Abstract

SUCOFINDO BATAM. Kadar logam Pb tertinggi pada titik kedua yaitu sebesar 2,105 mg/L. Hasi analisis sampel air laut pada ketiga titik tersebut teridentifikasi telah melawati ambang batas baku mutu berdasarkan ketetapan Mentri Lingkungan Hidup Tahun 2004 No. 51 Lampiran II yaitu sebesar 0.005 mg/L.

Abstract

Juvenile delinquency in secondary education environments is a multidimensional problem that includes violent behavior, bullying, and risky sexual behavior, which impacts adolescents' psychosocial development and the school climate. This study aims to analyze the role of preventive health education as a strategy to prevent juvenile delinquency in secondary education settings. The study uses a descriptive qualitative design with a contextual approach, conducted at a secondary school in an urban area. The research subjects include students, teachers, and guidance counselors directly involved in preventive health education activities. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, semi-structured interviews, and document studies, while data analysis employed thematic analysis with source and technique triangulation. The research results indicate that preventive health education conducted through counseling and interactive discussions can increase adolescents' understanding of the concepts of violence, bullying, and the risks of risky sexual behavior. Students showed increased awareness of healthy behavioral boundaries, openness in discussions, and active participation during activities. Teachers and counselors assessed that preventive health education helps in efforts to prevent adolescent problems in schools. This study concludes that preventive health education plays a strategic role in preventing juvenile delinquency and needs to be sustainably integrated into school programs to support healthy and adaptive adolescent development.

Abstract

Cyclin-dependent kinase 5 (Cdk5) is a serine/threonine protein kinase, which forms the p35 or p39 active complex that is expressed predominantly in neurons. Cdk5 plays an important role in physiological functions in non-neural cells such as glucose-stimulated insulin secretion in pancreatic cells. This study aims to explore and determine the effectiveness of the chemical compound Oleracein E (OL-E) in the Portulaca oleracea (PO) as an anti- diabetic when expressed on Cdk5 protein. The test was carried out in silico with a computer- aided drug design method in which the molecular docking process used software such as Pyrx 0.8. The results of this study indicate that OL-E has the potential as an antidiabetic by inhibiting Cdk5 and has 27.65% better effectiveness than metformin in inhibiting Cdk5.

Abstract

Abstract

Plants have several ways to protect themselves from bacteria, one of which is by producing compounds that are toxic or repellent to bacteria. Compounds produced by plants are known as secondary metabolite compounds which originate from secondary metabolic processes. Several secondary metabolite compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, tannins, steroids and terpenoids are currently widely used as antibacterials. One of the plants that has the potential to be developed as a herbal medicine is kaffir lime leaves. Citrus hystrix is the part of the plant most often used by the public. Both for cooking and traditional medicine purposes. In this research, it is hoped that lime peel extract can act as an antibacterial for Escherichia coli and staphylococcus aereus, so that it can be used as a herbal plant for diseases caused by these two bacteria. In the research, the concentrations used for each test bacteria were 50%; 25%; 12.5%. in observing S. aureus bacteria 1x24 hours with a concentration of 50%, the size of the inhibitory zone was 16 mm, the 25% concentration was 11 mm and the 12.5% concentration was 9 mm. Meanwhile, E. Coli bacteria did not show any reaction to the heruk peel extract.
