Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine how student learning outcomes in reaction rate material are impacted by the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a posttest only nonequivalent control group design. Purposively, the sample was chosen, with 30 students in each of the two classes, XI SAINKES 4 as the experimental class and XI SAINKES 1 as the control class. Student Worksheets (LKPD) and twenty multiple choice post-test questions were among the tools utilized. Data were collected through written tests and documentation, then analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests with independent sample t-tests using IBM SPSS Statistics 26. According to the findings, the experimental class’s average post-test score was 74, whereas the control class’s was 55,67. The hypothesis test showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0,000 (p < 0,05), so the alternative hypothesis was accepted. Thus, student learning outcomes in reaction rate material were significantly impacted by the use of the STAD cooperative learning model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of Kahoot media on learning motivation on periodic properties of elements based on learning motivation indicators. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with purposive sampling technique on 36 students of class X-B SMAN Bogor Regency which was conducted in October 2024. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate an increase in learning motivation with an average percentage value of 77.66 (good category). So it can be concluded that Kahoot media can increase students' learning motivation on Periodic Properties of Elements material based on learning motivation indicators.

Abstract

Understanding topics in learning must be supported by interesting learning models, especially in chemistry subjects. Learning models that are by the circumstances of students will make it easier for students to receive lessons given by the teacher. This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes by applying direct instruction learning models to electron configuration material. The research method used is descriptive. This research was conducted at Nusantara Plus High School with a sample of class X. The results showed that the average score obtained was 93.10 with the highest score of 100 and the lowest score of 70. Thus it can be concluded that the direct instruction learning model on electron configuration material can improve the learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Nusantara Plus Ciputat.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of a Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) Learning models on students’ scientific literacy. The method used in this study was quasi experimental design, with research design nonequivalent control group. Population of this study were all the student’s of XI science classes. The sample was taken by purposive sampling and obtained 2 classes included XI science 1 and 2 as control and experimental class with the total number of each classes were 28 students. The data were collected through multiple choice test consisting of 20 items related to scientific literacy. The data obtained were analyze by independent sample t-test. The test result of independent sample t-test show sig (2-tailed) 0,05 at significance 5%, then H1 is accepted. The result indicated that Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) a significance effect on student’s scientific literacy on colloid system concepts.

Abstract

Based on data from the Ministry of Education and Culture that as many 646.200 schools were closed due to the covid-19. So, Indonesia had to do distance learning. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of distance learning in chemistry learning at Serang Regency State High School. To achieve these objectives, researchers used descriptive methods using quantitative data analysis. Using data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires for teachers and students, interviews, and documentation with a total sample of 120 people. The results showed that the effectiveness of distance learning on the Chemistry Teacher questionnaire in five schools in Serang Regency had a percentage of 86.51% with a very effective category. The effectiveness of distance learning on the questionnaire. Students in five schools in Serang Regency have a percentage of 67.30 in the effective category. This is in accordance with the results of the chemistry scores obtained by students for one semester with an average value of 83 in the high category. So, in general, the disctace learning process for chemistry subjects at Serang Regency State High School has a percentage of 76,9% or runs effectively.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the phenomenon of learning loss and its revitalization in chemistry learning in an effort to support the independent learning curriculum and find out the implementation of merdeka belajar in schools. The sample of this research was 227 students and 17 high school chemistry teachers in the Bogor area which were determined by cluster random sampling. The method used is descriptive with a survey approach. The instruments used in this study consisted of: student and teacher questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive. The results of the study show that: 1) the implementation of merdeka belajar in high schools in the Bogor area is included in the independent changing and independent sharing categories. 2) the percentage of the average score of the results of the student questionnaire is 62.4% (enough) and the teacher's questionnaire is 72.7% (good). 3) Based on statistical tests, a significance value of 0.000 ≥ 0.05 is obtained. So it can be concluded that the implementation of merdeka belajar at senior high schools in the Bogor area did not have an effect on the phenomenon of student learning loss in chemistry subjects.Keywords: learning loss, merdeka belajar, learning chemistry.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i4.pp1916-1927

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to determine the effect of Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) learning models on students' science process skills on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials. The subjects in this study were students of class X at SMA Negeri 89 East Jakarta in the academic year 2013/2014. The research method applied was a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. Samples were taken by purposive sampling and divided into 2 groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The instruments used in this study were essay test instruments and observation sheets. Data analysis techniques were obtained using the "t" test. The results showed that the use of Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) learning models had an influence on students' science process skills in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials. Keywords:  learning model of Predict, Observe, Explain (POE); Science process skills; Electrolyte and Non-electrolytes solution      Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 89 Jakarta Timur tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling dan dibagi 2 kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes essay dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data diperoleh menggunakan uji “t”. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) memberikan pengaruh terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Kata Kunci: Keterampilan proses sains; Larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit; Model pembelajaran Predict, Observe, Explain (POE).
