Abstract

The use of eco-friendly shopping bags needs to be encouraged to reduce the use of plastic bags. According to the results of observations and interviews, it is known that the interest of students in using environmentally friendly shopping bags is still low. The aim of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the intention of students in using environmentally friendly shopping bags in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This study uses multiple linear regression method. Purposive sampling is applied, with a sample of students from 5 universities as many as 100 respondents. Variables in this study using the development of Theory of Planned Behavior by adding variables of environmental awareness and support for the Prohibition of plastic bags. The results showed the correlation coefficient of 0.781 and the coefficient of determination of 0.609, which means there is a strong linear relationship between the dependent variable and all independent variables. Attitude variables, behavioral control and support for the Prohibition of plastic bags bags proved to have a significant effect on the intention to use environmentally friendly shopping bags for each value of regression coefficients were 0.221, 0.400 and 0.158, while the subjective norms and environmental awareness variables had no significant effect. For this reason, recommendations are given to variables that are proven to have a significant effect. Attitude variables are encouraged by promoting the use of environmentally friendly shopping bags to the public through various media, while for behavioral control variables, socialization needs to be carried out to the public regarding the importance of using environmentally friendly shopping bags and the adverse effects of using plastic bags. For recommendations related to variable support for the Prohibition of plastic bags can be done by encouraging plastic bag manufacturers to produce plastic bags from environmentally friendly materials (bioplastics).

Abstract

Physical distancing policy as the response to pandemic covid-19 has forced the educational institutes to provide online learning for the students. The students and lecturer have to adapt to using online platforms to continue the learning activities. An E-learning platform is needed for distance learning. This research aims to analyze the preference of e-learning platforms among Google Classroom, Youtube, Whatsapp, and Zoom for students in a private university in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, using the Analytical Hierarchy Process approach. Several criteria are formulated for determining the e-learning platform based on the students’ common difficulties during online-based learning, namely service of platform, learning comprehension, internet usage, and network strength. The result shows that learning comprehension has the highest weight (0.363), followed by network strength (0.258), internet usage (0.230), and platform service (0.149). Learning comprehension has become the most important criterion that students consider on selecting an e-learning platform. The final result from the Analytical Hierarchy Process approach proposes the best alternative e-learning platform for students based on the previous criteria. Based on the research, Whatsapp is an e-learning platform with the highest weight of 0.359. Therefore, it is determined for recommendation as to the most suitable e-learning platform for students. It has a high local weight based on each criterion considered in selecting an e-learning platform. The result of this study is expected to be input for lecturers and education institutions to evaluate the platforms they use and e-learning processes.

Abstract

Handphone (HP) bagi siswa dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran. Namun,  penggunaan HP yang salah juga menyebabkan dampak negatif. Siswa di kota Yogyakarta yang dikenal memiliki kualitas pendidikan baik, juga rentan mengalami dampak negatif. Hal ini terutama bagi siswa SMP yang berada pada usia remaja awal. Terlebih adanya pandemi COVID-19 menyebabkan frekuensi penggunaan HP pada siswa meningkat karena adanya pembelajaran daring. Saat ini tiap sekolah memiliki kebijakan yang berbeda berkaitan dengan penggunaan HP oleh siswa di sekolah. Belum adanya forum yang mempertemukan perwakilan dari SMP di kota Yogyakarta menyebabkan belum diketahui secara detail berkaitan aturan tersebut. Untuk itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran aturan penggunaan HP saat ini dan memberikan usulan kebijakan berkaitan pemanfaatan teknologi dan penggunaan HP di sekolah oleh siswa SMP di kota Yogyakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kombinasi kuantitatif-kualitatif, dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan transkrip dan koding. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu 14 SMP di kota Yogyakarta yang mewakili setiap cluster sekolah. Analisis deskriptif dilakukan berdasarkan hasil kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada responden siswa, sedangkan teknik transkrip dan koding digunakan berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan kepala sekolah, guru, siswa, orangtua siswa, dan UPT Layanan Disabilitas (ULD). Hasil wawancara menjadi acuan untuk rumusan kebijakan berkaitan aturan penggunaan HP untuk siswa SMP. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dengan kepala sekolah dan ULD juga dilakukan untuk mengkonfirmasi hasil sementara peelitian dan menerima masukan. Hasil menunjukkan, SMP di kota Yogyakarta saat ini memiliki 2 jenis aturan yang diterapkan. Aturan tersebut yaitu: 1) siswa dilarang membawa HP ke sekolah; 2) siswa dibolehkan membawa HP ke sekolah tetapi harus dikumpulkan di loker kelas ataupun dititipkan untuk disimpan guru atau TU. Namun, kedua aturan tersebut mengizinkan siswa membawa HP ke kelas apabila guru meminta penggunaan HP sebagai media pembelajaran. Akibatnya terjadi penyalahgunaan HP untuk keperluan di luar pembelajaran. Untuk itu rancangan usulan kebijakan yang dibuat bagi sekolah terdiri dari 3 hal, yaitu: 1). Sosialisasi pada guru, siswa, dan orangtua siswa tentang pentingnya mendampingi siswa dalam penggunaan HP dan aturan sekolah tentang penggunaan HP; 2) Aturan penggunaan HP bagi siswa SMP di sekolah, yaitu siswa dibolehkan membawa HP ke sekolah tetapi harus dikumpulkan di loker kelas ataupun dititipkan untuk disimpan guru atau TU dalam keadaan mati dan dapat diambil kembali setelah jam pelajaran pada hari tersebut selesai; 3) HP tidak boleh digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di dalam kelas. Namun, HP dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran di luar sekolah.

