Abstract

Objective: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of deep back massage and effleurage massage on reducing the intensity of labor pain in the active phase of the 1st stage of primiparous mothers at the Batang Health Center. Methods: This study uses a quantitative design with the method experimental quasi by using one shot with case study. Results: The results showed that the effleurage massase group was more effective than the deep back massage group, which can be proven by the value of the Mann Withney test p = 0.006 . This can be seen from the post test value of the effleurage massase technique with a total of 16 respondents, of which 13 respondents were in moderate pain intensity and 3 respondents were in severe pain. While the deep back massage technique with a total of 16 respondents, where and 11 respondents were at moderate pain level, and 5 respondents were at severe pain intensity. Discussion: Giving effleurage massase and deep back massage techniques is very effective because after being given the treatment, the results show a decrease in pain intensity in pregnant women who experience pain during the first stage of labor in the active phase. Conclusion: The administration of the effleurage massage technique is more effective than the deep back massage technique in reducing the intensity of labor pain in the active phase of the first stage in primiparous mothers at the Batang Health Center. Suggestion: It is expected that midwives and maternity nurses can provide health care in the form of deep back massage and effleurage massage repeatedly to primiparous mothers who experience labor pain in the first stage of active phase

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Ibu hamil termasuk salah satu kelompok yang rawan gizi. Asupan gizi ibu hamil sangat berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan janin. Asupan energi dan protein yang tidak mencukupi pada ibu hamil juga dapat menyebabkan Kurang Energi Kronis (KEK) dan juga menjadi penyebab tidak langsung kematian ibuTujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang gizi kehamilan dengan kejadian kurang energi kronik (KEK) pada kehamilan.Metode: Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode Survey Cross Sectional Study. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan total sampling sebanyak 28 orang. Instrument penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner.Hasil: berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh terdapat ibu yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 13 orang (46,4%), dibandingkan dengan ibu yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan cukup yaitu 9 orang (32,1%), dengan yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan baik yaitu sebesar 6 orang (21,4%); dan hubungan antara dua variabel yaitu pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang gizi kehamilan dengan KEK pada kehamilan di Puskesmas Jongaya Makassar dengan hasil analisis Chi-Square dengan alternative uji fisher’s exact test diperoleh nilai p = 0,026 lebih besar dari α = 0,05, ini berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima.Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang gizi kehamilan dengan kejadian kurang energi kronik pada kehamilan dengan nilai p = 0.026 > α = 0,05 sehingga diharapkan petugas pelayanan kesehatan khususnya perawat maternitas untuk lebih aktif dalam memberikan edukasi dan konseling kepada masyarakat terutama ibu hamil yang beresiko KEK.

Abstract

Background: Complete primary immunization is an important infectious disease prevention program for infants. The main obstacle to the success of infant immunization is the low level of awareness of mothers in bringing their babies to be immunized. This can be influenced by the lack of knowledge of mothers regarding the importance of primary immunization in infants, for this reason, education is needed. This study aimed to determine whether health education affects mothers' knowledge about complete primary immunization for infants. Design: This study used a quantitative and pre-experimental design (one group pretest-posttest design). The sample size in this study was 64 people, with the technique sampling purposive sampling. The intervention given in this study was health education using leaflet media. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire. The data in this study were analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Results: There was a significant difference in knowledge (positive rating) before and after being given health education about complete primary immunization for infants (p<0.001). Conclusion: There was an effect of health education on mother's knowledge about complete primary immunization for infants. Suggestion: There is still a need for further series of studies with other methods and variables

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to determine The effect of the audiovisual recording imagination guidance method on hospitalization stress in school-age children at Bhayangkara Hospital Makassar. Methods: This study uses a quantitative design with a quasi-experimental method only post-test with control group design. Results: The results of the study using the Mann-Whitney test showed that there was a significant difference (p 0.022) between the audiovisual recording imagination guidance method group and the control group. Discussion: Providing imagination guidance on audio-visual recordings affects reducing hospitalization stress levels in school-age children (6-12 years). Conclusion: The audio-visual recording imagination guidance method is more influential in reducing hospitalization stress in school-age children. Suggestion: It is expected that pediatric nurses will be able to apply the audiovisual recording imagination guidance method to the school-age children with a nursing process approach.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of health education on the early detection of deviations in emotional behavior of preschool children using the blended learning method on the knowledge and skills of PAUD teachers in the Tamalanrea District, Makassar City. The research method used was a quasi-experimental pre-post with a control group design. The results showed a significant difference in the mean knowledge and skills scores between the intervention group and the control group (p<0.001). It is known that there is no significant difference in the mean pre-test scores of knowledge and skills between the two groups (p>0.05). However, the mean post-test scores showed a significant difference between the two groups, where the mean scores of knowledge and skills in the intervention group were higher than the control group (p<0.05). In conclusion, the blended learning method significantly affects the knowledge and skills of PAUD teachers regarding the early detection of emotional behavior problems. Abstract

