Abstract

Permasalahan budidaya kacang hijau di Indonesia adalah produktivitas yang masih rendah dan lahan budidaya yang terbatas, sehingga dapat diatasi dengan mengoptimalkan lahan marginal seperti tanah ultisol untuk kegiatan budidaya kacang hijau. Tujuan pene-litian ini adalah untuk mengetahui varietas kacang hijau dan jenis pupuk organik yang mampu menghasilkan produksi tinggi di tanah ultisol. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan polibag di Screen House, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman pada bulan Juli-September 2015. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah varietas kacang hijau yang terdiri atas tiga varietas, yaitu Vima 1, Betet, dan Murai. Faktor kedua adalah jenis pupuk, yaitu tanpa pupuk (kontrol), pupuk kandang ayam, pupuk bokashi rumen sapi, dan pupuk bokashi limbah sayuran pasar. Variable yang diamati antara lain jumlah cabang per tanaman, jumlah polong isi per tanaman, bobot biji per tanaman, bobot 100 biji, dan indeks panen. Hasil penelitian menun-jukkan bahwa pupuk organik kandang ayam dan pupuk bokhasi rumen sapi mampu meningkatkan hasil kacang hijau. Kata kunci: Kacang hijau ∙ Pupuk organik ∙ Ultisol

Abstract

Most residents in Sokawera Village work as farmers. Population income figures are relatively low, averaging less than IDR 10,000/capita/day. Sokawera village has local potentials that have not been optimally managed, namely independent cattle farms and smallholder coconut plantations. The aim of this activity is to empower the community to optimize the management of eco-friendly integrated agriculture sourced from local potential to support the realization of an energy self-sufficient village. The strategy used in this activity is through the PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) approach through the methods of education, training, demonstration plots, and assistance and are equipped with learning techniques while working (learning by doing). This activity began with the implementation of extension activities and transfer of knowledge about the benefits of eco-friendly integrated agriculture, training on the making and utilization of local resources to support the optimization of the management of eco-friendly integrated farming systems such as cattle dung into biogas, biogas waste into liquid and solid organic fertilizers, and coconut shell waste into liquid smoke biopesticides, training in making demonstrations and plots (demonstration plots) of healthy vegetable cultivation, training in processing local agricultural products into value-added products, and training in product marketing strategies through the design and manufacture of attractive product packaging. This activity provides knowledge and skills to the target community regarding the management of local potential such as cow dung waste and coconut shell to optimize environmentally friendly integrated agriculture. This activity is also a starting point for the realization of an energy self-sufficient village. Biogas which is processed from livestock manure is used successfully to replace LPG.

Abstract

The Ngudi Tani farmer group is one of the farmer groups in Bobosan Village, North Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency. The rice fields in the Bobosan village area have irrigation system and the water is always available throughout the year, however rice farming has not been applied environmentally friendly agricultural system yet. Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) of urine rabbit with quince bengal fruit could apply as substitution of fertilizer and pesticide synthetics.The purpose of this service activity was to increase understanding and knowledge about organic farming systems with the application of LOF in lowland rice and how to make rabbit urine LOF. Methods of activities were carried out through counseling and training related to LOF application in rice fields and makes use of rabbit urine LOF. The rice field plot was focused on the appropriate way of working and techniques in supporting rice production through the application of rabbit urine LOF. Counseling, training, demonstration plots and rabbit livestock introduction is successful even though not to all members of the farmer groups. The knowledge and skills of farmers have increased regarding rabbit livestock and processing of urine into liquid organic fertilizer and its application to lowland rice. The introduction of rabbit urine LOF in lowland rice cultivation has been responded positively by some members of farmer groups and farmers have understood the procedure for processing rabbit urine waste into liquid organic fertilizer and its application in rice plants.

