (68.7%) had poor knowledge. After the education, 53 students (79.1%) had good knowledge, and 14 students (20.9%) had poor knowledge. Regarding self-efficacy, before the education, 18 students (26.9%) had high self-efficacy, while 49 students (73.1%) had low self-efficacy. After the education, 44 students (65.7%) had high self-efficacy, and 23 students (34.3%) had low self-efficacy. Conclusion: The findings indicate that gender-equity-based reproductive health education positively influences the improvement of knowledge and sexual self-efficacy among adolescents at SMP Negeri 1 Bantaeng

Abstract

Background: The incidence of breast cancer increases with age; however, being young does not guarantee immunity from breast cancer. The highest incidence rate for women is breast cancer, at 42.1 per 100,000 population, with an average mortality rate of 17 per 100,000. Breast cancer symptoms can be detected early if women of reproductive age perform breast self-examinations (BSE) correctly. Method: This study employs a quantitative research design with a one-group pre-test and post-test approach. The sample consisted of 40 respondents, and data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Results: The study results show a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant effect of health education on students' knowledge about BSE at Yaspim Patompo University. Conclusion: Health education on BSE can be conducted continuously among female students to prevent the rising incidence of breast cancer and improve the quality of life for adult women. Activities that enhance knowledge about breast self-examinations are recommended so that women of reproductive age can practice them as an early detection measure for breast cancer in their daily lives.

Abstract

Hasil studi pendahuluan pada siswa-siswi remaja di SMPN 30 Bulukumba tahun 2024 menunjukkan bahwa dari 10 responden, sebanyak 4 orang mengaku pernah melakukan kissing, 2 orang pernah melakukan necking, dan 1 orang pernah melakukan petting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara religiusitas, persepsi, dan konsep diri dengan perilaku seks bebas pada remaja di SMPN 30 Bulukumba tahun 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional, serta memanfaatkan data primer. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh pelajar kelas IX di SMPN 30 Bulukumba. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari total responden, sebanyak 55 orang (64,8%) memiliki perilaku yang baik. Sebanyak 55 responden (62,5%) memahami konsep religiusitas dengan baik, 52 responden (59,1%) memiliki persepsi yang positif, dan 51 responden (58,0%) menunjukkan konsep diri yang baik. Berdasarkan uji statistik, variabel religiusitas memiliki nilai P value sebesar 0,025 dan OR 3,112, persepsi memiliki P value sebesar 0,019 dan OR 0,282, sedangkan konsep diri memiliki P value sebesar 0,040 dan OR 0,336. Karena semua nilai P value ≤ 0,05, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara religiusitas, persepsi, dan konsep diri dengan perilaku seks bebas pada remaja. Hasil penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar remaja di SMPN 30 Bulukumba dapat mengolah dan memahami informasi dengan baik untuk mencegah perilaku seks bebas.

Abstract

Background : Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease caused by genetic factors, which is characterized by a deficiency in insulin production by the pancreas and/or due to ineffective insulin production, thereby increasing the concentration of glucose in the blood, which in turn damages various body systems, because diabetics Mellitus is often not aware of this disease and only finds out about it when symptoms of the disease appear and complications begin. Methods : This type of research is quantitative with a pre-experimental type, one-group pretest-posttest with a total sample of 50 people using the Accidental Sampling technique. The pre-experimental research design uses a one-group pretest-posttest design approach, where this research will reveal the effect between variables by involving one group of subjects. Results : This study shows that the results of the paired t test show knowledge of diabetic foot care with a value of ρ-value = 0.000 (<α = 0.05), and skills of diabetic foot care with a value of ρ-value = 0.000 which means there is no effect of education health knowledge and skills of diabetic foot care in patients with type II diabetes mellitus. Conclusion : Efforts to provide education through the application of the blended learning method will increase the knowledge and skills of diabetic foot care to prevent the risk of diabetic foot injuries in type II DM sufferers. This research provides information for health workers (nurses), it is hoped that they will add information or literature, especially regarding the knowledge and skills of treating diabetic feet in patients with type II DM in caring for feet.

Abstract

Leukemia merupakan salah satu penyakit yang paling umun dialami oleh anak pada usia dibawah 15 tahun. Angka kejadian leukemia mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya khususnya pada sebagian negara maju. Leukemia yang dialami anak dapat menurunkan efikasi diri dan kualitas hidupnya. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis edukasi psikososial yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup anak dengan leukemia. Artikel ini menggunakan metode Scoping Review. Pencarian berbasis elektronik dari 4 databases (PubMed, ScienceDirect, Oxford Academic Journal, Sage journal) dengan pendekatan analisis pada jurnal yang sesuai dengan tujuan penulisan. Dari pencarian didapatkan 1.772 artikel dan terdapat 6 artikel yang di review. hasil review beberapa edukasi psikososial yang efektif dan dapat diterapkan yaitu, meningkatkan pengetahuan terkait strategi koping yang efektif (Cognitive Behavioral Intervention), edukasi sleep hygiene dan relaksasi sebelum tidur, motivasi dan konseling, serta terapi permainan kognitif. Kesimpulan: Intervensi edukasi psikososial tersebut dapat diterapkan pada anak dengan leukemia baik di klinik maupun di lingkungan komunitas.

Abstract

Background: Dental health problems such as caries are still mostly experienced by elementary school-aged children in Indonesia. Health education is one of the preventive strategies employed to mitigate these problems. Dental health education was chosen as a PkM activity at SDN Kapasa. Objectives: The objective of this activity was to enhance students’ knowledge and attitudes regarding the maintenance of dental health. Methods: The approach used in this activity involved lectures supplemented by audiovisual media. A questionnaire was administered twice, before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the intervention, to assess students' knowledge and attitudes. Data were analyzed using a frequency distribution test. Results: The pre-test results indicated that a majority of students had inadequate knowledge (46.4%) and attitudes (82.1%). In contrast, the post-test results indicated an improvement in knowledge (57.1% rated as good; 42.9% rated as adequate) and attitudes ( 46.4% rated good; 35.7% rated adequate). These findings suggest that dental health education can substantially improve both the knowledge and attitudes of students at SDN Kapasa.

Abstract

Kecemasan menjelang operasi Sectio Caesarea merupakan masalah umum yang dapat memberikan dampak negatif terhadap kondisi fisiologis maupun psikologis ibu, serta berpotensi memengaruhi kesejahteraan janin. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, salah satu intervensi non-farmakologis yang dapat dilakukan adalah terapi Guided Imagery and Music (GIM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas teknik GIM dalam menurunkan tingkat kecemasan pada ibu hamil yang akan menjalani operasi Sectio Caesarea. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan desain pre-test dan post-test. Subjek penelitian adalah ibu hamil trimester III yang mengalami kecemasan tingkat sedang hingga berat berdasarkan hasil pengukuran menggunakan instrumen Pregnancy-Related Anxiety Questionnaire–Revised 2 (PRAQ-R2). Intervensi GIM diberikan dua kali sehari selama dua hari berturut-turut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan signifikan pada tingkat kecemasan setelah dilakukan terapi GIM. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa teknik Guided Imagery and Music efektif dan aman digunakan sebagai metode non-farmakologis untuk membantu ibu hamil merasa lebih tenang dan siap menghadapi proses persalinan. Selain itu, penerapan GIM juga mendukung pendekatan keperawatan holistik yang memperhatikan keseimbangan aspek fisik, psikologis, dan emosional pasien.
