Abstract

Gempa bumi adalah fenomena alam yang mempengaruhi respons bangunan terhadap getaran. Simulasi menggunakan alat getar, yang memungkinkan pengujian struktur bangunan dengan tingkat getaran yang menyerupai kondisi gempa. Penelitian ini berfokus pada desain alat getar yang memanfaatkan motor AC sebagai mekanisme getar dengan pengaturan getaran menggunakan Variable Speed Drive (VSD). Pengaturan kecepatan motor melalui VSD memungkinkan pengaturan frekuensi dan amplitudo getaran. Desain dari alat getar berfokus pada dominan pada arah z, namun tetap ada pengaruh terhadap gerakan arah x dan y, seperti yang terjadi pada kondisi nyata. Disain dengan memanfaatkan motor AC tipe induksi sebagai beban sekaligus sebagai pengatur getaran menjadi usulan disain yang berbeda dengan disain alat getar lainnya. Sensor mikrobit sebagai alat umpan balik (feedback) untuk mendeteksi gerakan alat getar ini untuk memantau getaran. Hasil data pengamatan menunjukkan telah terealisasi prototipe alat getar dengan frekuensi getar 9%-12% dari 50 Hz. Peletakkan sensor di permukaan alat getar berpengaruh kestabilan getaran. Pada peletakkan di pusat alat getar lebih stabil pada simpangan arah x dan y dengan frekuensi getar 9%, 10%, dan 11% terhadap 50 Hz, menunjukkan getaran arah z yang lebih dominan. Untuk frekuensi lebih besar atau sama dengan 12% dari 50 Hz, simpangan keseluruhan makin membesar dan tidak stabil.

Abstract

ABSTRAKWater supply system dari sumber ke pengguna merupakan layanan penting, sehingga perlu dirancang untuk menyediakan air dengan tingkat tekanan yang cukup. Pengendalian water supply system dipengaruhi oleh kombinasi pemasangan pompa secara paralel dan seri untuk menghasilkan performansi yang dibutuhkan. Plant simulator water supply system dirancang dalam beberapa jenis instalasi yaitu pompa tunggal, pompa seri, pompa paralel, dan keran sebagai gangguan. Selain pengaruh instalasi, pengendalian plant simulator menggunakan PID diperlukan untuk menghasilkan tekanan air yang diinginkan. Plant simulator untuk setiap instalasi dimodelkan menggunakan identifikasi sistem, sehingga proses pengendalian dapat dirancang secara simulasi sebelum diimplementasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa instalasi pompa paralel pada plant simulator water supply system memberikan rata-rata penurunan tekanan air terkecil bila diberi gangguan yaitu sebesar 16,92% untuk setiap dilakukan pembukaan keran.Kata kunci: water supply, pompa seri paralel, identifikasi, simulator, PID ABSTRACTWater supply system from source to user is an important service, so it needs to be designed to provide water with sufficient pressure level. The control of the water supply system is influenced by a combination of pump installation in parallel and series to produce the required performance. The plant simulator water supply system is designed in several types of installations, namely single pumps, series pumps, parallel pumps, and faucets as disturbances. In addition to the effect of installation, plant simulator control using PID is needed to produce the desired water pressure. The plant simulator for each installation is modeled using system identification, so that the control process can be designed in a simulation before being implemented. The results of this study indicate that the parallel pump installation on the plant simulator water supply system provides the smallest average drop in water pressure when disturbed, which is 16.92% for each tap opening.Keywords: water supply, parallel series pump, identification, simulator, PID

Abstract

ABSTRAKCardiac arrest merupakan permasalahan kesehatan yang signifikan. CPR dapat mengurangi resiko, namun tidak semua orang dapat melakukan CPR dengan benar. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka dibuat simulator pelatihan CPR yang dapat mengamati kedalaman dan frekuensi penekanan saat melakukan CPR. Simulator pelatihan CPR dibuat dengan sistem akuisisi data berupa estimasi kedalaman dan panduan kompresi. Sensor yang digunakan adalah accelerometer MMA 7361 dan force sensor FSR 406. Kedalaman dari akselerasi dapat diperoleh dengan mengintegralkan data accelerometer sebanyak dua kali. Integral dilakukan persiklus kompresi untuk mengurangi akumulasi error. Sistem panduan kompresi terdiri atas metronom sebagai acuan kecepatan kompresi, dan LED indikator frekuensi kompresi. Simulator pelatihan CPR ini memberikan estimasi kedalaman yang baik pada spons dan bantal menggunakan sampling rate sebesar 1 kHz dan integral per siklus kompresi.Kata kunci: Pelatihan CPR, Akuisisi Kedalaman, FSR 406, MMA7361 ABSTRACTCardiac arrest is a significant health problem. CPR can reduce risk, but not everyone can perform CPR correctly. Based on these problems, a CPR training simulator was created that can observe the depth and frequency of compressions when performing CPR. The CPR training simulator is built with a data acquisition system in the form of depth estimation and compression guidance. The sensors used are the MMA 7361 accelerometer and the FSR 406 force sensor. The depth of acceleration can be obtained by integrating the accelerometer data 2 times. The integral is performed per cycle of compression to reduce the accumulation of errors. The compression guidance system consists of a metronome as a reference for compression speed, and a compression frequency indicator LED. This CPR training simulator provides good depth estimation in sponges and pillows using a sampling rate of 1 kHz and integrals per compression cycle.Keywords: CPR Training, Depth Acquisition, FSR 406, MMA7361

