Abstract

From the results of the study it can be concluded that mangrove ecosystems in the village of Tanjung Limau, Muara Badak District, were found in 5 types, namely (R. apiculata, A. alba, N. fruticans, C. tagal and S. alba). With species density ranging from 1-68 individuals / ha and thickness of mangroves between 160-200 m. While the results of the tourism suitability index obtained categories according to the carrying capacity of the region 8-10 people / day. There are 3 management strategies and development of mangrove ecotourism in Tanjung Limau Village, namely: first to make proposals to the private sector and the government in improving the management and development of mangrove ecotourism through capital assistance and improvement of tourism facilities and infrastructure in Tanjung Village, secondly to increase / encourage government participation in helping the community to manage and develop mangrove ecotourism and thirdly to coordinate and collaborate between communities, NGOs, the private sector and the government in managing and developing mangrove ecotourism.

Abstract

A first survey  on a community marine species in  river of Mahakam East Kalimantan was performed in December 2015 and May 2016. Fish samplings were carried out from two locations the lower and the middle part of Mahakam. Whilst hydrometric observation of current velocity, water depth and tide was measured not only at the locations but also along the river from 2013 to 2017, tide was only observed in the lower part of Mahakam.  However, marine fish species were recognized to reach up the middle part of Mahakam, 230 km from coastline.  To describe a community fish structure and its dissimilarity of the two surveyed locations, diversity and bray Curtis index were applied.  Almost 15 marine fish species identified in river of Mahakam was demersal fish and index of the similarity of marine fish community between the locations only 0.106.

Abstract

Coral reefs found in Tihik-Tihik village shows moderate coral reef status with indications of greater potential for damage so that protection efforts are needed. This research aims to analyze the abundance and community structure of plankton in reef ecosystems natural and artificial reefs. Sampling was carried out in the month of October – November 2020 at four stations at high and low tide with using a plankton net, then identified in the Water Quality Laboratory FPIK Unmul. The identified plankton consisted of 7 classes, namely, Bacillariophyceae (21 species), Conjugatophyceae (3 species), Copepoda (8 species), Cyanophyceae (1 species), Dinophyceae (10 species), Oligotrichea (3 species), Trebouxiophyceae (1 species). The highest total abundance of artificial reef ecosystems was at station 2 pairs with a total of 6741 ind/l. The diversity index (H') ranged from 2.12 to 2.22. The uniformity index (E) ranged from 0.92 – 0.96. The dominance index (D) ranges from 0.11 to 0.13. Sorenssen similarity index ranged from 29 – 68%.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Education serves as a foundational pillar in developing learners’ potentials to become individuals who are faithful, ethical, competent, creative, and responsible, as mandated by Indonesia’s Law No. 20 of 2003. In response to evolving educational needs, the curriculum has continuously undergone reforms, culminating in the introduction of the Merdeka Curriculum. This curriculum emphasizes student-centered learning, flexibility, and the strengthening of the Profil Pelajar Pancasila. This study aims to analyze how the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum across various educational levels influences learning innovation. Using a literature review approach, the study synthesized findings from national and international publications focusing on curriculum reform, project-based learning, teacher competency development, and the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy in higher education. The review indicates that the Merdeka Curriculum has encouraged notable improvements in educators’ pedagogical competencie

Abstract

Education serves as a fundamental pillar in national development, and effective policies play a crucial role in strengthening social, economic, and cultural structures. In Indonesia, various educational policies such as the 12-Year Compulsory Education Program and the School Operational Assistance (BOS) have been introduced to expand access and enhance the quality of learning. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of educational policy within the management of Indonesia’s education system, assess its influence on educational quality, and identify key challenges that arise during policy implementation. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, drawing on policy reviews, document analysis, and findings from previous empirical studies related to educational policy and management. The results indicate that while national policies have contributed to broader access to education, significant disparities continue to emerge between urban and remote areas, particularly in terms of infrastruct
