Abstract

This article aims to reveal how peace education is conveyed through history learning at MAN Medan. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The main informants in this study were history teachers and students at MAN 2 Model Medan and MAN 1 Medan. The results of the study show that peace education has a correlation with history education, one of which is with material on conflict and peace in history lessons. Peace education through history education is useful for conveying the values of peace, and can be conveyed effectively in history lessons. In addition, several things that become obstacles in conveying affective values in history learning are also obstacles to the implementation of peace education in history learning.

Abstract

History textbooks play an important role in the history learning process at SMA Brigjend Katamso 1 Medan. These textbooks become the main source of information and understanding of historical events for students. The implementation of history textbooks shows a systematic and structured effort in incorporating historical material into the school curriculum. The use of high-quality history textbooks provides accurate and in-depth information about historical events, helping students understand their context. While important, the use of history textbooks also faces challenges such as limited information, the need to update content according to the latest research, and maintaining an inclusive diversity of historical perspectives. The use of history textbooks can improve history learning at SMA Brigjend Katamso 1 Medan by helping students gain a better understanding of history and relate it to the current social, political, and cultural context. This research is a library research where research is based on previous literature searches that are relevant to the problems discussed in this study. The data collected in this study were obtained through excavation and tracing of books, articles, magazines, journals, internet access, and other important records related to the subject of this study and can help understand the issues discussed. However, this research is descriptive analytical, which means collecting data, interpreting it, then analyzing and interpreting it.

Abstract

The Datok Laksamana Institute for Typical Malay Songket Weaving in Langkat Dusun V Plantation Village, Tanjung Pura Langkat District, has been revitalized since 1986 by the Government through training for development. Directional development explores local wisdom that has existed since the mulda of the Langkat sultanate around the 18th century. This type of qualitative descriptive research is a research method that utilizes qualitative data and is described in descriptive history. This type of qualitative descriptive research is often used to analyze events, phenomena, or situations socially. This type of qualitative descriptive research is a combination of descriptive and qualitative research. Qualitative descriptive research displays the results of the data as they are, without manipulation or other treatment. The institution empowers members of the local community, so Langkat's unique woven motifs have succeeded in identifying 144 beautiful woven motifs. These motifs are extracted from culture and natural raw materials with high artistic and philosophical values that have thrived in people's lives and are woven into woven motifs. This study of noble-valued weaving motifs is full of essential values and is a guide for the Langkat Malay community in carrying out noble life stages and tasks such as traditional wedding attire, respecting guests, circumcision events, and so on. Within the 144 motifs that are related to the meaning of a typical life value, there can be a model that is able to build a strong personality. In this study, three typical motifs will be discussed: teni grass, Diving duck, and Tepak Sirih. The meaning of the philosophy or value contained in each motif is different. The value of these motifs is very humane, so they remain relevant from time to time. The traditions of the people, with their natural environment interweaving traditions in various aspects of life, are fought for to be passed on to the next generation. The realization of the meaning of culture conveyed by Ki Hajar Dewantara is that culture requires values of struggle to be developed by an independent spirit. The struggle to preserve cultural values in the 21st century faces opportunities and challenges. Society is internally challenged by the arrival of a global culture with technology that enters the soul aspects of the young generation in an unlimited way. Opportunities are directed by the government to explore traditional values to be developed within the education system as a characteristic of the nation's character. Optimizing oneself to become a whole person with the uniqueness of each ethnicity to become a resilient world community is the ideal of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

Progresses in science and innovation, particularly data innovation, significantly impact the readiness and execution of learning procedures. Media is a middle person like television, radio, slides, and written words, however it additionally incorporates individuals as learning assets or as exercises including conversations, workshops, field outings, reenactments, etc, which are molded to add understanding and change understudies' mentalities to increment information. This review utilized a subjective elucidating research technique, with the exploration area at Mulia Pratama Secondary School. The fundamental subjects in this review were history educators and understudies at Mulia Pratama Secondary School who zeroed in on learning exercises about Indonesian history material by using audiovisuals in history learning. Abstract