The incidence of stunting in toddlers is one of the nutritional problems globally. Based on UNICEF data 2012-2018, the prevalence of stunting in the world reached 28%, in Eastern and Southern Africa by 40%, and in South Asia by 38%. When compared to the limit of "non-public health problem" according to the WHO for stunting problems of 20%, almost all countries in the world experience public health problems. The incidence of stunting in toddlers is more common in developing countries. This is evidenced by the number of stunting prevalence in toddlers in developing countries of 30%. Children will be stunted in their growth due to a lack of adequate food intake and recurrent infectious diseases that cause increased metabolic needs and reduced appetite. This can lead to increased malnutrition in children. This situation will make it more difficult to overcome growth disorders that ultimately have the opportunity to cause stunting. The purpose of this study is to find out the factors related to the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 24-59 months in the Working Area of the Sawah Besar Health Center, Central Jakarta.   This type of research is quantitative with a Cross-Sectional design. The research approach used is a quantitative approach, namely the use of questionnaires and survey research techniques which are components of quantitative research. The results of the analysis show that the majority of mothers are in productive age, but there are also young and old mothers who face different challenges in parenting. The mother's education level is generally low, affecting parenting and nutrition. Preschool-age children are predominantly female, and most have normal height and weight, although some are at risk of stunting, especially with short height or low birth weight. The majority of children receive complementary foods as recommended, although a small number get them too early. Mothers' knowledge of nutrition is still mixed, with many lacking understanding, indicating the need for intensive education. Educational factors, feeding patterns, birth weight, and maternal knowledge are closely related to the risk of stunting, requiring strategic interventions to improve children's health.

Abstract

Keadaan darurat dan bencana alam memengaruhi kesehatan dan kesejahteraan jutaan orang setiap tahunnya, termasuk anak usia sekolah dan remaja. dampak negatif bencana terhadap pendidikan sangatlah besar, hal ini menunjukkan pentingnya kesiapsiagaan dan tanggap darurat bencana di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensintesis artikel terkait kesiapsiagaan dan tanggap darurat bencana pada siswa di sekolah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode scoping review. Pencarian literatur dilakukan pada database seperti Scopus, CINAHL, Medline dan ScienceDirect dari bulan Maret hingga Juni 2024. Hasil: dari 347 artikel yang ditemukan, 8 artikel dipilih untuk disintesis. Tiga tema utama yang muncul adalah pengetahuan dan sikap siswa, efektivitas program pendidikan bencana, serta keterlibatan sekolah. Studi menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan bencana mempunyai dampak positif terhadap pengetahuan dan kesiapsiagaan siswa. Kesimpulan: pendidikan kebencanaan di sekolah membantu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap siswa dalam menghadapi bencana alam. Penerapan program pendidikan kebencanaan yang efektif di sekolah penting dilakukan untuk meminimalisir dampak negatif bencana alam terhadap anak. The negative impact of disasters on education is substantial, underscoring the importance of disaster preparedness and response in school. This study aims to synthesize articels on school preparedness and disaster response. Method: this study employed the scoping review method. We conducted literature searches in database such as Scopus, CINAHL, Medline, and ScienceDirect from March to June 2024. Results: we selected 8 out of 347 identified articles for synthesis. Three main themes emerged: students’ knowledge and attitudes, the effectiveness of disaster education programs, and school preparedness and response. The studies indicate that disaster education in school has a positive impact on students’ knowledge and preparedness. Conclusion: Disaster education in schools significantly enhances students’ knowledge and attitudes in dealing with disasters. Implementing effective disaster education programs in schools is crucial for minimizing the negative impacts of disasters on children and adolescents. Abstract

