Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini telah dibangun Sistem Audit Intensitas Konsumsi Energi (IKE) Listrik Swalayan/Supermarket berbasis GUI Matlab (Studi Kasus Indomaret Jalan Pepaya Pekanbaru). Sistem audit yang dibuat memiliki kelebihan desain yang menarik, resolusi gambar yang tinggi, dapat menghitung jumlah kWh/perhari dan kWh /tahun secara otomatis dan memudahkan dalam melakukan audit energi listrik secara mandiri. Hasil Audit Energi Listrik menggunakan sistem Audit Intensitas Konsumsi Energi (IKE) di Indomaret Jalan Pepaya Pekanbaru sebesar 400.135 kWh/tahun dan termasuk boros. Untuk nilai error sistem audit energi listrik sebesar 0.00002 % .

Abstract

Sekitar 60% bencana alam ialah bencana alam akibat dari kejadian iklim ekstrem seperti banjir, kekeringan, kebakaran hutan, angin kencang/badai, tanah longsor, gelombang pasang tinggi dan meledaknya penyakit. Perubahan iklim menyebabkan meningkatnya ancaman terhadap ketahanan pangan, kesehatan manusia, ketersediaan air, dan juga ancaman keragaman hayati. Sebanyak 23 dari 323 kabupaten/kota di Indonesia rentan terhadap perubahan iklim yang dikarakterisasi sebagai tingginya nilai rasio rendaman, nilai kepadatan penduduk, nilai kawasan permukiman dan nilai kawasan non permukiman. Kota Pekanbaru mengalami perubahan iklim yang berdampak cukup nyata terhadap masyarakat Pekanbaru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat kerentanan Kota Pekanbaru terhadap perubahan iklim. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat kerentanan yaitu metode Centre for Climate Risk and Opportunity management (CCROM). Software Arc Gis 9.3 untuk memperoleh peta tingkat kerentanan Kota Pekanbaru. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil dari perhitungan tingkat kerentanan bahwa terdapat 49 kelurahan di Kota Pekanbaru tidak kategori rentan, 6 kelurahan dalam kategori agak rentan yaitu Kelurahan Kampung Tengah, Rejosari, dan Sukajadi, Industri Tenayan, Limapuluh dan Tanjung Rhu. Daerah yang dalam kategori rentan hanya satu yaitu Kelurahan Meranti Pandak.

Abstract

Methane gas is one of the greenhouse gases that is 21 times more potent than C02. Therefore, it is necessary to estimate the quality of pollutants released by landfills around the world. The purpose of this research is to predict the amount of methane emitted from Muara Fajar 2 landfill in Pekanbaru city using Landfill Gas Emissions (LandGEM) model. AERMOD is used to model the distribution of pollutants generated by landfills. This model requires meteorological data such as temperature, temperature, wind direction, wind speed, radiation, air pressure, cloud cover, humidity and cloud base height. The meteorological parameters used in this study are meteorological data obtained from the Climate Data Store (CDS) of Pekanbaru city. The results showed that the peak of methane emissions produced by Muara Fajar 2 Landfill was 19,290 Mg/year in 2049. Pollutant dispersion showed that in 2022 Muara Fajar 2 Landfill produced a dispersion of 2447814 μg/m3. Methane gas pollutants produced by Muara Fajar 2 Landfill have no impact on the surrounding environment.

Abstract

SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru merupakan salah satu institusi sekolah menengah atas yang dikelola oleh Majelis Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah (Dikdasmen) Pimpinan Daerah Muhammadiyah kota Pekanbaru. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan Kepala Sekolah dan Guru IPA SMA MUTU Pekanbaru tentang pembelajaran IPA ditemukan beberapa permasalahan diantaranya: belum ada media alternatif yang tepat, relevan dengan kompetensi dasar untuk mendukung pembelajaran IPA dan kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi multimedia dalam pembelajaran IPA masih kurang. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian di SMA MUTU Pekanbaru ini adalah PkM yang dilaksanakan berupa pendampingan mitra menggunakan simulasi interaktif PhET sebagai solusi inovatif pembelajaran pada masa pandemi secara luring dan daring. Pendampingan penggunaan simulasi interaktif PhET bagi guru IPA SMA Muhammadiyah 1 di kota Pekanbaru sebagai solusi inovatif pembelajaran pada masa pandemi berjalan lancar, memperoleh respons yang positif, mampu meningkatkan keterampilan dan rasa percaya diri guru. Selama pelatihan berlangung, guru-guru antusias, peserta berperan aktif selama workshop berlangsung, peserta berperan aktif selama pendampingan, peserta aktif bertanya mengenai materi yang di paparkan, peserta banyak meminta materi diluar modul yang di sediakan.. Beberapa indikator keberhasilan dalam pelatihan ini diantaranya meningkatnya pemahaman guru tentang simulasi interaktif PhET, mampu menggunakan simulasi interaktif PhET, peningkatan kualitas dan profesionalisme guru.

Abstract

The need for predictions is very necessary in various sectors of life, one of which is rainfall predictions. The threshold value for PM10 particles that is allowed to be in ambient air is, 150 µgram/m3/day). The aim of this research is to create a dynamic model predicting Pekanbaru City's rainfall for the next 3 years. Rainfall prediction in this research was carried out using the dynamic system modeling method with Powersim software. The data used is BMKG data for the Pekanbaru City for 5 years (2015 – 2019) using 4 parameters, namely rainfall, air humidity, wind speed and temperature. Prediction results show that air humidity in Pekanbaru City has the same pattern as BMKG, namely the highest month is December and the lowest is August. Wind speed prediction results are highest in July and lowest in May. The highest temperature in Pekanbaru City is in April and the lowest is in January. Rainfall for 2020 – 2021 is predicted to experience light rain on average, because it has the same data pattern on the variables that influence it. So it can be interpreted that the validation results for air humidity, wind speed and temperature in Pekanbaru City show that they are valid because they do not exceed the limit value of ≤ 5%.