Abstract

TG4 and SR2 were isolates of indigenous bacteria from cassava roots from Banyumas Regency, Central Java. Both are local isolates from marginal lands that can be developed as biofertilizers. This study aimed to determine the potential characteristics of bacterial isolates TG4 and SR2 in supporting the growth of superior upland rice and determining species identity based on the molecular analysis of 16S rRNA. Bacterial isolates TG4 and SR2 were determined for their potency of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) by fixing N2, dissolving phosphate, and producing Indole Acetic acid (IAA). Bioassays were carried out on TG4 and SR2 isolates by application of bacterial isolates (B0 = control, B1 = TG4, B2 = isolates SR2, B3 = isolates TG4 and SR2) on superior upland rice (V1 = INPAGO UNSOED 1, V2 = UNSOED PARIMAS, V3 = INPAGO 8) in sterile ultisol soil. The F test was used for bioassay data analysis, and if there was a significant difference, it was further tested with Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with an error rate of 5%. The identity of bacterial species TG4 and SR2 was obtained by analyzing 16S rRNA sequences and genetic relationships through phylogenetic trees. The results showed that the isolates of TG4 were phosphate solubilizing bacteria and producers of IAA, while the isolates of SR2 were nitrogen fixing, phosphate solubilizing, and IAA producers. The application of bacterial isolates TG4 and SR2 significantly affected root length wet and dry weight of upland rice plants, with the highest value obtained from using a consortium of TG4 and SR2 bacteria. Bacterial isolates TG4 were identified as Bacillus albus, while SR2 as B. Paramycoides. Bacterial isolates TG4 and SR2 can be used as biofertilizers to support superior upland rice growth.

Abstract

Abstract. Organic farming systems are environmentally friendly cultivation systems because without application of external inputs of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. In order to increase the knowledge of understanding of farmers, demonstration plots of organic farming systems were carried out, especially on rice plants. The objective of this service activity is to increase knowledge and understanding and its application to the Ngudi Mratani farmer group regarding the organic method of rice systems through the application of microbial agent and rabbit urine based on results of research conducted at higher education institutions (Unsoed) that have the potential to be applied on land farmers and have high yield potency. The application of rabbit urine-based POC, coconut shell liquid smoke and Bio P 60 is applied to paddy planting demonstration plots and compared to other farmers who apply organic methods in different areas. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in the absorption of knowledge, an increase in knowledge and understanding and the potential for success of 78.5%, 79.5% and 60%, respectively, which indicated good and potentially successful criteria. The yield of rice obtained in general by application organic rice system ranges from 4.6 to 6.0 t/ha. The application of rabbit urine POC showed the best results with a production of 6.02 t/ha.Keywords: Organic rice, rabbit liquid fertilizer (POC), coconut shell liquid smoke, Bio P 60.Abstrak. Sistem pertanian organik merupakan sistem budidaya yang ramah lingkungan karena tidak menggunakan input eksternal pupuk dan pestisida hayati. Untuk bisa meningkatkan pengetahuan pemahaman petani maka dilakukan demplot sistem pertanian organik khususnya pada tanaman padi. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman serta penerapannya pada kelompok tani Ngudi Mratani mengenai metode padi sistem organik dilakukan melalui aplikasi mikroba dan urine kelinci dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan di lembaga pendidikan tinggi (Unsoed) yang memiliki potensi untuk diterapkan di lahan petani dan memiliki daya hasil yang cukup tinggi. Aplikasi POC berbasis urine kelinci, asap cair tempurung kelapa dan Bio P 60 diterapkan pada demplot pertanaman padi dan dibandingkan dengan petani lain yang menerapkan metode organik di area yang berbeda. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatak penyerapan pengetahuan, peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman dan potensi keberhasilan masing-masing 78,5%, 79,5% dan 60% yang mengindikasikan kriteria baik dan berpotensi berhasil. Hasil padi yang diperoleh secara umum dari penerapan sistem padi organik ini berkisar antara 4,6 – 6,0 t/ha. Aplikasi POC urine kelinci menunjukan hasil terbaik dengan produksi 6,02 t/ha.Kata Kunci: Padi organik, POC urin kelinci, asap cair tempurung kelapa, Bio P 60