Asma merupakan penyakit kronis yang menyebabkan peradangan saluran napas dan mempengaruhi jutaan orang di seluruh dunia, termasuk di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara pengetahuan mahasiswa keperawatan tentang asma dan keterampilan mereka dalam menggunakan inhaler. Metode yang digunakan adalah desain kuantitatif deskriptif korelasional, melibatkan 100 mahasiswa program studi S1 Keperawatan di STIKes RS Husada. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor pengetahuan mahasiswa adalah 42,26, dengan 61,5% di antaranya memiliki keterampilan baik dalam penggunaan inhaler. Analisis korelasi Spearman menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif signifikan antara pengetahuan tentang asma dan keterampilan penggunaan inhaler (koefisien korelasi 0,449). Selain pengetahuan, faktor lain seperti pengalaman klinis dan dukungan instruktur juga berkontribusi pada keterampilan mahasiswa. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya pendidikan dan pelatihan yang berkelanjutan untuk mempersiapkan mahasiswa keperawatan dalam manajemen asma, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas perawatan pasien di lingkungan klinis.

Abstract

Ergonomi berperan penting dalam menjaga kesehatan dan kenyamanan dalam aktivitas sehari-hari. Keluhan muskuloskeletal dapat menghambat gerakan dan kelincahan tubuh, yang menyebabkan pensiun dini, menurunkan kesejahteraan, serta membatasi kemampuan berinteraksi dalam kehidupan sosial.   Penelitian ini menggunakan metode scoping review untuk mengetahui intervensi ergonomi dalam mengurangi keluhan muskuloskeletal yang diterapkan pada pekerja kantor. Proses pencarian menggunakan populasi, konsep dan konteks sesuai dengan tujuan penulisan melalui database PubMed, ScienceDirect, Sage Journals, dan Cochrane yang diterbitkan antara 2014 sampai 2024. Proses seleksi yang dilakukan menggunakan metode Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) dan melakukan Critical Appraisal menggunakan The Joanna Briggs Institute checklist. Hasil Penelitian dari 221 didapatkan 6 artikel yang dipilih dalam review ini. Beberapa intervensi ergonomi yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengurangi keluhan muskuloskeletal pada pekerja kantor diantaranya Workstation adjustments, Ergonomic and Exercise training (EET) dan ergonomic and health promotion (EHP) Ergonomic, Organization, dan Education. Stretching exercise training dan modifikasi ergonomic, Online-supervised versus workplace corrective exercises dan Ergonomic intervention, workplace exercises. Kesimpulan intervensi ergonomi tersebut dapat diterapkan pada pekerja kantor dengan keluhan muskuloskeletal.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Infeksi daerah operasi (IDO) merupakan masalah kesehatan global dengan prevalensi 3-35%. Di Indonesia, angka infeksi nosokomial (HAIs) mencapai 9,1%, berdampak pada peningkatan biaya perawatan dan perpanjangan masa rawat inap. Salah satu upaya pencegahan adalah melalui perawatan luka pasca operasi yang efektif. Namun, keterlambatan deteksi infeksi luka pada pasien rawat jalan masih sering terjadi, sehingga diperlukan inovasi teknologi untuk memfasilitasi kontrol luka secara mandiri. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji efektivitas aplikasi mobile berbasis Android, KLOP (Kontrol Luka Post Operasi), sebagai alat bantu mahasiswa keperawatan dalam pengkajian dan perawatan luka pasca operasi, serta mengurangi angka IDO dan infeksi nosokomial. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode research and development (R&D) dengan pendekatan prototyping. Tahapan meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan pengguna, pembuatan prototype, pengujian fungsionalitas, dan evaluasi kualitas aplikasi berdasarkan standar ISO 25010. Pengujian melibatkan 57 mahasiswa keperawatan dan dosen di STIKes RS Husada Jakarta. Hasil: Aplikasi KLOP berhasil dikembangkan dengan fitur utama pengkajian luka berdasarkan skala Bates-Jensen, penentuan grading luka, da rekomendasi perawatan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan kualitas aplikasi sangat baik dengan skor 84,58% berdasarkan ISO 25010, mencakup functional suitability (89,54%), usability (79,51%), dan performance efficiency (88,59%). Kesimpulan: Aplikasi KLOP efektif dalam membantu mahasiswa keperawatan melakukan pengkajian dan perawatan luka pasca operasi, serta berpotensi mengurangi angka IDO dan infeksi nosokomial. Aplikasi ini dapat menjadi alat pendukung penting dalam praktik klinik keperawatan medikal bedah.
