Abstract

ABSTRACT BMKG has a role to disseminate geo-hydrometeorological information in the fields of Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics. The dissemination process requires data from BMKG operational equipment spread across 183 Technical Implementation Units (UPT) throughout Indonesia. The recorded data must be collected and disseminated using a communication network. The existing network monitoring system currently at BMKG uses the PRTG monitoring application but can only be accessed by central employees. Thus, a system that can be accessed by regional employees to see the condition of the communication network in each UPT is needed, so that it can support operations. This paper discusses monitoring system and communication network metadata design with notifications using telegrams that can be adapted for operations at BMKG called NetTa (Network Metadata). The system consists of a network monitoring dashboard, provider rental metadata dashboard, network monitoring notifications via Telegram bots. The system operates in real time and can be accessed from anywhere using a smartphone and PC. The results of functional testing show that monitoring system of all existing features on the system can be accessed according to the design. Telegram notifications can provide network device status as well as warnings if there is a communication network interruption based on the monitored sensor code Keywords : Monitoring, Network, UPT BMKG, Telegram, Metadata

Abstract

This study examines the application of digital hand lettering combined with orchid floral motifs as an effort to create aesthetic and innovative visual artwork. The aim of this research is to explore digital hand lettering techniques and blend them with flora-based design elements, specifically orchids, which hold high artistic value and strong cultural symbolism. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, where data is collected through a literature review on hand lettering. The findings indicate that integrating orchid motifs into digital hand lettering not only enriches the visual appeal of the artwork but also adds unique and distinctive aesthetics. The resulting creations from this application have great potential for use across various media, such as posters, invitations, and commercial product designs. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the application of digital hand lettering with orchid motifs can serve as an intriguing alternative in modern graphic design, contributing to the development of creativity and innovation in the creative industry.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop validation instruments for Indonesian language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) teaching materials based on the Pancasila Student Profile (P3) that is contextual and relevant for students of the Indonesian Basic Knowledge Course (KPDI) in Mindanao, Southern Philippines. KPDI is an initiative of the Indonesian Consulate General in Davao City as a form of Indonesian education service, which would serve as a bridge to formal education at the Indonesian School of Davao (SID). This research used a step of research and development (R&D) approach with a 4D model (define, design, develop, disseminate), which focuses on the develop step, specifically the development of instruments to test the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of teaching materials being developed. The instruments developed include validation questionnaires by experts in terms of material, language, media, and graphics; observation sheets; teacher and student response questionnaires; as well as reading comprehension tests, which are analyzed using the N-Gain test. It is hoped that the results of the instruments developed can become a reference in preparing BIPA teaching materials, which not only improve students' Indonesian language skills but also instill Indonesian national character values through the Pancasila Student Profile approach.

Abstract

The journal aims to explore the various challenges faced by students in the learning process, particularly focusing on the factors contributing to learning difficulties. Employing qualitative research methods, the study gathers data through interviews, observations, and literature reviews to understand the experiences of students with learning difficulties. Key findings indicate that these difficulties can stem from a combination of cognitive, emotional, and environmental factors, highlighting the importance of early identification and intervention to support affected students. The journal emphasizes the need for educators and policymakers to develop tailored strategies and resources to assist students facing learning challenges. Additionally, it recommends future research to explore specific interventions and their effectiveness in diverse educational settings. Ultimately, addressing learning difficulties is crucial for fostering an inclusive educational environment that promotes the success of all students.