Abstract

Introduction of Medicinal Plant Cultivation as an Effort to Yard Utilization in Pabuwaran Village, Purwokerto, Central JavaAbstract: The residential area in Pabuwaran Village is as much as 50 percent of the total land. The yard in the residential area can be used for planting. In this community service activity, the researcher introduced the cultivation of the medicinal plant in the yard. The activities covered the preparation of the plant medium, planting, and maintenance. The objective of this community service is to convey information about the technology of medicinal plant cultivation through lectures, discussion, and demonstration of the direct practice of medicinal plant cultivation in the yard. Evaluation of the increase in participants’ knowledge was carried out by pre-test and post-test after counseling and cultivation practices. The community service team evaluated the participants' skills during a demonstration of direct practice of medicinal plant cultivation in the yard. The results of the activity showed an increase in basic knowledge of the types, benefits, and cultivation techniques of the medicinal plants after the transfer of technology. The service activities of the medicinal plant are classified as successful and beneficial because there is an increase in knowledge of around 60 percent. The skill evaluation showed that the participants were able to carry out the planting and maintenance of medicinal plants well in the yard. The medicinal plant cultivation can be used as education about an herbal plant or traditional medicinal plant for family members. It can also be consumed to maintain health condition and one of the concrete actions to green the earth.Keywords: Community service, medicinal plant, yard, Pabuwaran Village.Abstrak: Pemukiman yang ada di Kelurahan Pabuwaran mencapai 50 persen dari total lahan. Pekarangan yang ada di lahan pemukiman tersebut dapat digunakan untuk bercocok tanam. Alih teknologi yang diperkenalkan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah budidaya tanaman obat di lahan pekarangan mulai dari penanaman sampai pemeliharaan tanaman. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah menyampaikan informasi mengenai teknologi budidaya tanaman obat melalui ceramah, diskusi, dan demonstrasi praktik langsung budidaya tanaman obat di lahan pekarangan. Evaluasi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta dilakukan dengan pre- dan post-test setelah dilakukan penyuluhan dan praktik budidaya. Evaluasi ketrampilan peserta dilakukan pada saat demonstrasi praktik langsung budidaya tanaman obat di lahan pekarangan dilakukan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dasar mengenai jenis-jenis, manfaat, dan teknik budidaya tanaman obat keluarga (TOGA) dari sebelum dilakukannya alih teknologi. Kegiatan pengabdian tanaman obat tergolong berhasil dan bermanfaat, karena terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan sekitar 60 persen. Evaluasi ketrampilan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar ibu-ibu PKK mampu melakukan kegiatan penanaman dan pemeliharaan tanaman obat di lahan pekarangan dengan tepat. Hasil dari budidaya tanaman obat tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai edukasi tanaman herbal atau tanaman obat tradisional kepada anggota keluarga, dikonsumsi sebagai tindakan menjaga kesehatan tubuh dan salah satu tindakan nyata penghijauan tanaman.Kata kunci: Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, tanaman obat, lahan pekarangan, Kelurahan Pabuwaran.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Lahan tegalan di Desa Patemon belum dimanfaatkan optimal. Sebagian warga membudidayakan pepaya calina di lahan tegalan namun tingkat produksi buah pepaya yang dihasilkan masih rendah. Keterbatasan bibit pepaya unggul dan penerapan teknologi budidaya yang kurang optimal menjadi penyebab utama. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan teknologi budidaya pepaya calina menggunakan bibit unggul dan sistem pertanaman intensif di Desa Patemon, Kecamatan Bojongsari, Kabupaten Purbalingga, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Kegiatan ini melibatkan khalayak sasaran, yaitu Kelompok Tani “Warakan”. Metode yang digunakan adalah 1). Kegiatan transfer pengetahuan dan teknologi mengenai budidaya pepaya calina menggunakan bibit unggul dan sistem pertanaman intensif, 2). Pembuatan demonstrasi dan plot (demplot) pepaya seluas 1400 m2, dan 3). Pelatihan pembuatan pestisida nabati. Hasil yang diperoleh: 1). Petani mendapatkan pengetahuan dan pengalaman budidaya pepaya calina menggunakan bibit unggul dan sistem pertanaman intensif , 2). Demplot budidaya 200 bibit pepaya calina seluas 1400 m2 sebagai percontohan bagi para petani, 3). Petani mendapat pengetahuan dan keterampilan membuat pestisida nabati untuk mengendalikan hama tanaman pepaya, 4). Tanaman pepaya yang dibudidayakan berbunga dan berbuah lebih cepat, serta memiliki tinggi lebih pendek dibanding tanaman pepaya yang sudah dibudidayakan petani sebelumnya.Kata kunci: Pepaya calina, Kelompok Tani Warakan, Desa Patemon ABSTRACT: Tegalan land in Patemon Village has not been optimally utilized. Some residents cultivated papaya in Tegalan land but the production rate of papaya fruit is lower than target. This activity is aimed to apply calina papaya cultivation technology using superior seed and intensive cultivation system in Patemon Village, Bojongsari District, Purbalingga Regency, Central Java Province. This activity involves the target audience, the "Warakan" Farmer Group. The method used 1). Transfer of knowledge and technology on papaya cultivation using superior seed and intensive cultivation system, 2). Demonstration and plot (demplot) of papaya on 1400 m2 tegalan land, and 3). Biopesticide formulation training. Results obtained: 1). Farmers gained knowledge and experience of papaya cultivation using superior seeds and intensive cultivation system, 2). Cultivation of 200 papaya on 1400 m2 tegalan land as a model for farmers, 3). Farmers gained knowledge and skills to make plant-based pesticides to control papaya pests, 4). flowering and fruiting of cultivated papaya faster, and have a shorter height than papaya have been cultivated farmers before. Abstract