Abstract

ABSTRAKBerdasarkan data Badan Penduduk Statistik (BPS) tahun 2019, jumlah penduduk lanjut usia yaitu 23,4 juta dan 26,2% diantaranya mengalami keluhan kesehatan. Beberapa keluhan kesehatan yang dialami berkaitan dengan mobilitas. Kursi roda merupakan salah satu alat bantu yang kerap digunakan oleh penyandang disabilitas atau seseorang yang memiliki keterbatasan mobilitas. Brain-Computer Interface digunakan sebagai sistem kendali kursi roda menggunakan Raspberry Pi berdasarkan masukan berupa sinyal EEG. Sinyal EEG tersebut digunakan untuk memprediksi perintah otak dan rangsangan gerakan bola mata dengan menerapkan algoritma gradient boosting. Hasil prediksi machine learning merupakan set point untuk menjalankan motor DC sehingga kursi roda dapat bergerak berdasarkan hasil prediksi. Sistem BCI pada kursi roda telah dilakukan uji coba, integrasi BCI pada kursi roda berhasil diterapkan dengan persentase keberhasilan sebesar 60%.Kata kunci: BCI, Machine Learning, Wheelchair Control. ABSTRACTAccording to the Badan Penduduk Statistik 2019, the number of elderly population is 23.4 million, and 26.2% of them experience health complaints. Some of these complaints are related to mobility. Wheelchairs are one of the commonly used aids for people with disabilities or mobility limitations. The Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) is employed as a control system for a wheelchair, utilizing a Raspberry Pi, which operates based on input signals derived from EEG (Electroencephalogram) signals. These EEG signals are used to predict brain commands and stimulate eye movement through the application of gradient boosting algorithms. The machine learning prediction results are the set points to run the DC motor so that the wheelchair can move based on the prediction results. The BCI system for wheelchairs has been tested, and the integration of BCI into wheelchairs has been successfully applied with a 60% success rate.Keywords: BCI, Machine Learning, Wheelchair Control.

Abstract

ABSTRAKAnalisis secara teoritis kuat tekan kolom beton persegi dengan perkuatan FRP masih mengandalkan pendekatan seperti yang digunakan untuk kolom lingkaran dengan modifikasi. Sesuai dengan kemajuan teknologi saat ini pendekatan menggunakan machine learning diharapakan dapat memberikan perspektif  berbeda sekaligus hasil yang lebih akurat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menggunakan beberapa teknik machine learning untuk memprediksi kuat tekan aksial kolom persegi yang diperkuat dengan FRP dengan berbagai radius kelengkungan pada sudutnya dan membandingkan metode machine learning dengan pendekatan analitik dan mekanik yang sudah ada. Tiga algoritma digunakan dalam pendekatan machine learning: Jaringan Syaraf Tiruan (JST), Categorical Boost (CatBoost), dan M5-Tree.  Ensemble Machine Learning membuat kinerja yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan tiga model individual JST, CatBoost, dan M5-Tree dengan nilai R-squared sebesar 0,9557. Penggunaan machine learning untuk memprediksi dibandingkan dengan beberapa usulan teori tegangan terkekang, memberikan hasil yang paling mendekati dengan nilai R-squared sebesar 0,8276.Kata kunci: tegangan, kolom beton, FRP, prediksi, pembelajaran mesin ABSTRACTTheoretically analyzing the compressive strength of square concrete columns with FRP reinforcement still relies on the approach as used for circular columns with modifications. In accordance with current technological advances, machine learning approaches are expected to provide a different perspective as well as more accurate results. The objective of this research is to use several machine learning techniques to predict the axial compressive strength of square columns reinforced with FRP with various radii of curvature at the corners and compare the machine learning methods with existing analytical and mechanical approaches. Three algorithms were used in the machine learning approach: Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Categorical Boost (CatBoost), and M5-Tree.  The machine learning ensemble performed better than the three individual models JST, CatBoost, and M5-Tree with an R-squared value of 0.9557. The use of machine learning to predict, compared to some proposed confined stress theories, gave the closest results with an R-squared value of 0.8276.Keywords: stress, concrete column, FRP, prediction, machine learning

Abstract

During the pandemic of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) that hit Indonesia, all activities were very limited. Electrical Engineering Study Program of Universitas Kristen Maranatha was motivated  to share knowledge especially in the field of science about "Basic Unity and Virtual Reality (VR)" to the public. This has been realized through community service activities pursued by students and lecturers. VR refers to computer simulations that create images of the world that appear in human senses, in the same way as humans perceive the real world in reality. This community service used the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. From the results of a survey of community service activities that have been carried out, it is concluded that the success in providing mentoring to improve the ability of the community to use Basic Unity and VR online, is shown by the results of an increase in the score from an average of 5.85 before the activity, to 7.58 (from a total score of 10) after the activity. The community service committee team's service during the activity was also considered very good and worthy of being maintained in subsequent activities. Meanwhile, the implementation of providing teaching materials, the readiness of the trainers, and the implementation of organizing activities online, still need to be re-evaluated and improved in the future for better results.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected the learning process in practice, especially for people in the engineering field. Activities stopped and learning activities become very obstructed for a long time. Tinkercad is a simulator application that could be used as a learning tool or medium in engineering. The service learning method is used as a way of teaching and learning that links positive and meaningful action in society. Service learning uses demonstrations and experiments are used to transfer knowledge to society. A workshop elaborating the use of Tinkercad based on the service learning method was carried out online through community service activities to meet community needs in the engineering field. The workshop results showed that the service learning method was sufficient to help the community to meet the learning needs of engineering practices. A thorough demonstrations by instructors and experiments done by participants guided by assistants, produced a satisfactory result for more than 90% of the workshop participants. Periodic literacy provision was a follow-up to improve the abilities of all participants who have take part in workshop activities.
