Abstract

Potatoes are the leading agricultural product in Kabanjahe itself. Under these conditions, Kabanjahe has great potential in terms of agriculture, especially potato plants. The size of a farm's income is influenced by revenue and production costs. However, currently potato farmers in Kabanjahe are faced with a problem, namely the productivity of potatoes that is not yet maximized and the price of potatoes is uncertain, which will affect the productivity and income earned by farmers. This study aims to analyze the income of potato farming. The research was conducted in August 2022. Data analysis used income analysis and R/C ratio analysis. The average income of potato farming in Kaban Village, Kabanjahe District, Karo Regency is Rp. Rp. 29,967,190/ha/MT. The average total cost incurred in potato farming activities is IDR 55,321,810/ha/MT, and the average income in potato farming is IDR 85,289,000/ha/MT. This means that potato farming in Kabanjahe District, Karo Regency is still profitable because farmers' income can still cover the total costs incurred during the production process of the potato farming business.

Abstract

Currently, the area of ​​smallholder oil palm plantations in Indonesia reaches 41.44% and is wider than state-owned oil palm plantations which are only 3.87%. However, the role of smallholder oil palm plantations is still not optimal due to low land productivity and yields, so technical culture management is needed that can maintain land productivity and oil palm yields in a sustainable manner through the provision of a combination of inorganic-organic fertilizers and TPT planting. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of inorganic-organic fertilizers and A. gangetica as TPT in improving soil chemical properties and growth of oil palm TM-1. The study used a factorial randomized design with three replications with two treatment factors, namely a combination of inorganic-organic fertilizers and TPT. The results showed that the interaction of P4T1 (100% inorganic 100%-organic fertilizer combination + TPT) and P3T1 (100% inorganic 100%-organic fertilizer combination + TPT) was able to improve soil chemical properties and growth of oil palm TM-1. Meanwhile, independently the combination treatment of 100% organic 100% inorganic fertilizer and TPT A. gangetica produced the most female flowers and the lowest male flowers.

Abstract

History textbooks play an important role in the history learning process at SMA Brigjend Katamso 1 Medan. These textbooks become the main source of information and understanding of historical events for students. The implementation of history textbooks shows a systematic and structured effort in incorporating historical material into the school curriculum. The use of high-quality history textbooks provides accurate and in-depth information about historical events, helping students understand their context. While important, the use of history textbooks also faces challenges such as limited information, the need to update content according to the latest research, and maintaining an inclusive diversity of historical perspectives. The use of history textbooks can improve history learning at SMA Brigjend Katamso 1 Medan by helping students gain a better understanding of history and relate it to the current social, political, and cultural context. This research is a library research where research is based on previous literature searches that are relevant to the problems discussed in this study. The data collected in this study were obtained through excavation and tracing of books, articles, magazines, journals, internet access, and other important records related to the subject of this study and can help understand the issues discussed. However, this research is descriptive analytical, which means collecting data, interpreting it, then analyzing and interpreting it.

Abstract

Penelitian analisis faktor – faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan usaha gula merah nira kelapa sawit ini adalahuntuk mengetahui berapa besar faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pedapatan usaha gula merah kelapa sawit di kecamatan pegajahan. Hasil penelitian analisisfaktor – faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan usaha gula merah nira kelapa sawitmenunjukan bahwa hasil sebagai berikut pengaruh Biaya bahan baku (X1) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pendapatan (Y). Sedangkan Biaya tenaga kerja (X2) dan Harga Jual (X3) tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pendapatan usaha gula merah di Kecamatan Pegajahan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah pertama untuk mengetahui pendapatan yang diperoleh petani secara maksimal dengan metode penggunaan rotasi tanam padi-padi-jagung di Desa Sei Beras Seikata, kedua untuk mengetahui tingkat efisiensi usaha tani rotasi tanam dalam satu tahun padi-padi- jagung di Desa Sei Beras Seikata. Lokasi Penelitian ini di Desa Sei Beras Seikata, Kecamatan Sunggal, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatra Utara. Pemilihan lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara sengaja. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner, wawancara dan survey lapangan. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah sumber data primer dan sumber data sekunder. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode total sampling yaitu seluruh populasi dijadikan sample. Hasil penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan pendapatan dan efisiensi pendapatan usaha tani Padi-Padi-Jagung dari mulai musim tanam pertama padi, musim tanam kedua Padi dan musim tanam ketiga Jagung. Kondisi bertanam padi dan jagung ini sangat menguntungkan bagi petani karena selain menambah dalam jumlah pendapatan namun manfaat yang di dapat cukup terbilang bagus anatara lain adalah pertama mengurangi intensitas serangan hama atau penyakit, kedua menigkatkan kesuburan tanah, ketiga membentuk ekosistem mikro yang stabil.

Abstract

Tumpatan Nibung Village is located in Batang Kuis District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. The people of Tumpatan Nibung Village live from agriculture, which consists of 90 percent of their living from cultivating paddy rice and 10 percent cultivating vegetable crops. The land in this village is rainfed land which has limited water, because it does not have irrigation so that the need for water depends on rainfall. The purpose of this service is to increase farmers' understanding of the benefits of using organic fertilizers both for the environment and to reduce the cost of buying chemical fertilizers and to provide added value for organic products that can increase income and also aims to transfer technology by providing training to farmers on how to make organic fertilizers derived from available in the village. The first method used was counseling to Farmer Groups with the theme of the benefits of organic fertilizers for the environment, calculating the cost of using organic fertilizers and the added value of organic fertilizers which can increase farmers' income. The second method used is training in making organic fertilizers. The third method is a demonstration plot for making organic fertilizer and cultivating vegetable crops using organic fertilizer.

Abstract

The community service carried out is located in Penen Village, sub-district. Sibiru-Biru, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. This community service aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the community through counseling and assistance in processing and managing shredded catfish as well as creating real business opportunities in Penen village in the future. That the added value generated from the processing of shredded catfish is Rp. 32,000 per kilogram. The share of labor in the shredded processing agroindustry is 21.28%. The profit earned is IDR 47,000/Kg with a profit rate of 46.81%.