Abstract

Diantara produk yang banyak dikonsumsi masyarakat yang berpotensi besar merusak lingkungan adalah popok sekali pakai karena komposisi bahan yang sulit terurai di alam seperti plastik dan Super Absorbent Polimer (SAP). Popok kain ini dianggap lebih ramah lingkungan. Hanya saja jumlah pengguna popok sekali pakai tetap lebih banyak, khususnya di daerah berkembang seperti Kabupaten Bantul. Untuk itu dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap niat penggunaan popok ramah lingkungan ini. Faktor yang diteliti adalah:  sikap terhadap penggunaan green product, norma subyektif, perceived behavioral control, kepedulian terhadap lingkungan, perceived risk, dan personal norm. Pengolahan data dielakukan dengan regresi berganda. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh fungsi regresi: Niat= 0,058sikap + 0,284SN + 0,390PBC + 0,032KL – 0,026PR + 0,118Norm. Berdasarkan uji t didapat kesimpulan bahwa faktor yang signifikan berpengaruh adalah perceived behavioral control, norma subyektif, dan personal norm.

Abstract

The driving factors of intentions as a used cooking oil collection facility: a conceptual model. The reverse logistics (RL) flow characteristics include scattered supply sources and uncertain supply quantities. This characteristic also applies to the flow of used cooking oil, which is one of the ends of used products that can be managed through RL activities. In addition, there is no regular mechanism for collecting used cooking oil from food service businesses and households. The current collection process is handled by third parties whose main aim is for economic gain. On the other hand, to create a sustainable cooking oil supply chain that provides economic benefits and realizes environmental sustainability and social responsibility, it is necessary to take responsibility for food service business actors as producers of used cooking oil. This form of responsibility can be in the willingness to serve as a facility for collecting used cooking oil. The willingness of a food service business to serve as a collection facility is, of course, influenced by certain factors. This research proposes a conceptual model of the driving factors for the willingness of food service businesses to serve as used cooking oil collection facilities. This conceptual model was built based on a literature review and adjustments to the current RL flow conditions of the used cooking oil. The conceptual model formed can be used as a basis for empirical research on food service business actors.

Abstract

The growth of the number of companies engaged in delivery services has given rise to intensified market competition. Therefore, companies need to provide the best service quality by considering competitor performance to win market competition. This study aims to analyse the quality of delivery services based on service quality attributes in SERVQUAL and location factor. The case study was conducted at X as the focal company and Y as a competitor. The research instrument used a questionnaire containing questions related to the level of service importance and the perceived service for each company, as well as the level of desired service by consumers. A total of 100 respondents, specifically individuals utilising service provided by X and Y, were surveyed using the purposive sampling technique.. Data analysis was carried out with CZSQ-CZIPA technique to facilitate a comprehensive evaluation of the services quality provided by the company, with a particular focus on consumer desires and make service quality from competitors as a minimum limit of services provided. The results showed that there were 6 service attributes with a CZSQ value < 0, which means that consumers feel dissatisfied with the services of J&T Express. Furthermore, it was established that 16 service attributes are situated to the left of the ideal line, indicating that service quality provided by X was lower than Y. A mapping on the CZIPA matrix indicated that there were five attributes situated within quadrant A, which signifies the necessity for improvement. They are timeliness of delivery, responsiveness to complaints and information to consumers, media available for criticism and suggestions, and ease of access to agent locations. The attribute with the highest priority for improvement is timeliness of delivery. The findings of this study are expected to be reference for company to allocate its resources for improving the service quality in accordance with the identified priorities.

Abstract

There are several factors considered by students toward determining the major and higher education institution. As a result, determining the best choices for further studies becomes difficult. Moreover, there are many choices of higher education. This study contributes to developing a decision support system (DSS) to help students determine the major and higher education institution considered several criteria based on Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Several criteria and subcriteria were chosen by distributing 186 questionnaires to final grade students. Based on the result, criteria and subcriteria used were tuition fee, scholarship, infrastructure (library, classroom, laboratory, transportation, teaching staff), curriculum, quality (accreditation, study period, achievement), reputation, and international collaboration. According to these criteria and sub-criteria, a DSS was built to help students determine their major and higher education institution according to their preferences. The algorithm used was AHP, which was then built with Borland Delphi. Context Diagram, Data Flow Diagram (DFD), and Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) were made as a guide to design the DSS. This DSS was tested using black box test, beta test and compatibility test with manual calculations. The black box test showed that the DSS has performed the functions according to the design. Later, the beta test resulted in a correctness score of 20.4, reliability of 16.8, usability of 25.5, which means they were in the very good category and integrity of 3.4, which means good. Meanwhile, based on manual calculations, the DSS provides output in accordance with the results of manual calculations.
