Abstract

Special needs children often behave maladaptively. This has a negative impact on the child and the surrounding environment. The purpose of this study was to describe the results of the implementation of behavior modification techniques in overcoming the maladaptive behavior of special needs children. The literature review method uses the online database search stage through Mendeley, the inclusion and exclusion process for articles in 2019-2021 obtained a total of 146 national scientific articles and after being rechecked, there are 17 literatures that match the criteria, then a descriptive synthesis and analysis is carried out, and the results are presented. The results of the synthesis and analysis show that the application of behavior modification can overcome maladaptive behavior in the social, self-development, and academic aspects of special needs children. Conclusions from 17 articles describe that behavior modification techniques are effective for overcoming maladaptive behavior in autism, ADHD, intellectual disability and hearing impairment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the level of support for successful learning in Inclusive Primary Schools in Banjarmasin. It reviewed three aspects of success support, namely: institutional aspects, teacher aspects, and aspects of facilities and infrastructure. These three aspects are very essential to support the success of inclusion learning that researchers believe makes a strong contribution. The approach in this study was a quantitative approach with survey research. The data sources in this study were 10 inclusive primary school principals in the city of Banjarmasin and secondary data sources were documentation, photos, records of results of activities and letters. Data collection techniques in this study were observation and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. This research was conducted by selecting 10 samples of Inclusive Primary Schools in Banjarmasin City. The results indicate that the level of support for successful learning in Banjarmasin Inclusive Primary School in terms of teacher aspects is 44%, 46% for institutional aspects, and 10% for facilities and infrastructure aspects. This means that the level of support for teacher aspects and institutional aspects is included in the category of moderate support, while the level of support for infrastructure and facilities is included in the category of very low

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low understanding of children with hearing impairments in reading comprehension. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to develop strategies for teaching reading comprehension for children with hearing impairments. The method used in Mix Methods. Stages of research conducted in the hierarchy, meaning that the first stages of research will affect the research stage further in order to achieve the research objectives. The results showed that the application of learning strategy in reading comprehension has been developed effectively applied to children with hearing impairment at SLB Prima Bakti Mulya in grade 4-B, the academic year of 2015/2016. This is evident from the results of student learning has increased from the first to the fourth trial. While based on the Wilcoxon test known the value of Z count = -2, 201 with Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.028 with a significance level (α) of 5%. Asymp Value. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0, 028 <α = 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted because Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) <Α = 0.05