Black rice is one of fungtional food sources. The obstacle of its cultivation is availability of qualified seeds and organic fertilizers input. This research aimed to determine the effect of stable manure on growth and yield of black rice, to observe the effect of seddling number per planting hole and to obtain the best combination of stable manure and seedling number on the growth and yield of black rice. The research was conduct in rice field on Karanglewas Kidul village, Karanglewas district, Banyumas, Central Java during April until September 2016. This research used a split plot design, with 3 repetition. The main plot was three type of stable manure (chiken, goat and cow), while the subplot was seddling number (1, 2 and 3). Data was analyzed using ANOVA and DMRT at p 0.05 level. The results showed that chicken manure gave the highest productivity rice of 5.15 tons ha-1. The 1 seedling each hole gave the highest result on panicle length and grain number per panicle. The better combination treatment was chicken manure and three seedling per planting hole wich gave the highest grain yield of 5.38 tons ha-1.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the distribution of rice plant growth characters in various areas in Banyumas Regency. The research took place from February to August 2021 in all sub-districts of Banyumas Regency. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 replications. The factor tested is the difference in location in the sub-district in Banyumas Regency. The variables observed included the character of rice plant growth (plant height, number of tillers, leaf length and leaf width. The results showed that plant height, number of tillers, leaf length and width showed significantly different results between locations (districts) in Banyumas Regency. Height The best plants, leaf length and leaf width were shown in rice plants in Gumelar District, while the highest number of tillers was shown by rice plants in Pekuncen District.

Abstract

Permasalahan adanya degradasi lahan akibat aplikasi pupuk dan pestisida sitentik menyebabkan kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap pangan sehat seperti beras semakin meningkat. Untuk merespon tren tersebut diperlukan proses konversi dari sistem pertanian konvensional menjadi organik. Proses konversi ini diawali dari peningkatan pemahaman petani terhadap sistem pertanian organik serta membangun pola pikir yang berorientasi pada pelayanan lingkungan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi kelompok tani Tani Makmur 3 Desa Sokawera dalam proses konversi menuju sistem pertanian padi organik. Metode kegiatan meliputi tahapan penyuluhan dasar pertanian organik dan demplot padi organik. Demplot yang dilakukan dengan aplikasi pupuk organik urin kelinci sebagai pupuk dan pestisida nabati. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan adanya peningkatan pemahaman petani dalam sistem pertanian organik dan produksi padi yang cukup tinggi yaitu 5,6 t/ha di musim tanam pertama dengan sistem organik.