Pentingnya pendidikan karakter di lingkungan remaja saat ini sebagai sistem nilai-nilai karakter yang ditanamkan melalui pengetahuan, perasaan, dan tindakan untuk mendidik moral dan perilaku dalam meminimalisir krisis moral yang telah menimbulkan berbagai masalah seperti penyalahgunaan narkoba, kekerasan, dan bullying. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan tentang pentingnya pendidikan karakter untuk mengatasi permasalahan moral mahasiswa program studi pendidikan sejarah di Universitas Islam Sumatera Utara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kemerosotan moral mahasiswa seperti perkembangan waktu, keluarga, teman sebaya, lingkungan sekolah, dan lingkungan sosial. Manfaat pendidikan karakter antara lain melatih kecerdasan, mencegah perilaku buruk, meningkatkan budi pekerti dan akhlak individu,serta dapat menciptakan suasana yang kondusif, serta membangun bangsa yang lebih jujur dan lebih baik. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan karakter sangat penting dalam mewujudkan warga negara yang baik dengan nilai-nilai moral yang selaras dengan moralitas bangsa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus yang sesuai dengan kasus yang di teliti melalui observasi terhadap individu atau kelompok yang terkait dengan krisis moral yang terjadi dalam kalangan mahasiswa program studi pendidikan sejarah di Universitas Islam Sumatera Utara. Dalam melakukan analisis pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter untuk mengatasi krisis moral mahasiswa, peneliti memilih kasus yang relevan dan mengumpulkan data yang akurat berdasarkan sumber dan objek yang di teliti sehingga analisis data dapat di lakukan secara cermat untuk menemukan pola atau tema yang muncul terkait dengan pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter yang di teliti.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of Purbaganal Socopan Islamic Boarding School education for the people of Padang Bolak District, North Padang Lawas Regency, starting from the history of the Islamic Boarding School to the inhibiting factors in the development of this educational institution. The method used by the author in this research is a historical research method using historical methods, by conducting direct observations in the field and interviews. The results of this research describe the history of Islamic boarding schools starting from the Kingdom period, the colonial period, the period before independence to the period after independence. After that, we discuss the history of the Purbaganal Islamic Boarding School, Politeness for the Community of Padang Bolak District, North Padang Lawas Regency, the educational role of the Purbaganal Islamic Boarding School for the Community of Padang Bolak District, North Padang Lawas Regency. The initial aim of establishing this Islamic Boarding School was to bring together young people from Sosopan Village to get to know the school and get a diploma to get job opportunities. The development of this Islamic boarding school is growing very rapidly because the people in Sosopan village have quite good enthusiasm for the establishment of this Islamic boarding school. The obstacles that occur in developing this Islamic boarding school are the lack of educational facilities, differences of opinion between boarding school administrators, funding factors and a lack of teaching staff.

Abstract

Regulation number 20 of 2003 concerning the state school system states that community development aims to grow capacity and shape individuals as well as the progress of the state in order to make state life more broad-minded. However, in educational organizations, various obstacles have been traced that interfere with the most common way of achieving quality training as found in the History Education Study Program of the Islamic University of North Sumatra, where efforts to work on the existing nature of training have not been ideal. Various things hinder the improvement of the nature of non-ideal teaching, including: (1) an administrative framework that is not functioning properly, (2) the incompatibility of existing educational programs with the demands of current needs, (3) the nature of showing insufficient staff, (4) there is no student discipline, (5) and there are problems and solidarity between teachers and staff. In circumstances like this, a position of authority is needed that functions to improve and improve the existing framework so that change can occur from now on.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Abdul Haris Nasution was a high-ranking Indonesian general and politician. He served in the military during the Indonesian National Revolution and he remained in the military during the subsequent turmoil of Parliamentary democracy and Guided Democracy. This journal discusses Abdul Haris Nasution's role in the development of the Indonesian National Army (TNI). Through the historical research method, this journal describes Nasution's contribution in building and developing the TNI from 1945 to 1966. Nasution is an important figure in Indonesian military history, who played a key role in the formation and modernization of the TNI. This journal analyzes Nasution's role in strengthening the TNI's organizational structure, improving its quality and operational readiness, and fighting for the country's sovereignty. This research reveals how Nasution played a role in creating a formidable defense force for Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to understand, add insight and to know the role of A.H. Nasution in the development of the TNI, and so that this research becomes a basic reference for further research.