Abstract

This research was conducted in March 2022 in the Coastal Waters of Dumai City. This study aims to analyze the amount of organic matter and the abundance of macrozoobenthos and the relationship between the amount of organic matter and the abundance of macrozoobenthos. The method used is a survey method consisting of 10 stations with 2 replications at each station. And 1 station is a control station located on the north coast of North Rupat District, Bengkalis Regency. Sediment sampling was carried out in the field and then taken to the Marine Chemistry Laboratory, Riau University for analysis of organic matter and macrozoobenthos analysis. Based on a simple linear regression test, the relationship between the amount of organic matter and the abundance of macrozoobenthos obtained a correlation value (r) = -0. 4637 with the mathematical equation y = -4.884x + 98.896. The test results show a weak and inverse relationship between the amount of organic matter and the abundance of macrozoobenthos. This means that with the increase in the amount of organic matter, the abundance of macrozoobenthos in the coastal waters of Dumai City will decrease. Abstract

Some studies say the pollution level in the waters oil industry in Dumai City, Riau. The level of pollution that occurs will affect the abundance of macrozoobenthos. This research aims to know the concentration of oil and heavy metals in sediments in the waters around the area of the Dumai City oil industry, knowing the effect of oil on the abundance of macrozoobenthos. This research method includes placement of research stations, observation and sampling, TSS sample analysis method, concentration oil in sediment samples, heavy metal concentrations of Pb, Cd, and Cu at sediment samples, macrozoobenthos abundance Analysis, and data analysis. Results research average concentration of oil in sediments in water areas The oil industry of Dumai City, Riau, has passed the threshold that has been set determined by the Department of Water Resources Quality Assurance/Quality Control Program That is > 1000 ppm, so it can be said that station 1 up to 9 are polluted and harmful to organisms that live on the bottom those waters relationship of oil concentration, heavy metals (Pb, Cd, and Cu) moderate to weak.

Abstract

AbstrakAmerican Hospital Association menyatakan bahwa rumah sakit adalah lembaga yang mencakup tenaga medis profesional dan fasilitas kesehatan tetap yang mengelola berbagai layanan kesehatan, termasuk pemeriksaan, diagnosis, dan pengobatan. Aktifitas rumah sakit berpotensi menghasilkan limbah cair, padat, dan gas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi hubungan antara aktivitas rumah sakit dan karakteristik pH, suhu, serta COD dalam limbah yang dihasilkan. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik secara deskriptif, menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson untuk menganalisis hubungan antara variabel-variabel tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pH memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan jumlah pasien rawat inap (r = -0,840, p = 0,018). Karakteristik suhu tidak menunjukkan hubungan signifikan dengan variabel lain, sementara COD menunjukkan hubungan signifikan dengan jumlah karyawan (r = -0,905, p = 0,005), yang berarti peningkatan jumlah karyawan berkorelasi dengan penurunan COD. Kata Kunci : air limbah rumah sakit, korelasi , pH, suhu, COD  AbstractThe American Hospital Association defines hospitals as institutions comprising medical professionals and fixed health facilities that manage various health services, including examination, diagnosis, and treatment. Hospital operations have the potential to generate liquid, solid, and gaseous waste. This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between hospital activities and pH, temperature, and COD characteristics in the waste produced. The research employed a descriptive-analytical observational approach, utilizing the Pearson correlation test to analyze the relationships between these variables. The findings revealed that pH had a significant relationship with the number of inpatients (r = -0.840, p = 0.018). Temperature characteristics showed no significant relationship with other variables. Meanwhile, COD demonstrated a significant relationship with the number of employees (r = -0.905, p = 0.005), indicating that an employee increase correlates with decreased COD levels. Keywords: hospital wastewater, correlation, pH, temperature, COD

Abstract

The environmental challenges faced by Batik Bujang and Batik Candafa, two Riau-based SMEs, stem primarily from the production process, which generates substantial wastewater containing harmful chemicals. The improper disposal of these by-products poses serious risks to water bodies and surrounding ecosystems. This research aims to design a waste management system using eco-friendly technologies capable of processing up to 40 liters of wastewater, thereby minimizing environmental harm. A mixed-method approach was adopted, combining quantitative analysis of waste volume and chemical composition with qualitative insights from SME owners. The findings indicate a significant reduction in chemical pollutants post-treatment, aligning with eco-sustainability goals. This study fills the research gap by providing a technological solution specifically tailored to the needs of small-scale batik producers, emphasizing sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Abstract

Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau (UMRI), one of the campuses that supports development programs, has carried out planning and coaching students to become entrepreneurs. This can be seen from the level of participation and success of UMRI students in several student competitions, such as PKM-Entrepreneurship, P2MW, and Entrepreneurship Award. However, after the competition, many student businesses closed due to inadequate business management, equipment, and other factors. Therefore, this coaching program was carried out. The methods used are socialization, selection, provision, increasing tenant capacity (entrepreneurship training and internships), providing science and technology as well as business capital, mentoring, and evaluation monitoring. As a result of this activity, there are 20 student tenants who partner with 10 types of products. There has been an increase in tenant capacity with training, onboarding (internships), mentoring, and application of science and technology, as well as capital provided. It is hoped that this increase in tenant capacity will also improve their business skills so that their business can run well.
